Kris Wu, Destroyer of Curtains

That Girl, Which Boy?

You woke up at 3AM, dry, tucked in bed and in your pajamas with an insane longing for a glass of water.

I guess someone changed me then last night...

You blushed as your mind raced through the possible people who could have been the ones to strip you down and dress you back up in the hideously unflattering menswear you called pajamas.

It's likely to have been Chanyeol but it could have been Baekhyun? After all he does the laundry and he knows exactly what my underwear looks like. Or it could be Lay since he's done it so many times before.

You made a quick mental note to stop getting yourself into avoidable situations where you would be so not with it and consequently would have to be changed out of your clothes by someone else- someone male. Fair enough the one occasion with a certain blonde bad boy ually attacking you was a once in a lifetime sort of experience (you hoped) but the ones like getting wet and falling asleep were really not on. Another thing you couldn't get your head around was how you never managed to wake up when you were being changed.

I suppose they must take a lot of care...

You cringed.

That's a really weird thought.

Hopping out of bed, you grabbed the nearest overlayer which happened to be a fluffy cardigan Huiling had left behind.

I'm sure she won't mind.

It felt liberating not having to worry about stepping on her as you walked out of your room without a care in the world. Once outside, you felt deeply comforted at the sight of the dorm. You hadn't really ever paid much attention to it all but you realised how personal everything was to you. A lot of the furniture had been newly bought when you moved in. The sofa in the old dorm you had first lived in was white and rather small. You could probably fit Kris and Chanyeol and maybe squeeze yourself in but no more. Now, the sofa was much longer and more spacious and was able to fit Kris, Chanyeol, yourself and probably two others with a bit of a squeeze. The couch pillows in the old dorm were a blue color but upon moving, Sehun asked for red as he said he wanted a color that could be feminine too. The curtains had been made by Lay using fabric he thought you would like and the general decor had been chosen with you in mind. The idea was to keep it basic whilst adding a small feminine touch as they believed it wasn't right for you to be living in such an obviously male environment. The boys had all felt that the last dorm was not quite suitable for a lady. You of course were completely oblivious to the hard efforts they had put in, being over in London at the point of moving.

Kai got to keep his desk as it had been bought out of his own pocket. The coat hangers inside the cupboard were also bought by Xiumin at a local street fair one morning so you had taken that. The furnishings in the individual rooms were all new however as school dormitory furniture was generally government funded and thus the removal of them was prohibited.

Kai and D.O's room was the most spacious of the boys, being the one with only D.O's desk as Kai's was out in the main dorm area. D.O's desk itself only had the bare minimum laid out on it- a few deodorant sprays, a photo of him and his grandparents from his childhood and a photo of his parents together. A photo of his mom alone was pasted onto the wall near his bed and he made sure to say good morning to her everyday, much like you made sure to say good morning to him. Xiumin and Luhan had the tidiest room and no one ever really entered their room. It was sort of unknown what lay behind their door. Besides, it had only been Xiumin living in there for quite some time. Chen had the hardest time of all with Tao's belongings taking up more than just his wardrobe. It was known that Tao's sports clothes alone took up his drawers and so his casual and formal clothing had spread to Chen's side too. Luckily for Chen, Tao told him he could borrow absolutely anything for being such a nice hyung. Unluckily for Chen, Tao liked wearing lots of deep V-necks and exposing his well defined chest which Chen did not. It just wasn't really the sort of thing Chen did.

'I can still get the ladies without flaunting my pecs all over the place like an ignorant peacock' he had said when you had first moved into the new dorm

Between those rooms was the bathroom and beside that was the utility room. It was really more of a narrow passageway with a window at the end and a washing machine but utility cupboard didn't have the same sort of effect as utility room. Having your own washing machine was pretty much unheard of but living in a large dorm as well as being under the care of the university's main owner had its perks. Those perks had led to their floor of their high school dormitory building being something of a legendary myth which people talked about in hushed whispers in the corridors.

The exo floor.

The exo boys.

A stupid nickname, the boys all thought

But it was still being used anyway, even now they were in university.

The only difference was that it was kept even more hushed and you only knew about the whispers from beady eyed and bat eared Baekhyun

The next room was Sehun and Suho's. Suho was the only person in the dorm to have filled their bookcase completely with books and study materials. Photo frames and trinkets littered yours, clothes were piled high in Tao's and Baekhyun and Chanyeol kept most of their socks neatly stacked in theirs. Sehun had a simple desk which he managed to fit all of his books on. He was also one of the few to have called on a bedside cabinet where he was able to put his clock, his lamp and his phone charger as well as a glass of water, some paracetamol, spare toothpaste, a pack of cards, a bunch of AA batteries and lots of other useless things he just really did not need.

Chanyeol and Baekhyun's room was next and was the room everyone avoided at all costs. At the beginning in the old dorm, before you had arrived, the only laptop in the dorm was kept in their room and it was no wonder really how every morning Kai would take it to his meetings and find it either completely drained of power or with derpy selcas set as the background. There would also be a few word documents saved under the name 'REAAAAAAD ME' and 'HIIIIIII' and 'GFSSFGHJKKBVYPIV GUESS WHO' and 'I AM A GHOST HERE TO HAUNT YOUUUUUUU' as well as a load of downloaded games. Needless to say, the laptop was kept on Kai's desk in the living room well away from the pair ever since.

The room beside yours was Kris and Lay's and it was the room you went in most often. The layout was completely symmetrical- bed beside the wall, desk at the foot of the bed and then a wardrobe against the wall with a short 1 metre high bookcase in front of the window. There was a mirror on the door of Kris' wardrobe and a few shirts hung off the door knobs of the separate compartments. Kris' history textbooks, folder, notes and extra reading was usually to be found sprawled out underneath the bed despite him having a desk. Lay's work was always neatly laid out on his desk but he tended to study outside on the large table with you and Suho. Studying to him was always a lot more fun with friends.

And then it came to your room- the only room in the dorm that wasn't shared. This meant that your room was by far the biggest but it was the plainest and lacked character. The plain white walls were a bore to look at so you had tried to stick up photos to liven it up a little. Your desk was piled high with pieces of paper and books and you had not once sat and studied at it. You weren't exactly the neatest person in the world to say the least. Your phone charger wire came out by your bedside so you used your phone as both an alarm clock and a communication device. The room was just basic, plainly put, but it was yours. You were safe in it and you were safe in the dorm and nothing would ever change that. It was home.

'You seem to be making a habit of waking up early' said D.O coming out from the kitchen corner.

His sudden appearance startled you but you relaxed upon seeing who it was.

'Evidently so are you'

He held up a mug, 'thirsty? Want some water?'

'Oooh yes please' you replied, 'thank you'

He came back with another cup of water and stood beside you as you both sipped carefully.

'So what's on your mind? Why are you out here looking all dazed and confused?' he asked

'Who... Changed me?'

'Who what? Changed you? Haneul, that's really deep...'

'Not like that! Oh, you know...'

D.O shrugged looking puzzled.

'Changed me?... Like... Out of my clothes?'

You gestured to his sweatpants you were currently wearing

'Because I definitely wasn't wearing this when I went out'

'Oh... Right'

D.O looked slightly embarrassed and you couldn't help but think about just how cute he looked at that point. Ears tinged pink, eyes wide with realisation.

'It was Lay. We sort of assigned him that job ever since you know...'

You nodded, 'Ah right... I thought it might be him... But hey, what do you think of Huiling?'

'Huiling? Well she's a nice girl. She always says thank you after a meal to me and she helps wash up occasionally-'

'Do you think Lay likes her?'

'Lay? W-Why do you ask? Is this what's on your mind?'

You could read D.O's crestfallen expression like a book.

'No, no! I don't mean it like that, oppa! It's not like I like Lay or anything at all!'

'You just wonder if he likes her?'

'Yeah...'

You felt slightly guilty for bringing up and asking about another guy with D.O. He looked like a dejected puppy.

'Haneul?'

'Yes?'

'I'm really glad we're still friends'

He paused and put his mug down.

'Because you know... When I confessed to you, I kept wondering if it would ruin our friendship. The entire day, I kept having to convince myself it was the right thing to do.... What I'm trying to say is... Even if you don't accept me... C-Can we still be friends?'

You looked at him with weary eyes. You looked so sad that D.O wanted to wrap his arms around you and never let go.

'Of course' you said quietly, 'why wouldn't we still be friends?'

'I... I don't know. What if we become awkward and you don't want to talk to me anymore?'

'That would never happen'

'I just want to keep you in my life. Even if you don't feel the same way as I do, I want to be around you. You help bring out the best in me'

'So! It's a Thursday today and it's sunny and I don't have any lectures!'

'Well aren't you lucky?' Said Kris holding his 3 folders, 'care to help me?'

'As if'

'Didn't think you would anyway because you're mean!'

Lay walked out of his room sleepily and tripped up over his feet falling flat on his face. That alone was enough to stop you and Kris bickering.

'Oh my God, are you alright?!' You asked as Chen crouched down and observed his face carefully

Lay held up his hand to sign he was okay and sat down at the table. It wasn't until he had drank a cup of coffee that he returned to his usual self.

'I really needed that boost'

'Evidently. You fell on your face, hyung' said Kai

'Are you sure you're alright?' Luhan asked worriedly, looking into Lay's eyes the same way a psychotherapist would to an insane person.

Lay nodded, 'I'm fine. In fact, I'm super happy because I don't have lectures either'

'So what are you two going to do?' said Chanyeol, 'since you have a whole day off?'

'I'll probably go for a swim. Jaemin-oppa will start nagging if I don't turn up enough' you replied

'I might go for a walk' Lay said

'Of course. A walk...'So nothing actually fun or worthwhile' Baekhyun remarked with a smirk

'You could go on a walk to the park? That might be fun?' Chanyeol suggested, 'the park Haneul went to yesterday is quite nice in the summer'

'Speaking of that!' Kris said standing up, 'what happened eh? What was going on? Why did you go meet Jinri?'

'Oh private stuff, Kris. You don't need to know' you replied quickly

'Please Haneul, you can tell me'

'No I can't. It's a secret'

Kris tutted loudly. 'Tsk, girls and their secrets'

'I'm serious, Kris. Why do you want to know anyway?'

'I'm nosy. If not I'll get Baekhyun to find out'

You glared at Baekhyun who in turn quickly said 'leave me out of this hyung.' You stood up to put your plate in the sink and Kris followed you. Everyone watched as he circled around you until you stood on his foot feeling rather irritated.

'Okay how about if I catch you, you have to tell me?' Kris asked

'No!'

You weren't up for playing games. Today was supposed to be a day off for you.

'Too late.' Kris lunged forwards to grab you and you shrieked, madly dashing off towards the dining table where the rest of the boys were sat, some wide-eyed staring, the others not giving two s.

'Oppa!' You screeched as you took refuge behind Kai's chair

He looked around but you were already gone, now standing behind Chanyeol's seat.

'Eomma!' You screamed again as Kris came running after you, sliding expertly on the laminate flooring

You jumped onto the sofa and ran along it playing stepping stones with the chairs that were dotted around the room.

'Kris, stop... My stomach hurts... I have a stitch...' you panted, clutching your tummy region

Kris just laughed, way too hyper for the morning and lept forward. You jumped off the sofa out of the way, landing on your feet and running in the direction of Luhan.

'Luhan! Do something!'

'I kind of want to know what Jinri-ssi told you too though...' He said quietly

You groaned and began running towards your room but Kris beat you to it. You screamed again and this time everyone in the room laughed at the rather hilarious and childish scene in front of them.

'Kriiiiiis!' You whined, 'really, I'm going to vomit up my breakfast if you keep making me exercise like this and I'll make sure I vomit on you!'

You ran towards the balcony with the intention of trapping him outside somehow but upon seeing him slyly sliding across the room, you panicked and began running the other way. Kris stopped the sliding motion to begin running again but his foot caught in the foot of the curtain. He fell face down pulling the curtain rail off its hooks and ripping the curtain itself as he tried to get himself out. Everyone fell about laughing and even you couldn't help but giggle as you caught your breath. Grabbing one of the red sofa pillows, you whacked him on the head with it as he was under the sheets of material.

'Serves you right you clumsy, nosy giant'

Lay stared at the curtains utterly horrified. His hard work had just been ruined by Kris.

'Someone kinda needs to fix that...' Said Chen slowly, 'otherwise people will be able to see into our dorm'

'And we really don't want that' said Baekhyun, 'still got the whole exo nickname you know'

'Lay and Haneul can fix the curtains' Luhan said with a smile, 'They've got a free day and they're the ones who have the abilities to make them anyway'

You looked at Lay and he looked at you.

'Shall we?' He said.

It wasn't really a question.
