The Wedding and the Employee
In Full ColorsThe wedding started a few minutes after Hakyeon’s meeting with Taekwoon. Everyone was sitting down and Hakyeon stood in his rightful place. Jiwoo walked hand-in-hand with her father. She looked so beautiful. Her black hair was up in a bun. Her white dress flowed gracefully, and her various shades of gray bouquet complemented her nicely. When Jiwoo saw that Hakyeon was looking at her, she slightly covered her face with the bouquet. Hakyeon smiled slightly; Jiwoo can be cute at times.
“Dearly beloveth. we gather here today, to…” The Justice of the Peace started his speech. This was real. This was actually happening. Hakyeon tried hard to keep a smile on his face as he stood looking at his bride. She was so beautiful and so nice, but she was not his soulmate. She was someone else’s, and he was someone else’s, and those someones will never get to know their soulmates, and it all seemed so sad. Hakyeon felt like he was stealing.
Jiwoo, on the other hand, did not seem to think like Hakyeon. Her smile looked more genuine than Hakyeon’s, and her eyes showed happiness instead of dread. Hakyeon was now feeling guilty. He wished she could actually be with her soulmate. She deserved whoever that person was.
The wedding ran smoothly. In the end of it, Hakyeon kissed Jiwoo for the first time, and probably for the last because it did not feel right at all. He decided to ignore it and continue on to the reception. He much rather have fun to tonight than to wallow in his own discontent.
After a fine dinner and a first dance, Hakyeon was dying for the whole night to be over though. He realized he had no friends in here other than Jiwoo, but Jiwoo decided to spend much of her time with her brother instead of Hakyeon, and Hakyeon was not about to interrupt them either. Taekwoon did not look like a man that liked to
