Chapter 25

“So what’s your plan Joohyun?” Tiffany asked as they were helping Seohyun tidy up the apartment.

Yonghwa already left without much of a note when she got discharged from the hospital. The next morning after she woke up at the hospital, she was wheeled in the ultrasound room flanked by Jess and Tiff. She still can’t believe that she’s pregnant. How could she not know? With the 2 older kids she knew immediately or where there signs that she might have missed because of everything that’s been going around her. She cried when the black screen showed a peanut shaped image. She saw how the heart was beating, perhaps fighting to survive on the ordeal that it’s mother is going through. Jess and Tiff cried with her they are happy but feels really sorry to the mother and child. Their friend got divorced and was left with 2 kids to support now she got knocked up and the father is about to marry another woman leaving her a third child to care for on her own.

“I still don’t know. The family has no clue of what’s happening with me. I’m planning to finish my masters in the next 2 months do everything to gain extra credits. I’ll just find a way for the family to not come here this Christmas.”

“What? You’re planning to spend Christmas alone?” Tiffany raising an eyebrow

“No, I’m coming home for the holidays then come back and finish everything. I’ll request for a special project or something to fasten up the curriculum. I just need the diploma which they can send once available”

“Are you really going to keep this from Yonghwa?” Jess asked

Joohyun sigh, she already made the decision “Yes, as much as it’s important for him to know that he’s going to be a father, I don’t want to bother him anymore, we’re over, I don’t want him to think that I’m using the child to get him back”

“Will you be okay here alone within the next few months?” Tiff asked while rubbing her shoulders

“Of course! I just have to change a bit of my clothing I might show within the next couple of months. Try to avoid bumping into anyone who knows me and Yonghwa. I’m planning to tell the family by Christmas. I don’t know what they’ll think.. Wow Joohyun got a masters degree! And another fatherless baby! Whoopee!!” She said in a sarcastic tone but smiling

“Hand in your certificate and baby at the same time to your granddad! Might avoid a missile launch directed to where your bastard of an ex is” Jess laughed

“come on Jess,lets not talk about him. When are you guys leaving?”

“We took care of you and you are now asking us to leave”

“Don’t be melodramatic Tiffany, you got 2 kids waiting for you at home! and Jess how are you going to have a baby if you keep going out?” Seohyun pointed to her friends

“Hey! No stabbing at my life!” Jess answered

“We’re leaving Tuesday, we were supposed to only stay for a week but then you happened” tiff pointed at Seohyun

“Let’s go out for dinner! Atleast we can go somewhere during our stay here call the other girls let’s just have fun okay? Happy mommy means happy baby!” suggested Jessica

Seohyun was thankful for her friends. They called in Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, Yuri and Sunny. She also misses Taeyeon so much as they have become so close given that they were well she was, Taeyeon is still is, a girlfriend of one of the boys. She asked Taeyeon to invite Yoona as well to thank her for visiting and  for her help.

Thankfully Seohyun, even with her left foot still in cast and needs crutches to walk, can now move around easily. The girls met up at Joohyuns apartment and headed to a cozy restaurant for dinner where Sunny knows the owner and instantly made a late night reservation. The waiter opened the door for them and they walked in loudly laughing and talking all at the same time good thing it was almost closing and there were only a couple of people inside, when the first two girls Yuri and Yoona stopped walking making the other bumped to them

“ Yah! Move it!” Sunny shouted from behind Yoona to which the girl looked at Sunny and signaled to looked at the right corner of the restaurant. ‘damn’ Sunny inhaled and tapped Sooyoung numerous times ,who was walking backwards while having her gabfest with Jess and the rest

“What?!” she looked at Sunny to which it was Sunny’s turn to signal to Sooyung. Think fast Sooyoung. She signaled the first two walked to their table and block the view of the incoming people of that specific corner. Taeyeon and Hyoyeon clueless as to why the other four won’t sit down

“Yah! Why don’t you sit down! We got her okay!” Taeyeon laughed looking at the weird face the other 4 are now showing.

“OMG it’s so pretty in here!” Tiffany looked around while her hand is holding Joohyuns other arm.

“Guys sit down will you? You look like you’ve seen a ghost!” Joohyun laughed along with Hyo and the rest. They know they can’t stand forever and they have to sit sooner or later so as the four sat the others looked at them while also trying to take their seat when the rest except for Jess and Tiff turned silent.

Yonghwa and Shinhye looking back at them from the corner. Joohyun held her crutches tighter.

“it’s them” Taeyeon whispered at Jess and Tiff. Both took a deep breath and pop their knuckles.

“Guys let’s just have dinner at home” Seohyun smiled while the rest immediately stood to their feet all ready to leave.

“Hyo and I will get the car” Taeyeon spoke and both headed out. Sunny went to talk to the owner to cancel their reservation while Sooyoung, Yuri and Yoona, was already assisting Joohyun so she can walk faster she gave her crutches to Yoona and put her hand on her stomach instead ‘Hold on tight sweetpea’ she prayed silently

“Oh unnie! Leaving already?” Shinhye stood up and walked to the crowd. She knows she got the upper hand they are in a public place after all and as usual she knows that reporters are lurking around.

“Shinhye please” Yonghwa spoke from behind

“What happened to you? Bad fall? Next time fall for the right people so it won’t hurt that much” SHinhye continued speaking. Seohyun never turned around and continued walking assisted by Yoona while Yuri and Sooyoung stood beside Jess and Tiff

“Girls let's just go” Joohyun whispered still without looking back

“NO! What Yonghwa that's all you can say Shinye please?? Please what? huh Yonghwa? Please what?! For God sake please what?! Well I'll tell you!" Jess now shaking in anger at the sight of the two while Shinhyes eyes were ranging in anger and Yonghwa just stood there

"You're a coward and will forever be a coward! You can't stand on your own, you can't fight for people worth fighting for! You don't know risk and you don't know trust! You are one coward man Yonghwa!" 

"And who are you to call Yonghwa oppa a coward?! You people are just bitter because Oppa chose me over her!" Shinhye pointed at Joohyun

“Excuse me, can you please pull the blinds down” Jess asked looking at Sunny then at the owner to which he nodded to the waiters

“Why did you do that?” Shinhye looked at the owner.

Jess strode to her in 3 steps and a loud smack can be heard within the silent walls. Joohyun can hear loud gasp from the people looking and a number of feet scrambling perhaps the waiters to go to the kitchen and hide
