It was dark and cold.

It felt stuffy.

Can’t even move.

She can only feel the freezing ground against her fingertips.

She hates this.

Then suddenly, there is light from the distance.

She felt safe.

She tried so hard to move her body, but only her arm that responded.

As her hand reached out, she held back the tears that already falling.

No voice. She can’t even scream.

“Sweetheart,”

A voice.

She knows that voice.

It belongs to her father.

Her dearly father that she missed.

It was so strange.

She is suddenly inside her old room.

Her father is sitting on the bed. He looks so young.

On his lap is a girl.

“To be happy, you have to let go the past,” she heard her father spoke to the girl on her lap.

The girl nodded her head lightly.

She then hugged her father tightly and her father patted her head.

That little girl…

That’s me, she whispered to herself.

The little ‘me’.

Suddenly, she is on the middle of the road.

The flickering lights hurt her eyes.

The sound of screeching wheels blow up her ears.

She screams.

A footstep…..

She opened her eyes.

A man is standing, looking at her with horror and fear on his eyes.

Until he ran away, leaving her.

She didn’t even realize that she is crying.

Then she looked down.

Her father is lying, lifelessly on the cold ground.

Covered with blood.

And then she screams again.

What was that?

Taeyeon woke up with her face drenched in sweat. She pulled her body up and stared on to her wet palms.

A bad dream.

After so long that she hadn’t experienced it, it comes again. But now, it’s different. It was only her father and her mother in the frame usually, but she was suddenly in this time. What does that mean?

And what her father said to her…

What does that mean?

“I miss you mom, dad,” she whispered to herself. She closed her eyes as she took a deep breath. She has promised herself that there will be no more tears. To be strong and kind is what her father always said to her.

“Dad…” she breathed out. The cold breeze can still be felt piercing through her skin. She wrapped her blanket closer to her.

“What are you trying to say?” she asked to herself. Taeyeon somehow sure that the dream she had has something behind it. This kind of dream is different, she is sure about that. It’s like her father is trying to talk to her, like he wanted to say something to remind her.

The sound of her ringtone caught her attention. He swipe the green icon as she saw the caller ID.

“Hi,” she greeted.

“Morning! Did I wake you up?” asked the caller.

She ran a hand through her hair as she leaned onto her bed again. “Nope. I already woke up,” she replied.
