 “PLEASEE! ANDWAE! APPPPA!”  You shouted out to your father hoping that your voice will awaken him. Before you knew it, you were outside of his room looking through the glass window as the doctor strained to retrieve him. Tears fell down your face unendingly as you covered your mouth trying to muffle your cries. You froze when you saw his heart rate dropped down to zero. His life ended before your eyes. The nurse then opened the door and you bolted in hugging your father’s lifeless body.

“APPA! NOOO pl-plea-please! Please don’t leave me! WAKE UP! PLEASE! How can you leave me…YOU’RE THE ONLY PERSON I HAVE!” You shook him as you cried louder.

You arrived home late that night with swollen eyes. “SoonYi, Let's have a talk”, your step mother called out from the living room.

“Not now...” you replied as you went upstairs to your room to take a long shower. You let out a heavy sigh before going back down just to hear an infuriating voice.

“Yah! Soon-Yi!” so your father is dead now isn’t he? Well good news is that his funeral is going to be tomorrow.”

 “What?! Why so fast?” your eyes widened at the sudden news.

“Well to get it over and done with and tomorrow is Saturday. I’ve got the workers to call everyone so no need to wo-’’

“To get it over and done with? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!” you snapped at her and ran back to your room. You took a photo of you and your father from your nightstand and touched the frame *Appa…I miss you so much…* while hugging the picture, you cried yourself to sleep.

-Next Day-

Instead of being sunny and bright, it was dark and gloomy. Just like how you felt inside. After the memorial service you stayed behind, it was too hard to say goodbye. *Appa…you’re not going to be in pain anymore.* you gave a small smile and laid the flowers on the ground.

The sky suddenly turned pitch black and it began to rain. You went for a walk and let the rain mix with your tears. With your head lowered as you were walking, you accidently bumped into someone. Without glancing up, you just bowed and walked off.
