Farewell Battle Royal

Unrelenting Fortitude

Jeri tapped her foot on the floor to an unheard beat, waiting for her chaperones for the day to arrive in the lobby.

The SuJu members had decided to do a battle royal in terms of giving Jeri a type of send off gift, which Jeri still thought was a little unnecessary considering her and Jun would only be gone for about a week. The men has been adamant about doing this however, groups being made and straws being drawn.

The first day, Siwon and Kibum had teamed up to give the girl a real tour of Seoul, especially after hearing from Hangeng that she never really had the time to actually see the city due to schedules and other duties. They brought here all over the city, and as soon as they got near the shopping district, Jeri and Kibum proceeded to extort poor Siwon into buying them a bunch of stuff, Kibum coming out with a new set of clothes and some sunglasses while Jeri simply bought some nice sweaters and a large beanie. The outing ended up coming to a close when the oldest of the three demanded that his wallet couldn't take any more abuse.

The second day, Kangin, Heechul and Yesung had gotten a pass to a local Hot Spring type deal, but after realising that Jeri was a girl while they were all men as well as Jeri's discomfort with deep water, they ended up inviting a couple other girls from SM Entertainment to go with them, Jeri instantly being filled with glee when Amber, Victoria and Luna from f(x) ended up coming. Although it wasn't really bonding time with the three boys, the genders being separated by a large wall, Jeri had still enjoyed spending time and talking to her favourite girl group.

The third day, Ryeowook, Eunhyuk and Shindong had taken Jeri to a fair that had come to Seoul. There were small games, food vendors and rides that everyone simultaneously wanted to try, but when half-way through the day a group of ELF's noticed the three, they had to abandon their post in line for one of the rides and book it back to the van, Jeri sighing and following after them with a pout.

Remembering the fourth day made Jeri grin.

For the fourth day, Hangeng and Sungmin had taken her to a local martial arts training gym, having heard a while back that Jeri had shown interest in learning, not to mention if there was ever another sasange attack they wanted her to be able to defend herself. When they got there, she was a little intimidated by the teacher, but it turned out he was a very kind and patient man. It took her a bit to really grasp the fact that it was alright to actually kick people here, but she ended up getting the hang of Taekwondo fairly quickly and was soon exchanging hits with Sungmin and Hangeng themselves. There were a couple times when she accidentally got one of them on the rump and they started chasing her, making it turn into a game of tag rather than martial arts, Hangeng even throwing her under his arm and dragging her back much to their teacher's amusement.

Jeri was brought out of her memories when someone playfully tugged her hair from the back, the teen giving a short squeak in surprise before swinging around and coming face to face with a smirking Kyuhyun.

"Ya! Who said it was allowed to be pulling on my hair!" she huffed, giving him a pout.

Kyuhyun simply rolled his eyes and looked over his shoulder as Leeteuk and Donghae came out of the elevator and walked over to them.

"Are you ready for your last outing with the amazing Super Junior?" Leeteuk laughed, dramatically opening with arms with a grin.

"I'd feel better about it if Henry and Zhou Mi had been here," Jeri pouted, scuffing her foot on the floor.

When Jeri had asked about Henry and Zhou Mi, the idols had told her that the two had returned to China for some solo promotions and would be back by the time she got back. Jeri had tried calling them to tell them what was going on, but they were either extremely busy or their phones were off because they never picked up.

"C'mon Madame Pouty-Pants, off we go~" Donghae laughed, turning the girl around and leading her by the shoulders out the back door to the car.

"Wait! We're driving? As in… like… only the four of us? Oh God Kyutie please tell me you're the one who's driving!!" Jeri cried, desperately looking over at her fellow Maknae.

"Don't you think I've been in enough car accidents in my life? Of course I'm the one who's going to drive," Kyuhyun chuckled, giving the teen a look.

"Kyuhyun can drive as long as we don't have to vertical park anywhere," Donghae teased.

Jeri couldn't help but laugh as Kyuhyun glared at the older man.

"Continuing on," Leeteuk chuckled, reaching into his pocket. "Jeri-ah need needs to put this on."

When Jeri turned and saw the blindfold, two different thoughts popped into her head, one of which she knew would make Jun snicker and the other made her internally panic.

"Whhhyyyyyyy…?" she questioned, going with her second theory which was that it was going to be something ludicrous like bungee jumping or skydiving.

"Because we want it to be a surprise~" Donghae laughed, tying the blindfold onto the girl's head before she could think of a reason to refuse.

Choosing to leave her fate to the three older men, which she still wasn't quite sure was the greatest idea, Jeri allowed herself to be lead out of the building to the back parking lot, and into Kyuhyun's car, Leeteuk sitting in the back seat with her while Donghae sat in the passenger seat.

"Can you guys at least give me a hint as to where we're going?" she asked once she felt the car begin to move.

"Every little girl wants one," Kyuhyun snickered from behind the wheel, carefully pulling out into traffic and proceeding down the street.

"Wait what? Please telling me you're not taking me to an orphanage…"

"Orphanage!?" Leeteuk laughed.

"What the heck kind of childhood did you have?!" Donghae added, turning back to give the blindfolded girl a perplexed look.

"Well every little girl is given a baby doll and feeds it and stuff right?"

"Wrong," Leeteuk chuckled, patting Jeri's shoulder.

The teen pouted, crossing her arms over her chest and sinking further into the seat while the three men chuckled.

After what felt like nearly an hour of driving, the car finally pulled to a stop, Jeri hearing the tires crunching on gravel making her eyebrow raise, but stayed silent.

The three men climbed out and Leeteuk helped Jeri out of the car, a somewhat familiar smell instantly hitting the girl's nose. They walked her across the gravel slightly and when they counted down to three, Kyuhyun slid the blindfold off of her eyes.

Blinking a couple times to let her eyes get accustomed to the sudden brightness, Jeri's eyes widened when she realised she was standing in front of a horse pen, a wide open field and what looked like a race course off in the back.

"Every little girl always asks her daddy for a pony~" Kyuhyun teased.

Jeri couldn't help but laugh and look back at the three. "You talked to Jun didn't you," she assumed with a knowing smirk.

The three simply grinned and began leading her over to a large barn where an older couple were waiting with kind smiles. With some help, the three were astride four horses and given the basics of how to ride them. Kyuhyun and Leeteuk had, astonishingly, caught on very quickly and were soon racing with each other around the track while Donghae kept his horse at a slow canter beside Jeri's duo.

“So are you excited to be going to America?” Donghae asked, looking over at the girl.

“We’re going to Canada, not America,” Jeri corrected with a laugh. “But yeah, I’m pretty excited. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and I can show you guys when I get back.”

“Remind me what you’re going to get over there?” Donghae asked.

Jeri simply grinned and put a finger to her lips causing the dancer to pout.

"You two are so boring!" Leeteuk laughed, making his horse trot up to them.

"Yeah, you're supposed to be having fun, not flirting hyung," Kyuhyun teased, giving the older man a smirk.

"Bwoh?!?" Donghae squeaked, turning towards the maknae with a stunned look.

Jeri couldn't help but laugh and lightly urged her horse forward into a trot, the other three right behind her.

As they rode around a rumble came from the sky making the owners call them back just before it started to downpour.

"Well… at least you got to ride your first horse," Leeteuk sighed, watching as the rain pounded down on the track they had just been on.

"It may have only been a couple minutes, but it was still a lot of fun," Jeri smiled, hugging the three in gratitude.

"Maybe next time we have some time off we'll take you back out here and check the weather forecast just in case," Kyuhyun laughed, draping his arm across her shoulder.

Jeri nodded in agreement and accepted the cup of tea from the ranch owners when they came over with the tray.

"So, who won?" Heechul asked, nudging the girl in the ribs.

"Well, first of all, you guys all did a good job, I don't think I've ever had so much fun in much a short amount of time," Jeri laughed. "And I'll give out the prizes now... but you have to line up."

The men quickly lined up and closed their eyes when Jeri motioned them to. The teen silently laughed when she saw the numerous confident smirks on their faces, Heechul even reaching out his arms waiting for her to pick him. Jeri bit her lip and looked among the 13 men. She did have a lot of fun with each of them, but two outings really stood out for her; the martial arts training and the horse-back riding.

She'd had a blast on both of them so choosing between the two would be hard, but Jeri finally made her decision purely based on the fact that she smiled the most when she remembered it. She walked forward and moved so that she was standing in front of the first man, him simply standing there like he had fallen asleep, making her have to hold back a laugh. She in a breath and leaned forward, lightly touching her lips to his cheek. He instantly smiled and bounced a little on his feet, making her have to hold back a laugh again. She moved down the line to the next person and followed the same procedure, except when she kissed his cheek, he jumped back and started dancing, making everyone open their eyes and laugh.

"Hangeng-hyung looks a little too happy if you ask me..." Kibum stated with a laugh.

"I think Jeri stole his first kiss," Kangin added, giving the girl a look.

“I thought Mickey was Hannie’s first kiss??” Jeri claimed, giving the two a smarmy grin.

The others burst into laughter, memories from Exploration of the Human Body resurfacing after all these years.

"So the winners are Hangeng and Sungmin. Congrats guys," Leeteuk said, clapping for the two winners.

"Why'd you pick them? All you did was train!" Heechul whined with a pout.

"If that was training I want to go again," Jeri shot back with a laugh, everyone following after her.

"We could take you again if you really wanted to..." Sungmin claimed, gently rubbing the corner of his mouth.

"Really?!" Jeri cheered, jumping slightly.

The guys burst out laughing as Sungmin nodded with a smile.
