As the sun breaks through, and the horizon started to brighten, the gray dawn gradually became clear.
While half awake and half dreaming, she opened her eyes a little, and in the state of absentmindedness, she seemed to have seen his look of concern. She sat up calling him, but only saw a flash of his red and black robe, and in the next moment, he was gone.
Everything was not realistic, just like a dream. Could it be possible that, he didn’t return to the underground palace last night?
Reflecting on his night visit last night, it wasn’t like the way he looked at her when she was weeping, didn’t stir up feelings in her heart. Before when she was with him from morning till evening, the camaraderie between them inadvertently grew. She was aware that he had gentleness somewhere in his heart, just like he was aware of her loneliness and difficulties. He let her live up to till now, and allowed her to go home to nurse herself back to health. Besides her value as a puppet, there has always been a mix of other reasons, that can’t be explained clearly and have others understand. Then again, she is no different. Just because she was angry, she didn’t acknowledge his existence, and because she wanted to save Hae Ryeong, she defied his orders. If she didn’t believe that she held some weight in his heart, she wouldn’t dare to go that far with her actions.

She got up and prepared herself.
She didn’t call Jeong-ii. She knew Jeong-ii have taken care of her mother last night, and must have not slept the entire evening. Even though Jeong-ii has no recollection of her, she was however, still close to her, and this made her a bit suspicious that Jeong-ii’s memories as Hae Ryeong were not completely erased. She has for many times carefully tested Jeong-ii, but she didn’t have any evidence that could prove that Jeong-ii still had her memories. It was a good thing that in the one month since returning to the Yeong Sang estate, Jeong-ii has been clever and sensible, and has been handy in many situations, allowing for her to be at ease with taking care of her mother.
