A Cliché Family
Fortyfive
Minho meets her at the library when he goes to search for another chemistry book. He is a senior in high school and he can't wait until he graduates. He has a test to study for on Monday and he may be a little late but at least he's here to find the damn book. He sees her long hair from behind and is stunned by the length of it. It looks so soft and the light brown color suits it. It looks colored but Minho doesn't mind it. It's beautiful. She's going through anatomy books and Minho wonders if she's older than him.
He knows that if he had been here with his friends they would have said something vulgar about ing her but Minho doesn't want to her. He just wants to admire her beauty. Her long hair stops right at her waist and it shows how wonderful her lower body is sculpted. She doesn't look as skinny as the girls in his class but she's not overweight at all. It looks healthy to Minho. Her hips give place for a round bottom and her legs look like they've been carved in marble by a sculptor. Minho lets out a dreamy sigh.
She stumbles over a book and apologizes when she turns around and knocks down an additional two books. The librarian glares at her and she sits down to get the fallen books. It's June so she's not wearing a lot of clothes, just like the rest of them, but she doesn't make it seem vulgar like so many other girls would. Minho automatically shuffles closer and when he stands behind her, he squats down, only causing the girl to get a shock. Minho apologizes immediately.
"It's okay," she sighs and picks up the last book, trying not to knock another one over when she stands up. Minho gets up beside her. She's not as small as he would have thought, but she's smaller than him.
When she turns around after having put the last book back, Minho gets a glimpse of her face. She has beautiful brown eyes, soft features and a shy smile on her lips. She bows slightly to him but when she's about to stand she knocks her head against Minho's chin. He's not sure how it's possible but the pain in his chin is telling him that it definitely is.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" she says in panic before she asks him whether or not he's okay. Minho assures her that he's fine and that it's no big deal. She hurries out of the library after she has apologized at least 5 times more and Minho stands back and admires her fleeting back and the long hair that sways in the wind.
When he comes home Jinki turns to look at his son.
"Did you get the book?" he asks and Minho suddenly remembers why he even went to the library.
"Uuuh," he says and then smiles wide and fake. "Yes of course!" Jinki rolls his eyes a little and reaches out towards Minho.
"Give it to me, I'll help you study then." This request has Minho deflating and the 18-year-old boy sighs.
"Okay, no, I didn't get the book." Jinki doesn't say anything but he does pull out the chair beside him and motions for Minho to sit down. It's been a while since they had father-son bonding and now that neither Kibum nor Taemin is home, Jinki hopes they can have a little time.
"Why not?" Minho doesn't answer his question but he sighs nonetheless.
"Dad, I'm aual right?" The man nods and Minho continues. "But can ualities like ... change overnight?" Jinki raises an eyebrow.
"Why do you ask?" Minho sighs a little.
"There was the girl at the library." Jinki lightens up in a smile and Minho tries his best to ignore the man. He doesn't want Jinki to say anything because it'll most likely not be what Minho wants to convey. Jinki doesn't say anything though. "She was really beautiful and ... I really wanted to get to know her." Jinki nods a little. "Is that possible without being heteroual?" Minho turns to look at his father. This time he expects a serious answer.
"Did you want to bang her?" Jinki asks instead and Minho wonders why on earth he even confided in his father. It was doomed from the beginning. He should have spoke
