The trip for Jeju took more time than it took waiting for Jiwoo. Hakyeon and Taekwoon were getting busier as the weeks passed. Mr Jung was thinking of retirement and wanted to make sure his son was really ready to take over the family business. He gave Taekwoon more and more work as the days passed, and Taekwoon had less and less time to be with Hakyeon.

Hakyeon yearned for Taekwoon’s company everyday, but he also did not have time. His father’s poor health was starting to take its toll, and he was getting weaker as time passed. Hakyeon had to step in many aspects of his father’s life. He started doing all the paperwork for the company, and stayed let at his father’s estate to take care of him. Nana did him a favor by taking care of his father during the day, but it was Hakyeon’s job to take care of him at night. He rarely went home. The old estate was becoming his home again.

Ever since that phone call long ago, Hakyeon had felt detached for Jaehwan. It was not that they did not communicate anymore. It was that the communication had lost its intimacy. Jaehwan was not telling him something important, and that make Hakyeon feel like Jaehwan did not trust him. And because Jaehwan did not trust him, Hakyeon did not go into detail with him anymore. Jaehwan was someone with a bubbly personality and always made sure everyone around him was happy and in a good mood.
