A Cliché Family Fortytwo Jonghyun is about to pack his things into boxes. He's got his acceptance letter to Korea National University of Arts and he's going to move to the dorm so he's ready to start his education. Jinki and Kibum are proud of him. Neither of them knows exactly how he got in because they have never really heard his music, but they're proud nonetheless. Having a son at K-ARTS is huge and Kibum knows some of the parents in Taemin's class that have older children as well are rather jealous of their oldest son. This of course only adds onto Kibum's pride. Jinki looks up from where he's hunched over a box, trying to tape it closed. Kibum finishes packing the last of Jonghyun's suitcases and claps his hands. Jonghyun turns to look at his fathers with a grateful smile.

"Thanks for helping me," he says and Kibum pulls him into a hug.

"No problem. We're so proud of you," he says for the nth time and kisses Jonghyun's temple. Jonghyun shies away from Kibum. Minho is standing in the doorway. He's observing his fathers and his brother and when he finally takes a step into the room, it's to ruffle Jonghyun's hair just to mock him for his low height.

"Can I get hyung's room now that he moves?" he asks and Jinki sighs a little while Jonghyun tries to push Minho out of his room. Taemin enters just then and jumps onto Jonghyun's now empty bed and sighs in relief.

"No, I want it." Jinki exchanges a tired glance with his husband before he sighs and lifts the closed box and leaves the room. He doesn't want in on it.



The entire family drives Jonghyun to his new dorm. It's a little packed on the backseat with three growing men and the luggage but it works out. Kibum simply closes his ears when they start to argue. They're old enough to fix petty arguments like this themselves. When they park the car, everybody gets a thing or two they have to carry. Neither of them wants to go twice and they're luckily enough people. Jonghyun is going to share his room with another boy named Joonyoung. The other looks like he is trouble and they catch him smoking out of the window when they enter. Kibum can feel his displeasure at the sight of the roommate. He doesn't want Jonghyun around people that can be a bad influence and this man - guy - definitely looks like bad influence.

Jinki just sends the other a smile as if it is perfectly normal for a college student to sit on the window sill and smoke out of the window in order not to get caught. Jinki then turns to his son and brings him in for a hug.

"Take care of yourself Jonghyun." Jonghyun wraps his arms around his father and relaxes in the embrace. He's soon 20 and it should be quite embarrassing but hugging Jinki will never really be embarrassing. Not any longer when he's so close to being grown up. "You know you can always come home during weekends." When Jinki lets go of him, Minho and Taemin gives Jonghyun a hug as well. They don't say much because what is there really to say.

Jonghyun doesn't say anything because he doesn't know how to say goodbye to his brothers. They are only his brothers aft
