Luhan glanced at Xiumin, frantically wondering what to do. “Remember the plan.” Xiumin said, speaking to everyone but looking at Luhan, as if sensing Luhan’s sudden panic. Right, the plan. Shoot at them from above. Luhan nodded. “Okay, me and Xiumin will attack from the window. Kris can help us out. Lay, get the ladder back up. Baekhyun and Suho,  put in the extra ammunition in the guns.” Luhan ordered, thinking quickly.

Thankfully, everyone nodded, quickly moving to do the actions. Xiumin and Kris followed Luhan to the window and they cautiously peeked. Sehun, Chanyeol and Kai were walking (quite noisily) through the forest, looking around obliviously. “Do you think that they would be here?” Sehun asked Kai. Kai shrugged. “I don’t know.” The boy said, sounding slightly awkward. Luhan turned to Xiumin and Kris. “Do they not see the bigass treehouse? It’s not exactly easy to miss.” He commented. Kris furrowed his eyebrows. “They are acting slightly suspicious…” The boy commented. “Whatever it is, we should exploit this by shooting at them and getting them out.” Xiumin added. Luhan nodded. “Okay, let’s all take one person. Kris goes with Chanyeol, Xiumin with Kai and I’ll do Sehun.” Luhan suggested. Kris and Xiumin nodded and they looked over the window, aiming their guns carefully at their own member. Thankfully, they weren’t moving around too much. Luhan aimed carefully at Sehun and counted out loud. “One, two-”  But, before he could say three, the three boys suddenly looked up. Chanyeol gave a loud cheer and grin before throwing something. “What is he-?” Xiumin was cut off when a small object landed in the treehouse.

Everyone sprang apart. Luhan cautiously peered at it. “What is-” “Holy , it’s a grenade! Take cover!” Kris’s yell scared the crap out of Luhan but his words quickly replaced the fear with panic as Luhan grabbed Xiumin’s hand and pulled him behind a box. They landed with Luhan on top of the older boy but the position was forgotten as they heard a big ‘bang’ (AN: BIG BANGGGG). Luhan sank even lower so that their noses were touching, shutting his eyes from the sound, his hold on Xiumin becoming even tighter. Luhan heard a string of curses in Mandarin before Kris yelled out: “Come out, its fine now.” Luhan and Xiumin scrambled from the spot, looking at the damage.   

Kris and Suho had been shot, Kris looked pissed off whereas Suho looked sheepish. Their clothing was covered in blue from the other team. “Oh my god.” Luhan said, sighing. Kris cursed again, calling the other team things that would make their eyes pop out. “That’s quite enough.” Luhan quickly interjected. “What do we do now, hyung?” Baekhyun asked, looking anxious as he appeared from behind the stack of ammunition. “They’re going to keep throwing bombs at us if we stay here. We won’t be able to escape them-there’s barely anything to hide behind.” Xiumin observed. Luhan nodded in agreement. “But what do we do?” He asked Xiumin. Xiumin glanced at him with amusement on his face. “You’re the captain.” He reminded. Luhan pouted. “Being the captain is hard.” He whined.  

Xiumin pinched his cheek. “Aigoo, using aegyo again?” He asked playfully. Baekhyun cleared his throat extravagantly. “Uh, guys, we have bigger things to worry about right now.” He said. Luhan and Xiumin turned back to him. “Right.” Xiumin coughed as he walked over to the window. Luhan followed him. Chanyeol, Sehun and Kai were looking up already, their guns poised to shoot. “Wait! We come in peace!” Xiumin yelled out. “What the heck?” Luhan asked Xiumin quietly. Xiumin turned to him and hushed him. It was patronizing. “As your hyungs, we ask you to let us safely come down to the forest floor before you shoot at us. Do you agree?” Xiumin yelled out again. “How can we trust you?” Kai yelled in response. Xiumin scoffed. “You can trust us! We are trusting you already- if you betray us, we will remember.” Xiumin warned. The three boys talked to each other but Luhan and Xiumin were too far away to hear them.  

“Alright. We agree.” Chanyeol yelled finally. Xiumin nodded before smiling. He grabbed Luhan and Baekhyun. “Get as much ammo into your guns before coming down. It’ll be a total mess.” Xiumin ordered. “What about us?” Suho asked. “You guys are out already- you can stay there.” Luhan said. “Rude.” Suho said in a hurt voice. Xiumin was already by the ladder and was beginning to climb down. “Minseok, you sure we can trust them?” Luhan asked the boy. Xiumin nodded simply before continuing downwards. That was enough for Luhan and he followed behind quickly.

When they reached the ground, the two teams glanced at each other. “Are Suho hyung and Kris hyung out?” Sehun asked. Baekhyun nodded in reply. A silence filled the forest as they gazed at each other wearily, their guns ready and loaded but not shooting. “So, uh, when should we start?” Chanyeol finally broke the silence. “Now!” They heard the scary response from behind them and whirled around to see D.O. , Tao and Chen appearing from the bushes with their guns as they began to shoot. Xiumin just managed to dodge the first shot and rolled away. He quickly shot at Sehun, who had also been surprised by his team members’ sudden appearance and managed to get the boy in the arm. Sehun went down with a yelp.   

Xiumin quickly turned his focus to Chen who was pointing his gun straight at Xiumin. “.” Xiumin said just as Chen shot the gun. Xiumin quickly jumped away and made it just by one second. Chen turned his focus to Xiumin again but Xiumin was prepared this time and they both shot at the same time. This time, Xiumin was unable to dodge it and it him in the chest. It hit Chen right in his stomach. They both went down, groaning in pain. The hit was much more painful than what Xiumin had expected. He was never playing this game again.

He looked up to survey the game again. Tao and Kai had been shot and were watching the game, Tao clutching his leg while Kai had somehow gotten paint onto his face. D.O. was attacking with a lot of… enthusiasm and was shooting at Baekhyun repeatedly. Baekhyun just managed to dodge each of them, yelping loudly every time he got close to being hit. Chanyeol and Luhan were also doing something similar as they shot at each other, however, it wasn’t as violent or one-sided.  

Xiumin watched nervously as Baekhyun stumbled slightly into Chanyeol’s back. Chanyeol turned around and the sudden movement made Baekhyun fall to the floor. Or well, he was about to fall to the floor, before Chanyeol quickly grabbed him, preventing his fall. D.O., who after seeing Baekhyun stumble had quickly shot at the boy. But, when Chanyeol had caught Baekhyun, he had effectively blocked Baekhyun with his own body and ended up being the one to get hit. The shot hit the boy straight on the back and he fell from the impact, taking Baekhyun down with him. “Does that count?” Chanyeol asked frantically. “Yup!” Tao said gleefully before he realized it was his own teammate and being hit by Sehun and Kai from both sides.   

“Does that mean I’m out as well?” Baekhyun asked pointing at the paint that had splattered from Chanyeol onto him. “Yeah.” Chen decided. Baekhyun sighed in frustration. “What the did you do that for, Yeol?” He asked the tall giant, smacking the boy. Chanyeol flushed but didn’t say anything. A yell from D.O. brought Xiumin’s attention back to the game. Luhan and D.O. both had their guns pointed at each other and were circling around, fierce looks in their eyes. D.O. shot first. Luhan quickly shot back and they were both hit in the chest, falling to the floor.

“Wait! They’re both shot! Who won?” Tao asked frantically. “Shouldn’t it be D.O. since he died after Luhan?” Sehun speculated. Baekhyun shook his head. “But they still both died!” He protested.  

A full scale argument began where everyone argued over who had won in the end, honorifics and ‘hyungs’ dropped completely. They were suddenly brought to silence when a cheery carefree accented voice was heard. Everyone turned to see Lay, completely clean and fresh, giving a sleepy smile. “Hey guys! I need the toilet. Do you know where it is?” He asked, completely oblivious to everything. “Oh my god.” Luhan said. “I forgot about him! We all forgot!” Sehun groaned suddenly, smacking his forehead. Xiumin was shocked. Of course, Lay. Where had Lay been during the entire war? Oh god! Luhan and Xiumin and Baekhyun glanced at each other and suddenly they were all laughing, falling to the floor and collapsing into giggles at the silly Chinese boy.  

Luhan turned to Xiumin and smiled, a bright and happy smile. “Minseok! We won!” The boy cheered before laughing again. Yes, yes we did, Xiumin thought as he laughed along. p>
