A Cliché Family Fortyseven Minho has been looking forward to this day for the past year. Jinki has been looking forward to it as well because he proud of his son. Kibum – not so much. He can't stand the idea that his second son is graduating high school. Of course, Taemin is only 11 so there's still time before he's going to graduate but with Minho graduating and Jonghyun in university he feels so old.

They stand in the hallway and wait for their sons to get ready and Jinki squeezes his shoulder with a smile while Minho finishes his preparations. Taemin has the day off and Jonghyun is home from university because they're both required to attend Minho's graduation as well. Neither of the two brothers actually wanted to attend their brother's graduation but Kibum has forced them nonetheless. Kibum sends Jinki a smile and sighs a little.

“They're getting so old,” he sighs and Jinki chuckles.

“I know, honey.” Kibum doesn't know how Jinki stays so positive. Minho is ready shortly after, his uniform ready to be doused with eggs and flour. Not that Jinki or Kibum is supposed to know that because his fashionista father would definitely not appreciate the fabric covered in flour and eggs but Minho is going to participate in the fun with his friends nonetheless. He's finally free. Well, until he begins university of course but university doesn't require uniforms. Taemin reluctantly finds his fathers.

“Do I have to?” Kibum turns to look at their youngest.

“Yes, Taemin, you're not getting the day off just to lounge around back home.” The 11-year-old sighs heavily again and trots back into his room to find his duffel bag.

“But you're dropping me off at the dance studio afterwards, right?” Jinki nods.

“Of course.” The boy nods a little as confirmation and turns to shout after Minho and Jonghyun.



When they arrive at the school, Minho finds his seat beside Sooyoung. Jinki and Kibum stay behind with Jonghyun and Taemin. Taemin tries his hardest to look like he's not associated with them when Kibum gets tears eyed and Jinki grabs his hands and intertwines their fingers. Jonghyun ruffles Taemin’s hair much to the youngers annoyance and sends him a bright smile. Taemin just huffs and walks a few meters away.

When the ceremony begins, Kibum can't hold his tears and they start falling silently on his cheeks. Jinki squeezes his hand and Kibum leans into him. Jonghyun joins his younger brother 5 meters away from their two fathers. Having Kibum crying is definitely embarrassing. It doesn't help at all when the principal calls for 'Kim Minho' and Minho gets up to get his diploma.

Kibum hides his face in Jinki's shoulder, sobbing because he's just so damn proud of his son and Jinki is teary-eyed as well. Never mind the fact that he felt old an hour ago, he will always be proud of his son and seeing him tall and proud on the stage when he receives his diploma is just too much for Kibum. Jonghyun and Taemin shy another 2 meters away.
