( you ’s POV )

                            What A nice day, the sun smiles at me when I woke up. But I remembered what happen last night. Argh! I don’t want to think about it

anymore, it’ll ruin my day. There’s a bright day waiting for me. I decided to go to the garden before Lia serve my breakfast. I go to the closet to pick

some dress for me to wear.

“Woah, I didn’t realize that there were so many dress out here.”

Lia was the one who always pick my dress so I haven’t really open this closet. So many dress and gowns. Each one has its different designs,

crystals, diamonds and ribbons. I just chose a simple yellow dress and a pair of doll shoes.

“I wish mom will see me wearing this dress.” I sighed.

                              I miss my mom so much and jiyeon of course, three weeks had passed but its like one year. I wish I could go back right now. I walk

for a while, along the path of grass and stones. I was amazed with the view. I love gardens and flowers, my mom used to plant some roses for me. And

when the day that the rose blooms I’ll get it and arrange it in a bouquet. There were many flowers. There’s a big fountain at the center of the garden

maze, and bench at the side. Then a bunch of pink rose caught my attention. I was so excited to pick one when someone approach me.

“Miss! Miss! Please, Don’t touch it.” I was startled.

An old man comes running for me. He was wearing a gardener suit and a gloves. He stops and puts his hands on his knees.

“Young lady. It’s Yoseob’s roses.” He said.

“Oh, I’m very sorry.” I was sad and decided to go back when he called me.

“Young lady, Maybe you could pick one.”

“Really?”

I picked the biggest rose I saw.

“Thank you very much, Sir?”

“You’re good in picking flowers. By the way, I’m the gardener, Young master Yoseob loves plants, every season he always bought some

plants for the garden. ” He said.

So Yoseob loves plants?

“I’m Suzy.”

“So you’re the one that Yoseob always tells me.”

“Huh??...

“Nothing. Young Lady. You must be preparing now for the masquerade ball later. I’ll see you next time.”

After he said goodbye, I was left confused. What masquerade ball? I went back to my room and put the rose at the vase.

I saw that my breakfast were already there. There’s a note from Lia saying that there’ll be masquerade ball later because it’s the duke’s birthday

and all the candidates will be introduce later.

That night:

“I’ve brought your gown.” Lia said.

Setting the box on the table and undoing the bow. The dress is taller than she is, and it drags luxuriously along the floor as she holds

it up. It glitters with diamonds and laces.

“Try it on.”

I step in the gown. Her hand make such perfect bows and the gown is remarkable fit.

“Suzy, sent this package for you to wear tonight.. ” Lia said.

“Really?”

Lia opens the make up drawer and begins, holding my face to inspect me. After that she starts on my hair, brushing and weaving it around curlers.

And the last, she opened a box with a beautiful mask inside. The mask has diamonds on the right side and a feather at the left side.

During the ball, The Duke introduce all the candidates. I was kind of nervous at first, but it goes well coz I’m the first one who the duke introduced.

There were so many visitors, I bet they were all came from a noble families. I went at the corner to removed my mask.

“So hot in here.”

“Hi, there.” I turned and saw a man wearing a black mask.

“Guess Who?” He said.

He removed his mask and saw that it was Yoseob. Woah, he’s very different. He’s wearing a suit and it suits him.

“You look very pretty.” Yoseob said.

“T-thanks”

“Who is she?”

man beside him asked. Before Yoseob say something. The man grabbed my hand and gently kissed my hand. I was shocked and Yoseob too.

Omo~ I’m blushing.

“Hey, what are you doing” Yoseob shouted.

The man removed his mask revealing a very handsome face

“I’m Gikwang.” He smiled.

“Hey, are you crazy?” Yoseob asked.

“Why? Were you jealous? Don’t worry, I knew she’s one of the chosen. I was just greeting her, right?” He face and smiled at me.

It’s too crowded inside. So I decided to go to the garden to get some fresh air. I sighed and removed my mask. I walked farther down the path.

Leaves rustled in the night breeze and the moon smiles as the cloud moves. I walk through the fountain and then I turned a corner were the pink

roses are and saw a man in a cat’s mask. I haven’t saw that mask. He was sitting on a bench. Maybe one of the duke’s visitor.

What’s this?” He said. “A girl who disguise as swan.”

It was quiet. I could only hear nothing but the sound of my heart beating fast in my chest.

W-who are you?” My voice is shaking.

He raised his mask. It was Hyunseung. My eyes widened and I don’t know what to say. My mask that I’m holding fell.

“You’re a good actress.” He said.

He bow and get my mask that was on the ground. He gave it to me, as I took it, he grabbed my arm and pulled me to him.

“You play a dangerous game.” He whispered to my ear

“Be careful, not all are easily played.”

Then he released me. I backed away and ran.

What had he meant? Did he know that I’m not Suzy?

Would he tell the duke?

As I go back to the mansion. I immediately went to my bedroom. I rang the bell beside my bed to call Lia.

Lia where are you? I keep on ringing the bell but she didn’t answer.

Maybe she is busy. Maybe she’s helping the other maids at the ball. Just stay calm.

But my hands were trembling.

I’m so afraid.
