Moving Slowly
In Full ColorsThat night, Hakyeon shut himself in his room and did not hesitate to call Jaehwan to tell him the good news. “How did it go? How did it go?” Jaehwan asked him when he answered the phone. He sounded like an excited puppy.
That excitement was so contagious that Hakyeon smiled brightly and tried really hard to contain the giggles that wanted to come out. “It went great,” Hakyeon said, trying really hard to stay calm.
“Really?! That’s great, hyung!” Jaehwan yelled through the phone, making Hakyeon move his phone away from his ear for a second. “Okay, now I need details. What’s going to happen now? Are you two like, together now?” Jaehwan asked in a gossipy tone.
Hakyeon rolled his eyes. He could imagine Jaehwan in bed on his stomach with his legs up and crossed. If the younger had long hair, he would be twirling it. Hakyeon did start thinking about his question though. “Um, no,” Hakyeon shook his head.
“What? No?” Jaehwan was confused. “Then how the hell did it go great?”
“Well, Jaehwan, I’ve told you many times that it’s complicated,” Hakyeon sat up and leaned his back against the headboard of the bed. “It went great because we both did admit that there was something,” Hakyeon explained.
“Well, of course there’s something. You two are soulmates,” Jaehwan said. Hakyeon could imagine him rolling his eyes.
“No way,” Hakyeon answered sarcastically. “I know, Jaehwan, but Taekwoon did not want anything to with it. I managed to convince him otherwise. We even hugged.” Hakyeon did not know why he felt a bit embarrassed in saying the last sentence.
“That’s cool, hyung. We hug too, remember?” Jaehwan simply said.
“Did you not listen to the first part of what I said?!” Hakyeon yelled through the phone.
Jaehwan laughed, “Yes, I did. Calm down. I’m happy for you, hyung. Though you are moving a little too slowly.”
“Slowly,” Hakyeon raised a brow, “What the hell? We literally found out we were soulmates two days ago.”
