Narrator’s POV

Serin went back to her office, furious. She wanted to slap Inhee right then and there. Her whole life she never felt so defeated and looked down on.

She loved Jaejoong, yes. She’s confident that he still loves her too. But, she sees Inhee as the obstacle. She was the reason why Jaejoong wont come to her.

“One day, you will regret this, Ho Inhee.”

Inhee was already home when Jaejoong arrived. She was in the living room, lounging on the sofa while watching television.

“You’re home early.” Jaejoong said.

“I have something to say…”

Jaejoong looked at her questioningly and stood in front of her.

“What?”

“We should call some take out, the kitchen and I are not….good friends.” She smiled sheepishly.

Jaejoong laughed.

“It’s okay, we don’t need to.” He said as he went up to his room.

Jaejoong’s POV

I went up to my room to change. I slipped into a white v-neck shirt and gray sweatpants.

Suddenly, I remembered my conversation with Inhee’s brother.

“You met with Park Distributors today with my sister?”

“Yeah, I did. Why?”

“That’s stupid. Are you trying to kill her?”

“Oppa, stop it.”  Inhee stood up.

“What….do you mean~”

“That man, he tried~”

“Ho Nichkhun!” Inhee looked mad.

She glared at her brother. It was a first for me, I’ve never seen her so angry.

“That’s stupid. Are you trying to kill her?”

 “What….do you mean~”

“That man, he tried~”

What did he mean about trying to kill her? Why would a simple meeting with the Park Distributors~

 “That man, he tried~”

That man? But, who?

Does he mean Mister Park? Jaebum?

It cant be, Inhee doesn’t even remember him.

The boy from the photo? It can’t be related. It’s too…..impossible.

I should just ask Inhee.

I placed a cardigan on and went down.

“So what are you cooking?” She asked as she sat on the countertop. I smiled at her. She was dressed in her usual “at home” get up, short terry shorts and a white shirt.

“What do you want to eat?” I asked.

“Beef spareribs. Kalbichim!” She grinned.

“You sound hungry.”I grinned as I reached for the fridge.

“Can I help with something?” She asked. I nodded.

“I have a…few questions.”

“Fire.” She grinned as she plaed the apron around me.

“Earlier..with your brother~”

She looked away.

“What did he mean by…that man? Killing you?”

“Oppa’s just being paranoid.” She smiled tightly.

“Why? You were with me.”

She didn’t say anything.

“The photo, the younger boy there, it cant be the same man he was talking about~”

She dropped the glass she was holding.

“Inhee? Are you okay?” I went to her.

“I’m…fine.”

“You’re not hurt?” I asked.

She shook her head.

“Jaejoong, can we not talk about the photo anymore? My brother was just paranoid, period. Nothing else.” She said.

I could only nod. Something was wrong; I could feel the atmosphere changed. Inhee was quiet now.

Your POV

How….how..did he..

It can’t be, my worst nightmare. Jaejoong can’t know. I must act normal. I cant let him know I was affected by what he just said.

I put my best smile on.

“Let’s eat.” Jaejoong handed me my spoon.

“Tomorrow’s a weekend,are you busy?” He asked.

“Not…really. I haven’t checked my schedule yet.” I replied.

“I guess you working is a bad idea.”

I looked up.

“You being busy, I don’t want to be alone in the house.” He grinned.

“You always have the good old’ Xbox.”

“You’re mean.” He pouted.

I laughed.

“I’ll check my schedule, I’ll see what I can do.”

He smiled and nodded.

“You should eat more.” He urged.

Narrator’s POV

After dinner, Inhee went up to her room. Jaejoong was in his study reading some files. But the photo kept on bothering him also the conversation he had with Khun.

“Some way…the photo and the man he talked about is related…but…what about Park Jaebum?” He shook his head.

His thoughts were blundered when his phone rang.

“Hyung, the creative director! We need to present something by Monday.” Junsu spoke.

“Ah, right, about that, I know someone who can help us.”

“Who?”

“Someone we know, anyway, I’ll just call you tomorrow.” Jaejoong put his phone down.

Jaejoong woke up in his usual time. Inhee was still in bed, sleeping in. He was in the library, reading but eventually he got bored. Then he remembered the call Junsu made. He contacted Inhee’s secretary and asked her to clear his wife’s schedule today.

It was a good thing, he could do something for the company and he could spend time with Inhee too. He was smiling from ear to ear as he headed up to her room.

He found her sleeping on her bed. He grabbed a pillow and kneeled beside her bed. He leaned on the bed and watched her sleep.

“I should be waking her up.” He muttered as he watched Inhee’s face.

“Inhee-ya, wake up.” He said.

Inhee didn’t react. Jaejoong looked at her, confused.

“Is she hard to wake up?”

He smiled as he tucked a lock of her hair behind her ear.

“Am…I really in love with you?”

“Does someone like me even deserve you?”

“Kim Inhee…wake up.” He chided. Inhee turned, her back was facing him.

“Jae….joong, it’s still early…weekend…remember?” He heard her mumble as she hid behind the sheets.

Jaejoong froze.

 Did she hear everything?
