Your POV

Jaejoong was in my room, waking me up. I wonder if Khun oppa told him to do this too. I pulled the sheets over me.

I heard some shuffling and then someone was tugging at the sheets.

Does he need something?

I pulled the sheets down and saw his face. His eyes were staring at me. Those eyes…..the reason why I actually fell for this…..fool.

“What?” I asked, I pulled the sheets over me again.

“I need your help.” He said.

“On?”

“Our creative director, she hired someone to help us with choosing the furniture and motif for the new hotel….but, we cant contact her.”

What? I got confused.

“What?”

“You’re good at those kind of stuff, choosing furniture, artsy stuff.”

“You want me to help you with that?”

“Yeah, let’s go out today and check some furniture showrooms.”

“But it’s a weekend~~” I whined.

“Please? You’re the only person~”

“I’m from another company.” I tried to reason out.

“Does that make sense now?” I added.

“But….you’re my wife.” He said softly. I pushed the sheets over me and looked at him.

“Please?” He said.

Why does he have to stare at me with those eyes?!

“Fine, I’ll be up in a few.” I said as I hid under the sheets again to hide the smile forming on my face.

“Thanks.” I felt him hugged me and left.

WHEW. I thought my ribcage was going to blow because of my heart.

Now I know what one of my weaknesses is.

Jaejoong’s eyes.

Narrator’s POV

The couple was seen going around famous furniture showrooms together. Inhee was unconsciously holding onto the tail of Jaejoong’s cardigan.

He stopped walking.

“Whats wrong?” Inhee asked.

“Let’s do this the right way.” He smiled softly as he took hold of her hand.

Jaejoong hid his smile from her and walked forward. Inhee was confused why Jaejoong was acting that way, but nevertheless, she always knew that Jaejoong was so unpredictable, so she decided to play along.

“This hotel, what’s the motif?” Inhee asked.

“Our Busan branch….it’s a bit Mediterranean.”

“Oh, corals and yellows.” Inhee nodded as she looked around.

She was taking some notes and pictures with her DSLR.

“I’ll print these out and give them to you by Monday.” She said.

Jaejoong nodded. He was happy she was there with him, but still something was still bothering him. Inhee noticed this too.

“Are you okay?” She asked.

“Yeah?..Yes. Let’s go, we should eat after this.” Jaejoong smiled.

“Oh, right, how was your dinner with your friends?”

“It was fine, they looked for you.”

Inhee smiled and continued writing.

“I have something to tell you.” Inhee started.

“Serin……I kinda got in her bad side.”

Jaejoong looked at her, confused.

“I declined her proposal for the company. I think she’s mad at me.”

Jaejoong exhaled, relieved.

“It’s okay, it’s just business.”

“That’s not all…I’ve been wanting to tell you this, she….she’s in love with you.”

Jaejoong stopped walking.

Inhee regretted talking.

“That’s not your problem, Inhee.” He said calmly.

“I know but, it makes me feel guilty, I’m stuck in between, I’m the obstacle~”

“You’re not.” Jaejoong took her by the shoulders.

“If someone has to be the obstacle, it should be her, we’re married.” He gently poked her nose.

Your POV

After going around the stores Jaejoong decided to drive to the beach.

“You’re so random. Why the beach?” I asked as I popped a fry in my mouth. We bought fastfood along the way.

“I just miss the smell of the sea.” He shrugged.

“The last time I was at-“

I shouldn’t remind him of that.

“What?” He looked at me.

I shook my head. I remembered L.Joe and his gangster goons.

“It’s refreshing.” Jaejoong said. He was in front of me, walking on the shore.

I smiled at his back. It’s good seeing him relax once in a while.

“If someone has to be the obstacle, it should be her, we’re married.”

What does he mean? Doesn’t he love her? Why would he treat her as the obstacle?

Our marriage is just temporary, why does he take it so~

“Ya, what are you doing? So slow.” He pulled my hand and held onto it.

Somehow, him doing this…it feels…natural. Like, we’ve been doing it for our whole lives. I like how his hands are warm and soft.

“Thanks for helping me today.” He said.

“It was no biggie, I had fun anyway.” I replied.

Why isn’t he letting go of my hand? It’s comfortable, yes, but it feels…..

“I like moments like this.” He smiled.

Then he did something, I never expected him too.

He brought my hand close to his face.

I tried to calm myself by pushing him lightly.

“Why? I cant do that?” He said playfully.

No, because if you keep on doing that….i think I wont be able to let go of you when we separate.

I smiled and shook my head.

“Inhee-ya, can you promise me something?”

Jaejoong and I were sitting inside a small coastal restaurant. Both of us were waiting for our food.

“What is it?” I asked.

“Promise me that if something’s wrong you would always tell me. Don’t keep things from me.”

What is he saying? Does he~

No, he doesn’t. How can he even know? It’s impossible that he’ll know.

Inhee, just act cool.

“Arasso.” I smiled back.

“Thank you.” He said as he gripped my hand once and let go.

I cant lie to him. But he cant know that something’s wrong. Its hard keeping things from him. But, I’m afraid. What if he wont treat the same?
