Chapter 52

99% Males 1% Females

As much as I didn’t want to admit it, being Lu Han is always the best.  It’s like being with Mason, but different…  It’s different in a good unexplainable way.  Regardless of me being a brat and he living in a completely different world for a while now, it was like nothing ever happened when we were catching up with each other.

I couldn’t talk about my discovery of my feelings towards Lu Han…  That would totally ruin the mood.  So, I talked about my frustration about dance classes in the morning.  Since I was in Seoul after all, I wanted to give Hyuk a break from traveling so far and long for the weekend.  So, I decided to meet him at his dance studio for our usual dance practice.

Mom and Dad were busy going around Seoul.  Meanwhile, Lu Han decided to tag along with me out of curiosity.  He wanted to know how complicated the dance moves were…  I had an urge to want to roll my eyes because I know that Lu Han will say that the dance routine was easy.

For 4 hours straight, Hyuk drilled the dance moves into me.  It was around noon when I wanted give up…  I could care less if Lu Han was there or not.  I am not a dancer.  It seemed like Hyuk was disappointed at my negative attitude.  I know that he wanted the best for me, but I didn’t care at the time.  He knew that I was agitated and frustrated at myself because I couldn’t dance smoothly.

Hyuk flashed a smile and patted me on the shoulder before I left.  “Mia, don’t worry.” he said.  “You have potential to be a great dancer.  It just takes time.”

I nodded my head slowly, absorbing what he said.  “Well, I should let you two go.  It’ll be a long ride before you guys get home.”

Lu Han smiled and said,  “Glad to meet you!”

“Of course!” laughed Hyuk.  “Take good care of Mia and give her those nightly ankle massages.  She’ll need it!”

Lu Han quickly turned to me with a look on his face.  It looked like he was practically begging me to let him massage me again.  I rolled my eyes.  “OK, OK!” I said, as I pulled my duffle bag across my chest.  “I want to sleep now.”

Hyuk and Lu Han just laughed.

Before heading back to the hotel to check out, Lu Han and I stopped by a food cart.  I was starving…  I totally wanted to completely stuff my face…  And, I did.  I had some ddeokbukki, soondae, fish cakes, and kimbap.  I had to control myself from swallowing everything whole because I was so hungry.  Meanwhile, Lu Han just had meat.  I never noticed how much he loved meat.  He had multiple sausages, chicken skewers and French-fries corn dog…

“Yah…” I said, elbowing Lu Han’s side.  “You should eat some carbs!  Here have some kimbap!”  Surprisingly, Lu Han opened his mouth for me to feed him.  And, I readily did so with excitement and happiness coursing through my veins.

“Wow!  This is good!” said Lu Han, after a few chomps.  He gave the ajumma the thumbs up.  “Daebak!!”

She quickly smiled and blushed.  “Oh, no!  Not at all!” she replied.

Just take the darn compliment!, I thought.  It’s rare to run into pretty boys as perfect as Lu Han!

Lu Han turned to me with a smile.  He was about to feed me a piece of sausage when my phone ranged.  “Hello?” I asked.

Coming from the other end, I heard a loud, heavy breathing.  “Ah!  Chung Mia?” asked a voice.  “Uh…  HI!  This is Zhang Yixing…  I’m currently in Seoul right now and I was wondering if you could help me...”

“What is it?” I asked, quickly.

            “I can’t find Hyuk Ge’s dance studio…” replied Yixing.  “And, I don’t know where I am…”

            “I see…” I said.  “The production company didn’t give you a translator?

“Well, you see…   I forgot where we were supposed to meet.” said Yixing, meekly.  “I got off the plane earlier and forgot that I was supposed to meet them…  So, I got on the bus and was half way to Seoul when I realized that I was supposed to meet my translator.”

I smiled at how cute he was.  Zhang Yixing was one of my co-stars.  He will be my Chinese male partner for the movie.  Although I’ve only spent a week with him during our line rehearsal in January, I found him to be a genuinely interesting, sarcastic guy.

“Don’t worry.  I’ll call Hyuk and the production company what happened.” I said.  “Do you have a clue of where you are?”

“U-Uh, no.” stated Yixing.  I could hear his nervousness.

Quickly assessing the situation, I thought of a plan.  “W-Why don’t you try to go to a food stand and ask for help?” I suggested, unsure of myself.  I know that Yixing had learned some basic Korean, so he has to know how to ask for help.  “Just say, ‘Please help me’ and hand over the phone to the vendor.  I’ll ask them about where you are.

            “P-Please help me?” asked Yixing.

            “Yes.” I replied.

I listened intently on Yixing’s fumbling as he looked around for a food cart.  There has to be one somewhere!!, I thought.  There is no way there is no food cart in any district…  Unless if he’s in the rich area of town…

I turned to look at Lu Han, as I continued to listen to Yixing repeat ‘Please help me’ in Korean multiple times.  I almost bumped into his chest, not realizing how close he had leaned on me.  Obviously, he was trying to overhear the conversation.  He was wearing a curious face as he ate is sausage slowly.

“Yixing?” he asked, softly.  He raised an eyebrow.  “You have a Chinese boyfriend and I didn’t-”  I quickly face palmed Lu Han’s face.  He had some nerves to be saying that to me.

“Mia Jie!” said Yixing, on the other line.  He grabbed my attention, as I turned away from Lu Han.

I could hear Yixing’s suitcase roll on the ground and his hard breathing.  Suddenly, he came to a stop.  Then, I could hear an ajumma reply, “How can I help you?”

Yixing quickly said, “Please help me!”  His voice was distant, as I could hear him pass the phone to the vendor.

“Y-You want me to talk into the phone?” asked the ajumma.  It seemed like Yixing must had nodded his head or replied quietly because I couldn’t hear him talk.  “Hello?”

“Oh!  Hello!” I replied.  “My Chinese friend doesn’t know that much Korean and is lost.  I was wondering if you could tell me about where you are at the moment.”

I quickly jotted the district and street names down.  I was worried for Yixing.  I didn’t want anything to happen to him just because he’s forgetful.  After the talk, I quickly grabbed my things and paid for the food.  Lu Han was slowing me down by being the accident-prone person he was.  He kept on bumping into people and almost tripped over a chair on our way out of the food stand.  I told him to go back to the hotel because I wanted to get there as fast as I could.

“Just go back to the hotel!” I suggested, as I literally running through the hoard of people.  “You’re slowing me down!”

“No!” replied Lu Han, as he pulled me aside from the bustling people.

“Yah!  What are you doing?” I asked, as I pulled him off of my forearm.  “You’re wasting my time!”

“I don’t care!” stated Lu Han.   From the corner of my eyes, I could see that people were stopping to watch the commotion.  Stupid Lu Han…  “So what if I’m slowing you down?  You can’t get there anytime soon anyways!”

“Well, I’m going to get there ASAP!” I replied.  “Yixing needs me!”  I rolled my eyes as I tried to walk pass Lu Han.

He grabbed my arm and pulled me back to face him.  “Who the hell is this Yixing guy?” he asked, angry.  “You’ve never talked to him before!”

I quickly pulled my arm away from his grip.  “He’s my co-star!” I replied.  “And, he doesn’t know Korean!  He needs me!  I’m the only person he knows in Korea that will be able to help him!”

Lu Han let out a deep breath, angry for some reason.  “This is ridiculous!”  he said, rolling his eyes.  “Why can’t I go with you?!  Is there something that you want to hide from me, is that why?!”

I wanted to punch Lu Han in the face.  He was being annoying and completely misunderstood the situation.  I already told him to go back to the room because he was slowing me down.  I was about to say something when he interrupted me.

“Do you like him?  This Yixing.  Do you like him, is that why you won’t let me go with you?” he asked.

For a moment, I actually thought that Lu Han liked me.  He wore this face that looked like he was hurt and I was totally bought.

“I know that I’ve been hanging out a lot with Seohyun and all…  But, that doesn’t mean that you can shut me out of your life.” continued Lu Han.  “I mean-”

I let out a frustrated sigh and bolted away from him, as I rolled my eyes.  The moment he said Seohyun’s name, I wanted to punch his face again…  For making me go through an emotional roller coaster.

I knew it that this stupid guy was going to drive me crazy today!!, I thought.

It was when I was at the subway when I realized that Lu Han wasn’t following me.  I didn’t really care as much as I didn’t mind him tagging along.  If he was sulking, then I hoped that he was doing so in the hotel room.  I quickly glance down at my watch.  It was already 1 PM and we were supposed to check out of the hotel rooms by 3:30.  I let out a sigh.

I hope I get there and be able to bring Yixing back in time, I thought.

I had to get a cab after I got out of the subway.  I didn’t really know Seoul that well, so I didn’t want to get lost.  The taxi driver and I eventually found the food stand.  I quickly went to get Yixing, thanked the ajumma, and headed back to the subway.

“I’m so sorry about being such an idiot.” apologized Yixing, as we sat down on two open seats on the subway.

I smiled at him.  “It’s OK.  I’m glad that I was able to help you.” I said.  “It would be ugly if you tried to communicate with the other Korean co-stars since your Korean is weak at the moment.”  A shiver went down my spine thinking of how complicated it would have been if Yixing did contacted the Korean co-stars.  Although he knew basic Korean, it was weak and he knew only a few words too.

Yixing nodded his head, slowly.  At first, I was worried that I had offended the younger guy without thinking about it.  All the sudden he smiled.  “I’m working hard with my Korean.” he replied.  “I’ve decided to attend a Korean Language Learning program at a university for the summer.  I hope that I will become better at it.

I smiled.  “Really?” I asked, surprised.  “I’m so glad!  I know that I might live far away from Seoul, but we can always chat online!  It’ll be good for your Korean writing and my Simplified Chinese writing.”

Yixing let out a warm laugh.  “Sure!” he said.  “I would love to!”

“When does your program start, Yixing?” I asked, forgetting that it was barely the end of April.

“Around next month, late May or early June.” he replied.  Before I could ask him, he quickly added.  “I came here to learn our dance routines in depth…  It’s good in China and all, but I want to directly interact with the choreographer which is Hyuk.

I nodded my head, understanding what he meant.  Great, now he’s going to know how much I at dancing, I thought.

Yixing and I actually met Lu Han in front of the dance studio, to my surprise.  He was hanging out there, looking so gloomy that I almost didn’t even recognized him.  He looked so nervous when we approached him that I had to do a double take on whether it really was the Lu Han I knew.

            “M-Mia!” he called out, softly.

            “Lu Han?” I replied, bewildered.

I was about to ask him why he was there, but Yixing quickly introduced himself.

“Hi!  My name is Zhang Yixing!” he smiled, extending his hand out to Lu Han to shake.  His Korean pronounciation was excellent with the perfect tones and syllables.

Lu Han stood there and stared at him for a good 5 seconds…  He completely made the cheery atmosphere quickly turn sour.  “So… You’re Yixing.” he replied.

Yixing just nodded his head, meekly.  From his facial expression, he was surprised that Lu Han was Chinese because he looks so Korean.  Finally, Lu Han extended his hand out to shake his hand.  “Nice to meet you, I’m Lu Han.” he introduced himself.

The younger guy smiled softly.  “S-Sorry about being such a nuisance.” he said to Lu Han.  “I-I didn’t mean to bother your girlfriend at all.”

I was about to deny his assumption when Lu Han shrugs like nothing.  “It’s OK.  We’re always together anyways…” he said.  “Mia is always willing to help others when they need it…”  He looked at Yixing closely.  “Are you from Hunan?  Your accent is subtle, but I’m not sure.

“Oh!  Yes, I am!” replied Yixing, with a bright smile that showed his dimple.

            Aww…  How cute!, I thought.

I felt Lu Han’s hand touch mine, grabbing my attention.  “Let’s go inside and introduce you to Hyuk.” he said, bluntly.  “We have to go home soon.

I looked down at my watch.  It was 3:27 PM.  I knew that my parents were going to give me a lecture on the way home for leaving unexpectedly and leaving my hotel room in a mess from this  morning.

Author’s Note:

Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter!!  ^^  Yes, it seems like I’m putting the EXO members little by little into this story…  Yay!  They have cameos in my story!  This is completely unplanned and I am not planning on using all of the members in my story.

LOL  Yixing and Lu Han…   Hm....  I've noticed this before, but my DPs are totally LayHan biased...  XP  Oh well!

Chapter 77: Finished! This was so beautiful! The storyline was so creative and honestly to me nothing felt cliché at all. Their relationship was so beuatiful and sweet (I'm kind of jealous tbh). Sure, I agree the ending seems like it's missing something but at the same time I don't know how it could have ended better. Lu Han thinking about everything as she walked down the aisle was wonderful.
When I first clicked on this story I wasn't Sure what to expect. The summary seemed interesting enough (I thirst for university harems hehe). But the more I read the more I realized how well written and thought out this story is. I'm really happy I decided to read it, especially since most of my time is spent on Kyungsoo, Minseok, and Jongdae. Now I'll probably start reading more Lu Han haha :-)
What else do I say? I've already written an essay...
Thanks for writing this haha :D

Chapter 77: I Enjoyed this story so much. But I wish the ending was longer. I really liked how they started off as not liking each other to beaming friends and then loving each other really different from other stories I've read . Thank you author nim for this awesome story.
