Lu Han closed his eyes slowly and opened them again.  Is this a dream?, he thought.  Is this for real?  He stared at the scenery in front of him…  And, yes, it was real.  He took in a deep breath as he looked into the small crowd of people that had seated themselves. 

            It was a beautiful setting.  The wedding planner did an amazing job with the Chung’s huge backyard.  It looked like a world of its own inside the white tent with the wispy, white fabric that covers all the chairs and different shades of red rose petals down the aisle.  It was perfect for his wedding.  The theme was black, white, and different shades of red.  The pair decided on red because of the influence from traditional Chinese weddings.  In addition, red symbolizes a thriving life. 

            Lu Han turned to look at Kris, who was smiling at him.  “I’m actually quite surprised how things turned out.” said the best man.

            “What do you mean?” laughed Lu Han.

            “I honestly didn’t think that you’ll ever get married.” replied Kris.  “Mia has changed you, without doubt.”

            Lu Han smiled.  “Well, I love her.” he said.

            “I know you do.  I’ve always known that before you figured it out so many years later.” laughed Kris.  “It was so obvious with the way you treated her.  She’s not like any other girl…  I’m glad.  I was worried about you.”

            “Did you really thought that I was going to die old, single, and alone?” smiled Lu Han.

            “Well, yeah!”

            “That’s horrible!”

            “Well, you weren’t exactly the committed type!  So, don’t start denying how you were now!”  Lu Han laughed.  “It was definitely meant to be for you two: this fated love story that you two share.”

            “Jealous, much?” he asked.

            Kris laughed.  “Of course.” he replied.  “Who wouldn’t be?”

            Lu Han just smiled brightly.  He definitely felt like a lucky man.  He felt like the Gods of Heaven were all on his side…  He had found someone that will be with him until the very end.  He, himself, had thought that he was going to die old and alone one day, far into the future, as well.  But, once Mia came into his life and their great friendship began, he no longer felt that way.  That was why he had asked her to promise to be by his side forever before he discovered his feelings for her…  He loved being in her presence.  She will and always be able to wash away any negativity that he feels creeping up on him and fill him with warmth and love… 

            Without her, he wouldn’t be able to live properly.  Every heartbeat, every breath, and every day will be lived to look forward to be with Chung Mia until the very last heartbeat, breath, and day…  He will be with her until then and it made him happy to commit the rest of his lifetime to her. 

            He was glad that he wouldn’t be wasting away his life to chasing after skirts, being the life of the party, and living life without knowing Mia.  He was glad that he became a changed man for the better, for her.  He regretted nothing.

            Lu Han was standing there and ready to live a life full of laughter, warmth, kisses, love, and so much more with Mia.

            The live orchestra band interrupted his thoughts as his eyes averted to the entrance of the white tent.  There stood Mia, looking like a fallen angel from Heaven in white.  She was breathtakingly beautiful.   Lu Han knew it that that memory of her will always remain in his memories: her standing there, with her father at her side, so radiant and lovely in her wedding dress.

            Lu Han couldn’t contain his smile as he watched her made her way down the aisle to him.  Now that I’m here, I will never say good bye and we will be together forever, he thought.  You have loved me in ways that I have never been loved before…  And, I have loved you ever since the beginning without even knowing and I’m sorry that I didn’t realize then.  I love you and will continue to love you till the end of time, Mia, my darling.  I know that the future has many ups and downs for us, but we will have each other.  Let’s proceed on with our lives, until our last breaths, hand in hand.

AUTHOR’S FINAL NOTE

            Hi everyone!  I know that this probably isn’t the ending you all anticipated…  (Please don’t hate me!)  I wasn’t expecting this myself, but I honestly cannot bring myself to drag this story any further.  I don’t know what to write any more.  LOL

            This couple has been through everything.  They’ve been through the friendship phase, the denial phase, telling the truth to the fans phase, and more!  I know that this story is mostly based on their friendship (there are more chapters of them being friends than being in a relationship with each other).  And, I’m truly sorry for that!  But!  They were already close even then, so it seemed like they were already in a relationship and I loved them being quirky and all…   Honestly, to me, their friendship and boyfriend/girlfriend relationship was indifferent for me so I couldn’t really come up with new scenarios besides Mia’s fame and her fans.

            Lu Han and Mia truly is a great pair.  The bestest of best friends!  LOL  They’re so close that no one would be surprised that they became the couple that they became at all…  The main inspiration that made me start to write this story was a FMV, fanmade video, on HunHan.  I truly think that they’re really great friends.  (Mia is not the female version of Sehun, in any form or way at all.)  Watching the FMV actually made me a bit jealous at how beautiful their friendship is (not in a homoual way, but an actual friendship way). 

            I’ve always wanted a really a good friendship myself, so I decided to write this story about friendship between a boy (Lu Han) and girl (Mia/my OC) and how that friendship slowly involves into love.  I really liked how the story progressed because I didn’t expect it to go the way it did at all.  All I knew was that my OC was going to be famous, while he’s some normal guy and they’re best friends.  I already thought of Mia’s honest confession about her relationship with Lu Han to her fans in Chapter 73  even before I wrote the story.  That was all I had when I started to write the story, which is why the beginning and ending isn’t as lovely as the middle of the story.

            Sorry about that.

            I hoped that you all enjoyed this story!  And, THANK YOU SO MUCH for staying for the ride.  LOL
