[ you 's POV]

We arrived at the duke’s mansion before sunset. Lia accompany me to my room.

“I’ll leave you for a while to rest” she said.

                 The room is fully furnished, as tough its been waiting for my arrival. There’s a big closet full of clothes and a dresser that

matches the dressing table. When I opened the window, I was amazed by the view, the sun is just beginning to set and there’s

an island of flowers in the garden.  

                    Lia wakes me up. She told me that we’ll be having dinner together with the duke and his sons. She helps me to choose

what dress will I wear. After choosing, she makes me sit and opens the make up drawer. She do a little make up and sprays a perfume that

at first it made me sneeze, but then recedes into a pleasant scent.

“Always remember that you’re Suzy”

After that she led me to the dining room. The other candidates are dressed in pink, blue, purple and yellow. I’am seated between them

at a long table under the giant chandelier. I saw Sulli, she was seated beside the girl who is seated beside me.

“Hi, there.” The girl said who is beside me.

“Hi.”

“I’m Luna”

“I’m S-Suzy.”

“Nice name.”

                When the Duke and his sons arrives, we all bow down. We sit in a row beside one another. Junhyung, Hyunseung, and Yoseob

were facing us while the duke is at the head. Two maids enters the room balancing a stack of plates and utensils. While the four others

who follow brought bottles of wine, pitcher of waters and a cart of extravagant foods. Junhyung does not smile. Hyunseung doesn’t talk much

about himself, his mind seems to be elsewhere while Yoseob was so cheerful. The other ladies were talking and chit chatting with them, asking r

andom things… Then I saw Sulli try to talk to Junhyung. We were shocked when Junhyung suddenly stood up.

“Father, I’m finished eating.” Junhyung said.

“Junhyung!” The duke shouted.

 Then he left the dining room. I can see that Sulli felt embarrassed.

“My apologies. I need to teach him some lessons.” The Duke said

After eating the dinner. The maids assist their own assigned ladies on their room. I saw Sulli with her maid. Her maid is familiar. It was MIN.

“Suzy!!!” Lia shouted.

“Lia!”

“How’s your dinner?”

I told her what happened. Then she assist me in my room.

“Lia, Did you see Min?”

“Nope, why?”

“I think I saw her with Sulli.”

“Its impossible, the duke is not allowing other maids to enter his mansion beside his own maids.”

“ Maybe I’m wrong.”

“Okay then, just ring that bell beside your bed if you have a problem.” “

Okay”

“Goodnight.”

She turned off the light and left. I can’t sleep…

Then I heard a sound.Someone’s playing the piano…

I closed my eyes and feel the music…

The music is so sad…

March 3, 1850

[ you's POV ]

 The sound of the door awakens me this time. Lia brought my breakfast.

“Good morning. Here’s your breakfast.”

“Thanks”

“You’re welcome. Do you sleep well?”

“Yeah…but last night I heard someone was playing the piano”

“Maybe it’s Junhyung.”

“Junhyuung?”

“Yeah, The eldest, he loves to play the piano.”

“By the way, horseback riding later.”

“HORSE?!Lia! I don’t’ know how to ride a horse!!”

But Lia already left.

            Sulli and the others were so excited when they saw the barn. They were so excited to pick their horse. Ohh..I’m nervous. Take a deep breath

you . You knew that you’re not the only one who can’t ride a horse, right? But I saw all the girls were already riding their horse. Eotteokhe?

I saw a brown horse at the last stable…

“Hello, there. Please cooperate, okay.”

I tried to go up at the back of the horse but I can’t , the horse keep on moving.

“Please cooperate.”

I tried once again but he keeps on moving…

“Come on.”

I tried again… Aiiisshh!!! Why are you keep on moving!!!

What will I do? What will I do?

I’ll try it again. Don’t give up I can do it. I tried to go up again at the back of the horse. I’m almost at his back when suddenly he moved again…

“Ouch… ”

I fell on the ground. Some girls were now looking at me and they were laughing. I felt so embarrassed. I was surprised when someone hold my hand/

It was Yoseob.

“Are you okay? Come on I’ll help you.” 

He help me to go up at the back of the horse. All the girls were glaring at me… as if like they’ll going to eat me.

“It’s okay now ” He said as he smiled. 

Omo~ Am I blushing? I feel waves of heat rushing to my cheeks.
