Monday morning, Seohyun was lying at her bed as she was singing together with the songs she was listening. She finally got bored, staying only at their house for already a week now doing nothing. She was hella bored, she didn’t know what to do. And it also looks like the trio has something to do with their own since every time she’ll ask them to hang out, they’ll refuse saying they had something else to do.

“Without you, I feel broke like I’m half of a whole. Without you, I’ve got no hand to hold. Without you I feel torn like a sail in a stooooorm~ Without youuuu~ I’m just a sad song~ I’m just a sad songgggggg~” She sang at the top of her lungs as she stood up and grabbed her hairbrush, pretending to use it as her microphone. She was listening to the song, ‘Sad Song’ by ‘We the Kings feat. Elena Coats’.

Then she jumped off from her bed and faced her mirror before singing the second stanza, the girl’s part. “With you, I fall. It’s like I’m leaving all my past in silhouettes up on the wall. With you I’m a beautiful mess. It’s like we’re standing hand in hand with all our fears up on the edge. So stop time right here in the moonlight, cause I don’t ever wanna close my eyes.”

But before she could even sing the chorus part, she noticed that the color of her hairbrush was color pink. Now she remembered her encounter with Luhan’s mother who loves pink way tooooo much. But she came to love the older woman, as she developed adoration to her.

*Flashback*

“You really resembled Yuri a lot!” She heard her saying as she was shocked that the woman knew her her mother’s name. She glanced at Luhan who shot a weird stare at his mother then to the old men sitting at the table staring at them over her shoulder. She also noticed Jongin’s presence.

“Mom, that’s too tight. She could have died.” Luhan stated breaking the hug, pulling Seohyun to his side. His mother flashed a pout at him but softened when she shifted her gaze to Seohyun. “Hello Seohyun-ah! I’m so glad to finally meet you again. I can’t believe this day would come.” She spoke as she held Seohyun’s hand and guided her to an empty seat leaving her son standing alone. Seohyun noted the word again coming from the older woman’s lips. Did she meet her already? She was asking mentally when she realized she wasn’t even giving respect to Luhan’s father.

Seohyun bowed at Nichkhun as the older man flashed a handsome grin waving his hand off. Then she glanced at her father who was sitting beside her brother. Kyuhyun nodded at her and gave off a smile. Tiffany chose to sit beside her while Luhan settled beside Jongin but bowed first to greet Kyuhyun.

“I really can’t believe it. You got those chubby cheeks of yours from your Mom. Luckily you didn’t get her tan skin, but Jongin inherited it though?” Tiffany chuckled seeing Seohyun blushed a bit. She cupped the younger girl’s face and looked at her, teary-eyed. “Seeing you make me remember Yuri.” Seohyun was stunned when a single tear escaped from Luhan’s mother as she glanced to stare at Nichkhun who was wearing a sad smile and to his father who was shaking his head, preventing himself to get teary-eyed as well. Seohyun knew that every time his father remembered her mother, he still became sad.

“I’m sorry.” Tiffany then added and hugged her again. “I just missed that girl so much.”

“H-how did you know Umma?” She asked hesitantly as Tiffany immediately broke the hug. She shot a glare to Kyuhyun who immediately looked down. “You didn’t mention to her?” She asked, and Seohyun could feel the older woman’s bitterness. Luhan was just quiet, watching them. He didn’t mind to interfere since he was out of the topic.

Tiffany sighed in defeat before facing Seohyun. “I was your mother’s best friend. And I can’t believe the guy who snatched her away from me didn’t even mention it to you.” She glared back at Kyuhyun.

“S-so you know her even before?” Seohyun couldn’t help but to ask. This was a total revelation, so in the end her mother and Luhan’s mother was also best of friends. Just wow. She also noticed that Luhan was stunned by the fact.

“Yeah. I know her first more than your father. I met her first. Then he came and took her attention away from me.” She whined like a kid and Seohyun let a soft giggle. “And I was so devastated when I found out about her….” Tiffany couldn’t continue her sentence as she this time shot a worried look to Kyuhyun. She knew she was being completely y for bringing up the past. She was not the only one who was devastated when Yuri died on a car accident. She knew Kyuhyun almost lost his mind, leaving him alone with their children.

“Death.” Seohyun was the one who continued her cut sentence. Tiffany flashed an apology look but Seohyun waved it off with a smile. “We’re not really uncomfortable talking about Umma’s death.” She explained as she glanced at her father then to Jongin, smiling at them with an ease look. She knew no one wanted it to happen; her mother was too young to die. And that time, Jongin was only an infant while she was only twelve years old. It happened eight painful years ago.

“Ugh.” She groaned, “Enough of this drama. Come on let’s just eat and help ourselves.” Everyone laughed as the heavy atmosphere was replaced with laughter.

Seohyun was mentally laughing when she noticed that Tiffany’s chopstick was also pink as she and Luhan gave an exchange look, preventing themselves from laughing loudly.

The dinner went well; as Tiffany started bringing up the past again, but it was not a sad past instead it was a revelation for both Seohyun and Luhan.

“Ha! You didn’t know that you already meet before? When you were just babies! Yuri and I will always bring you everywhere we go before. But the funny part was, it was honestly Nichkhun and Kyuhyun who were happy when the two of you arrived in their life. Do you remember their stupid vow? I couldn’t really forget their reaction after they found out that I was expecting a boy while Yuri was expecting a girl. Their being childish at that time and I hope you two saw their reactions.”

Seohyun and Luhan exchanged a look. “But then, when I started working at Paris, I rarely got back to Seoul. Nickhun decided that we should move to Paris as well. And when we got back eight years ago, I lost my connection with Yuri the reason why you didn’t meet again.” Tiffany explained further. And that was the year when Yuri died, Tiffany only found out about it after four months had passed. The reason why Seohyun didn’t see Tiffany at her mother’s funeral.

Nichkhun and Kyuhyun kept on laughing as Tiffany talked more about their funny pasts. Seohyun on the other hand was uncomfortable talking about those things. She never thought that she already met him even before, when they were only babies. Just the fate was really toying with them.

“And before I forgot, I want to ask if my baby boy is treating you nicely since you know? He has a very good attitude.” Seohyun couldn’t help but to let a loud chuckle when she heard the baby boy coming from Tiffany. Luhan glared at his mother, hating his nickname even more.

“Mom!” He yelled, annoyed. Tiffany just flashed her deathly wink as an answer to her son.

Seohyun cleared , “Well, he’s not that treating me bad, but not treating me good either.” She answered sincerely as Luhan also glared at her. “Excuse me?” He irritatingly asked.

“What? I have spoken the truth.” Seohyun innocently answered making Luhan to groan. “Whatever.”

After the dinner, Tiffany, Nichkhun and Kyuhyun decided to leave the youngster having their own moment. They went to the cellar to grab some wine that Nichkhun just bought and kept on bragging how it tastes good. And although Seohyun and Luhan were already in their twenty, the elders still didn’t let them to have an alcoholic drink.

“Are you really okay with it? Mom bringing up the past where your mother died?” Luhan asked curiously seeing a melancholy Seohyun, sitting on their gigantic couch while Jongin sleeping at her lap. She smiled as she tucked the short strands of Jongin’s hair behind his ear and stared at Luhan’s worried face. She nodded but then sighed, “I’m okay really. But now I was wondering about what if my mother was still alive. I really pity Jongin for growing up without a Mother.” She answered truthfully as she saw his eyes shifting to the boy who was peacefully sleeping.

“Yeah. Maybe it was hard for him although he didn’t say anything.” Luhan commented, feeling pity as well. “You really love and value Jongin a lot even though you always argue.” He added flashing a smile. Seohyun nodded, “Although this imp is always annoying, he’s still my brother and the only sibling I’ve got. He’s my precious little imp.”

“Me too.” Luhan quietly answered. Seohyun formed a confuse look, didn’t understand what he meant. “He’s also precious to me. As well as you.”

Seohyun blushed but pretended sh
