Chapter 34
One in the box
“ Why I am not even surprised that you have got something for free again?” Junsu asked eating the strange looking bread.
Hyper just grinned and shrugged her shoulders. Joong sitting next to her hissed “ But you should at least pick up your phone, when there is somebody calling,”
“Miahne! I really didn’t hear a sound, and usually my ears are pretty good. You know, in my work is good to have sharp eyesight and good hearing, it’s useful!”
Max returned. He said he wanted to buy something and he didn’t even ate his meal first.
They were sitting on stones around a huge fountain and eating. Max kneeled in front of her and Hyper’s eyes widened in shock “ What are you doing?”
“I am really sorry, it’s my fault that we have been separated. I feel I have to apologize because of me, we left you behind. I am truly sorry,”
Hyper patted Changmin’s head “Nothing serious happened, you don’t need to apologize,”
Yunho silently chuckled and Jae punched his stomach. He was immersed with the strange feeling overflowing in his heart. Pride for being a hyung to this young man, satisfaction with himself, knowing that he thought him well and love. Love for his friend? Little almost unnoticeable pain shoot through his lungs and he started to rub his temple. What was it?
“ I bought you something,” Max opened his closed fist and revealed two blue earrings. They had a rectangle shape and something was written on them.
Hyper usually wore smaller earrings because her ears would hurt after having bigger ones for the longer time, but those one were light, made from something similar to paper.
“Thank you,” she whispered and hugged him.
Max was surprised with this sudden action but he hugged her back.
“No problem,”
“Tell me, what is written on them,” she proposed taking the ones she wore down and replacing them with the new ones.
“No, you will find yourself,”
Junsu walked to his dongsaeng and pulled his ear “ And you, have you bought something for us too?”
Max shook his head and his face was covered in red colour. He sat on another stone and started eating his soup.
That was the moment when Hyper decided. She turned around and took the bracelets she had bought from her pocket.
She had to think a little to choose the right one.
She choose the purple one. With smirk on her face she walked to the only person in DBSK who was the same age as her and gave him the bracelet.
“Wear it, ok?”
Other DBSK members looked at each other. Jaejoong’s eyes darkened.
Was he losing the status of the best friend?
“ Show me!” Junsu wanted to see the present maknae had got from Hyper.
Max rolled up his sleeve and revealed a small bracelet.
“Wow, it looks good, somehow I taught she had different taste,” Micky said and observed closely the conch.
“ I know, it’s beautiful, not something big and revealing, just a little bracelet,”
“are you that happy?” Jaejoong frowned.
“And hyung are you jealous?”
Jaejoong nodded. He wasn’t stupid, he knew that the little stingy feeling he had felt before was jealousy. But the big question that mattered to him was why the hell he was jealous.
Yunho was surprised by the fact that Jaejoong admitted his problem.
“But why? I mean…it’s not like I l..”
“I know, Max. But I am maybe jealous about you getting pretty close to her,” Jae thought out loud and became satisfied with his answer.
Unexpectedly Micky pinched Jae’s cheek and chuckled “ You are starting to be pretty possessive, no? And you say she Is just your friend,”
Snarling Jaejoong turned to Micky and stared at him “ And friends can not be possessive about each other?”
They were waiting for Hyper who had to change her clothes. She dirtied them in the market.
“Of course they are,” Hyper cried and placed her hand around Jaejoong’s waist who’s eyes suddenly brightened up.
“where we are going now?” Yunho asked waiting for Hyper’s answer.
“Guys is not that I am your commander. Where do you want?”
“To see those white goblins,” Junsu put his hand to a fist.
Hyper touched his chest and looked at the men that stood there with her “ You are not thinking about making some kind of fight? Right?”
Jaejoong moved a little bit “ Why not? They deserve it,”
Hyper shook her head “ Boys you can’t be serious about this, you can’t fight the whole clan, and by the way we don’t even know how much part in your situation was caused by them,”
“But, they deserve beating, because we lost so many things and that is their fault!” Max said.
“No! I said no! Don’t cause problem, don’t make ruckus, and when you see that they want to fight, run!”
“Why do I feel that you are worried about us?” Micky smiled at her.
“I am. Who wouldn’t be. You are men with testosterone which is making your sight blurry and that makes me anxious,”
Surprisingly the place where those white goblins usually gathered wasn’t that scary as you would think.
It was white building with six windows and the most striking thing was the name of the building.
“You can’t be serious!” Yunho cried.
The building was old library. From the windows you could see the shelf with lot of books.
“Well, the address says it’s here,” Max checked the paper again.
It matched.
Hyper was little nervous, if it was just her she wouldn’t be so uneasy but DBSK members were sometimes impulsive.
When they walked in, she decided to stand between Jaejoong and Micky. Although Micky didn’t look like it, he could be sometimes temperament.
White corridor welcomed them.
“This explains the name white,” Max said and touched the wall.
Hyper chuckled and seemed to ease up. This place didn’t look like the headquarters of some armoured gang.
At the end was a half -glass -half -wooden door.
Junsu raised his brow and clenched his jaw, as he was knocking on the door which suddenly opened.
“This is a real library?” Max asked and couldn’t believe his eyes.
Behind table with computer was sitting man in is 35s. He was looking like nerd, bug glasses on his sharp nose and black hair with lot of hair gel.
“May I help you?”
This was not the situation they expected. What to say? It looked like an ordinary older library, how they can ask about some clan or something.
“We would like to make little tour around here, if you don’t mind,” Yunho said confidently.
“But I can’t let you enter this library, if you don’t have membership here, sorry,” man threw them a suspicious look.
“We are just tourists and somebody recommended to us this library, that there is something, that would be interesting for us,” Max winked at the man and Hyper’s jaw dropped.
He was acting by himself, without persuading him too much.
“But, still I know what you mean but you can’t come, “ man said
.
Micky punched the desk with hand in fist “ F-ck this. Is this the place where we can’t find someone from White Goblins?”
Hyper kicked his leg but he didn’t flinched she looked at Jaejoong with gaze pleading for help.
When she saw his face, she knew that he wouldn’t be any help.
“Och, so that is what you want? Be straightforward please, come this way,” nerd said and pointed on direction they had to go.
Micky nodded and the group of people moved the way the man pointed.
They went to the one aisle and in the end was a door. Door was white as the wall so you wouldn’t notice it normally.
Jaejoong frowned and went to knock on the door, Hyper gripped his hand and shook her head.
No! He can’t go first! That would be disaster.
Jae unwillingly obeyed and made a space for Max, who looked the most in ease from them.
He knocked on the door and after few seconds, the door opened.
Behind the door was small man, yet muscular with white robe and tattoo on his right cheek.
“Strangers,” He said with deep voice and pulled Max in.
Another five people followed them only to find themselves in the room they never expected they would be.
