Chapter 15

They have been living in bliss.. Well most of the time, a few small arguments here and there but nothing that can’t be solved overnight. Yonghwa was very busy with their album and that gives him little window to spend some quality time with Joohyun. Joohyun on the other hand would like to keep herself busy to avoid idle time and wait for Yong to come home. She had numerous pep talks with herself about her situation and a few advices from her friends. She is not one to complain since she agreed to this and was never in the dark of his situation.

“Why can’t we just choose our partner for the study? I mean we are not regular college students, in fact we should do thesis alone right?” Sunny was fuming while waving her hands in the air after she was partnered with Kwangsoo, also a grad student, son of one of the school directors.

“Hey it’s not that bad, I was partenered with Ms. Do-it-yourself-and-I’ll-just-pay-you! Now It feels like I’m doing it alone! She barely comes to class” Sooyoung retorted

“I guess Joohyun and I are the only lucky ones! Sungmin is a really nice kid, intelligent and have good manners while Joohyun, your partnered with Jude right?” Yuri looking at the silent Joohyun who was just staring at her phone

“Hey earth to Joohyun!” Sunny snapped her fingers

“Yes!! What?” Joohyun looked up all alert

“I said you were partnered with Jude, you are lucky he seems to be a responsible type, being the son of a diplomat”

“And cute too! those round hazel brown eyes! I so adore Spanish looking men! He looks so much like William Levy!!!!” to which sunny added looking far 

"I heard he was a swimmer before?" Yuri looked at Sunny

"Ah broad shoulders looking soooo fine!" Sooyoung poked at Joohyuns shoulder

“Ah yes, I guess I am. he does look okay but nothing out of the ordinay. We talk sometimes but haven't really sat down. We’ll be meeting tomorrow after school for the topic of our study so I can’t play with you guys and I’m feeling really tired lately” she answered pursing her lips

“I hope your relationship with Yongwa is not taking a toll on you, I suggest you stay away from entertainments sites and news portals, you know very well that rumors are just rumors but fans have a way of making it all so real so relax okay.?” Sooyoung looked at her sincerely

“I know thanks, we don’t really have a problem but it’s hard to live under one roof but almost not see each other at all. It gets lonely at times”

“We know but hey, you can always call us and I bet 100% that he loves you just the same it’s just his job so I guess you just have to get use to it. “

Joohyun forced a smile in response

“Hi Seohyun, I’m sorry I’m late, I had to drop by Professor Kims’ office to get my module” Jude said as he sat beside her on one of the school bench

“Module? Do we need that?”

“No, I need this since I’ll be substituting for Prof. Kim next week, he will be away, I’ll be taking over his class” Jude looked at her while giving her the module to see.

She looked at the module and laughed at him “Wow flashback 101! These are pretty heavy stuff. Just make sure you teach them, don’t let them stare at you or something”

“Yah! What do you think of me? I will do this seriously I need the extra points to increase my GPA, I’m actually am requesting to be exempted for the exams, I have to attend to a number of galas for my father” Jude sigh

“Well goodluck, let’s start to work so we can finish this paper in no time”

The two then heads to the library and worked diligently putting both their brains two work. Jude is very serious when it comes to studying and is 2 years younger than Joohyun. Since his father is a diplomat, much is expected of him and he aims to deliver. The two had gotten their ideas together and had already started writing the paper itself when they noticed the time

“Hey Seohyun it’s past 10 PM the library will close in 30 minutes, I think we have to go” Jude said while looking around the almost empty library

“Oh shoot, didn’t notice the time as well, sorry let’s go” Joohyun started gathering their things

When they stepped out

“I’ll walk you to your car” Jude offered

“No it’s okay I didn’t bring one with me, I had it checked at the casa yesterday so I just commuted my way to school this morning”

“Okay, well I can just drive you home your place is close to mine”

“No thank you really I can just take the bus or cab I’ll be okay”

“Really? I won’t bite beside we both haven’t had dinner, lets grab something to eat then we can discuss our paper further over dinner.”

She thought for a minute when she heard her stomach growl to which Jude heard too and laughed

“Don’t be such a wimp let’s go!” and dragged her to his car

The two hit it off right away being that Jude is also from the US. They talked about places and many things and it just feels so good to talk to someone familiar of what she is saying. They laughed a lot during dinner and had promised to eat out again to celebrate once their paper is finish. She was happy to find a dependable friend in Jude. He drove her home and she thanked him for dinner. She entered their dark house thinking that Yong is still not home. She looked at her watch and saw that it was past 12 in the morning. She stretch a bit before discarding her things on the sofa when

Joohyun screamed in surprised since it was dark and can only see his silhouette standing by the window

“Hon you scared me! Don’t do that!” she rubbed her chest to calm herself

“I asked you who that was?!” His voice is sterner and a bit loud

“Cool down, he’s just my classmate, we worked on our paper and then grabbed dinner since it was late” she replied looking at him with a puzzled look
