The night of marriage announcement.

Pentagon Club, Seoul.

Luhan slammed his fourth glass on the marble table, producing a colliding sound with the sleek glass. The hour before stepping on the club he last visited years ago,  he was contemplating whether to stay rot inside the royal cage of his or having the night to devour. Now that he just realized how ed-up his life has been, he needed a halt on thinking for awhile. Let be the hangover in morning, he just wanted to loosen up for tonight.

“Heyo man! Long time no see!”

The usual shrieking voice of Chen came inside his senses and he nodded in recognition. Luhan could somehow blurly saw that the other guys of exo-m were here.

“We barely hear from you, man. I thought you completely lost your mind to leave this life.” Tao smirked when Luhan took his next shot down to my throat. He could feel heat was building up inside his body and how his head seemed airy and free. It would be so damn nice to feel this everyday.

“Han, are you okay? You looked pretty bad.” Minseok asked in concern. He could sense that he had something he had to avoid now that he’s running back to club. Luhan was welcomed to come by the regular visitor club whom was exo-m, but he had never shown up no matter how hard they tried to persuade him. Until tonight he’s the one who begging. Well, he knew that club wasn’t a good place. But by hearing how he pleaded an hours ago, Minseok just had to halt his study to visit his good friend for awhile.

“What are you talkin about, ge? He’s in the top of the world.” Chen grinned happily, welcoming the long lost brother back. It felt complete now that he’s around.

Luhan seemed to already lost a bit of his conscience that Lay and Kris were carrying him to the VIP lounge which reserved for the boys. That Chen’s cousin was the owner of the club made things way easier for them to enjoy the night without any interruption.

Chen and Tao forced everyone to take alcohol as their beverage for the night. Minseok and Lay who had low tolerances on alcohol and wasn’t a big fan of it even had to take sips too. Well, they even had no say in the matter.

“Heyo guys! Should we find some fun down there?!” Chen lowly chuckled, put his shot back to the table. Kris and Tao stood up to join. Chen was going to take Luhan with him, but seeing how damn good he was with alcohol, Chen just whisked him off the list and off a good fun with his two friends.

Minseok quickly put his shot back to the table. Truth to be told, he hasn’t even let the liquid touch his throat. With the dim lights and the help of alcohol, he was able to avoid the ranting of his petty dongsaengs about his dodging of consuming the mighty beverage.

“Ge, I had to take this. It’s Lihua.” Lay said to Minseok’s ear, pointing at his vibrating phone. It was displaying Lay’s girlfriend name. Minseok nodded before he took steps away from the noisy hall.

“Luhan. Hey, are you okay?” Minseok had to be pretty loud to be heard by a drunk person, unsupported by the loud music and deafening bass. “Luhan!”

“I am off to marry someone.” Luhan unconciously muttered, rubbing his face in sadness and mourn. Even with such situation, he could easily spot sadness and pain written all over him. Minseok frowned at his best friend’s nonesense. Was he telling lies? “I am going to marry a woman. Someone that wasn’t my destined one.”

“What are you talking about?” Minseok asked in confusion, feeling the knot on his head was tightening.

“She’s not her. Anyone would never be her.” Luhan muttered, running slender finger’s on the sleek glass. His eyes which now covered in unreachable desolation and agony never left the shining  liquid .

Minseok’s lips were sealed, staring at the vulnerable man who finally let the alcohol down his throat, smashing it on the table and shrunk bank to the sofa. Even under the bad lightining, he could definitely spot a tear or two rolling down his milky white cheek.  Now that he knew half of what was going on, he had nothing to do. He had nothing to say to less his pain. He had nothing to do to bring him up.

In situation like that, all he could do was being useless.

 Luhan’s P.O.V

I flipped the smooth fabric of tie, tightening until it fitted my collar. I looked at my reflection once again, let out an experation sigh. I could feel my head was still heavy at the hangover I got last night. The black bags under my eyes were clearly visible even to the unobserving eyes.

“Hey, you ready?”

I turned my face to Minseok who was now standing beside the door. I shifted back to my position before sinking back to bed. I was damn tired mentally and physically. I just wanted to skip the day, or maybe skip forever. I closed my eyes to restrain the pain that started to invade my sense once again.

“Luhan. Are you okay?” Minseok walked the distance, resting his weight on the spot next to mine. I shook my head sideways, not bothered to say no. I was tired pretending that everything’s okay. I reached a point where I was tired even to open my eyes.

“I know what happen.” Minseok murmured. I could palpably hear what he was saying. “I am sorry if it’s supposed to be a secret. I know it must be to deal what you’re dealing. I know that I couldn’t say I understand, cause I really don’t. But believe me, somehow at some points, good thing will come. You just have to be patient for that time to come.” Minseok reassured while patting his friend’s back.

I felt a little bit of burden were lifted off my houlder. Talking to the older man always made him feel comforted. “Thank you so much. I don’t know what would happen if you’re not here.” I finally could put a sincere smile instead of pained or lopsided one. Minseok had been a great help with providing a place to stay, and a decent clothes to change into. He replied with the same amount of smile.He was glad and happy now that I finally managed a smile.
