It had been a few days since Donghae and Siwon were going out. And honestly it was better than Donghae imagined. Siwon was the sweetest thing ever; he would be smiling all the time trying to get Donghae’s mind of the bad things around them.

They would study hours together to end up falling asleep on each other’s arms, they would sometimes sleep in the same bed when Donghae’s dream were unbearable, and Siwon would be the only thing that made Donghae normal and almost happy again. Actually things didn’t change that much between them, they spent as much time together and Siwon didn’t try to kiss him again since the other night, there were just more hugs and cuddling.

The brunet expected for the nagging and bullying of others to be worse now that they were closer than ever, but on the contrary people left them alone, maybe because they were tired to always prick on the same persons or maybe because Siwon was scary enough.

Donghae couldn’t help but want to rub on Eunhyuk’s face his love relationship to show him that he did move on. But he didn’t first because they hadn’t told about their official relationship to their friends yet and second because Eunhyuk would simply not care. He seemed to be more focused on other things. Indeed, Donghae hadn’t seen the girl he was dating for a while; instead there would always be a new girl by his side. Seeing him like this had proven to the brunet that, indeed, he just simply didn’t care about anything anymore, but Donghae never expected him to fall so low.

So finally one day Siwon and him, decided to come clean to their friends. They were all studying in the library when the couple arrived hand in hand.

They all looked at them surprised but they quickly understood, the situation was clear. Dongahe was expecting for Sungmin to say something or be angry or have any kind of reaction, but he just lowered his head. He knew that if Donghae gave up it would be even harder to get Eunhyuk back and it discouraged him.

Kyuhyun fixed their entangled hands with judging eyes but didn’t say anything. In fact no one said anything or made any comment. After claiming he had to go to the toilet Kyuhyun went away but Donghae followed him. They were walking toward the toilets in silence.

“Are you disappointed in me?” asked Donghae.

“A bit…”

Donghae thought so, he was thankful that at least his friend was honest with him.

“Want to talk about it?”

“It’s none of my business.”

Donghae stopped him and made him face him.

“Kyu, you’re the closest I have to a best friend, so of course your opinion matters to me.”

Kyuhyun sighed.

“You’re both going to be hurt.”

“So what? You want me to wait for Eunhyuk?”

“No…”

“For me to spend my life alone?”

“Of course not… I just don’t think it’s a good idea…”

“I know…” said Donghae sadly. “I agree with you, but it’s the only way I found to try moving on.”

“I’m sorry hyung, I should be more supportive.”

He pulled out his hand to shake his hyung’s.

“I’m happy for both of you, hyung.”

Donghae was touched, he could see how much his dongsaeng and friend was worried about him. So he impulsively hugged him. Kyuhyun was taken aback and didn’t hug him back, he just stood there froze.
“I’ll try making this work and I’ll try being someone you can be proud of.”

Kyuhyun smiled softly.

“You’re already the best hyung someone can ask for. It’s just that in your life you only had people who didn’t deserve you, and I was one of them. I treated you really badly…”

Donghae stepped away but kept a hand on his shoulder.

“Cho Kyuhyun, you are you. No need to be sorry about that, I’m happy to have you as my friend.”

“We’ve come a long way didn’t we?”

“Yup we definitely did.”

Kyuhyun smiled widened, but then he winced.

“Ok, too much bromance for me right now, I’m off!”

And then he went away almost running, leaving Donghae laughing. 

Later he was in his room reading a book when suddenly his phone started ringing.

“Yobousayo?”

“Hello pretty boy.”

That voice… He really should think about changing numbers or soon all the mafia of the city would start calling him.

“Heechul…”

“So I heard your attempt to save Eunhyuk failed? What a pity.”

“I wasn’t just trying to save Eunhyuk, I was trying to save you too.”

“Awwww, how sweet of you, sorry that didn’t worked out either.”

That sarcasm… did they all had to use it when they talked?

“What do you want?” said Donghae with a sighed.

“Remember you owe me kiddo.”

Right… the pact with the devil, he had almost forgotten about that.

“So you want to collect it now?”

“Not exactly… I have an offer that you might be interested in.”

The boy slowly pushed away the arm that was hugging him, and got up trying to not wake the other boy beside him. He got dressed, making as little noise as possible and sneaked out of the bedroom by the window and out of school. The good thing with Siwon’s room was that it was on the ground floor and facing the back exit of the school, the one that had less surveillance. So to get out the brunet only had to jump over the wall, easy enough. Already a few times that he had done this and for now the boy never got caught. He couldn’t help but wonder if that was what Eunhyuk did almost every night too…

Once he knew he was out of sigh, Donghae started running throw the alley until he saw the black SUV waiting for him, he got up on the passengers sit.

“I still think this is a bad idea.” said Hangeng.

“So why are you doing this?”
