Right when she walked into his room, Jaemi’s eyes couldn’t help but wander around. L.Joe’s room was almost twice as large as hers.

“Are you done looking around,” L.Joe called.

Embarrassed, she quickly walked over to his desk.

“Do you know what we’re suppose to do?”

“Uh… Jieun told me the presentation only needs a movie poster and a quick synopsis or narration. So, a slideshow or two on what it’s about.”

“Okay, there’s the laptop. Go create the presentation first,” L.Joe slurred as he jumped on his bed to lie down.

Jaemi rolled her eyes and began working on the presentation.

15 minutes later

“Are you done yet?”

“Seriously? You’re just lying there doing nothing, and you’re asking if I’m done? Can’t you help me?” Jaemi nagged.

“Alright, let’s see what you got,” L.Joe drawled as he got up from his bed.

“A love between a young boy and girl who always thought they would end up getting married ended in a tragic event. The two became strangers until fate brought them back together. Will they be able to get back together? Or is the event to tragic to fix their love?” L.Joe read, “You’re kidding me right?”

“What?” Jaemi asked confused, “What’s wrong with it?”

“You had 15 minutes, and you wrote that crappy narration?”

Jaemi let out a scoff, “You think you can do better?”

L.Joe let out a laugh, “Listen,” he said turning away from her, “The connection between two friends became extremely powerful over a course of time and love. Their prevailing love was so strong that nothing could have pulled them apart... but themselves. The time between the two lovers became so indifferent that they separated and never spoke to one another again. Years passed and fate brought the two back together to meet for the first time as strangers. Will they be able to recognize each other? Will the love between the two former lovers bloom again? Will they be able to fix their differences and get back together? Or, will everything end in a blink of an eye."

Jaemi looked at him in awe.

“Good enough?” he said nonchalantly as he turned back to face her, “What? Did you fall for my words?” he smirked.

Jaemi rolled her eyes. There he goes again. She thought.

“Let me write all of that down.”

“You know, for a girl who doesn’t speak Korean that well, your grammar seems almost perfect.”

Surprised by his sudden comment, Jaemi didn’t dare say anything back.

“Are you done typing?”

“Yeah, I’m writing the last sentence,” Jaemi answered.

“Okay, hurry up and start on the poster,” L.Joe rushed, “Jieun sent you the pictures to use right?”

“Yeah, she just sent it to me.”

“Alright, let me know when you’re done,” L.Joe mumbled as he laid back in bed.

L.Joe woke up from his nap and looked at the clock. 4:23 PM. He fell asleep for almost three and a half hours. He slowly got up from his bed to see Jaemi knocked out on his desk. He walked over to see what she finished and realized she was almost done with the poster. Not wanting to wake her up, L.Joe carried her over to his bed and covered her with a blanket. He looked at her for a second and walked back to his desk to finish the poster.

After 45 minutes of editing and touching up, L.Joe finally finished the poster for their short film. He looked at the time. 5:11 PM. He turned around to check up on Jaemi who was still sound asleep on his bed. Without realizing, he let out a small smile and turned back towards the screen to look at the poster once more. With the poster having a picture of L.Joe and Jaemi, he couldn’t help but stare at Jaemi’s face who was smiling.

Surprised by his own mind, he quickly close the laptop and turned his chair around. He looked up at Jaemi again and noticed that her hand was hanging out of the blanket. Worried about keeping her hand warm, he slowly walked over to the bed. On his way, he accidentally tripped over his own foot and ended up being face to face with Jaemi.

Due to the sudden shake, Jaemi slowly opened her eyes to see L.Joe’s face right in front of her’s.

Sorry I haven't been updating as much! I have been extremely busy with school, so I hope you can understand! I will try to update as often as I can. I also want to apologize for this short chapter! I literally wrote this just now, but don't worry, after this film project is over, everything will be a little more interesting!
