“I’ll see you later, Baek.”

A small smile tugs on Jongdae’s lips as he waits for Chanyeol who is sending his best friend to his class. He watches Chanyeol envelope Baekhyun in his arms and pat the shorter boy’s head and couldn’t help but laugh when Baekhyun pouts after Chanyeol reminds him about things for today—his soccer practice at 4 p.m, to eat the vegetables in his lunch meal, and not to sleep during Mr. Wu’s lecture. Baekhyun stomps on Chanyeol’s left foot before sticking his tongue out and running off to his class.

“Let’s go!” Chanyeol excitedly says, throwing an arm over Jongdae’s neck. The pain on his foot is definitely forgotten.

“Chanyeol, why is Baekhyun not here having lunch with you?” Luhan pops a grape into his mouth. They’re in the cafeteria along with the other hungry students. “Isn’t he your best friend?”

Chanyeol casually sips on his espresso. “He’s probably in the library with Kris or has lunch with his classmates.”

“Rumor has it Baekhyun has a crush on Kris. Is that right, Yeol?” Yixing asks, face still not showing much interest. He doesn’t even react when Jongin steals his fries a second later.

Before Chanyeol can answer, Kyungsoo beats him to it. “I often see Baekhyun hyung giggle whenever he’s around Kris hyung and I’ve seen how caring Kris hyung is to Baekhyun hyung. They look good together, really.”

Luhan leans closer to Chanyeol and pats his shoulder. “Be strong, Chanyeol. It’s time to let Baekhyun go and hand him over to Kris.”

“But isn’t Baekhyun hyung close with that Chinese boy?” Jongin tilts his head to the side and furrows his forehead, thinking. “Ziti? Zato?”

“Zitao, you dumb,” Kyungsoo corrects, hitting Jongin’s head with a spoon.

Chanyeol only responds by humming and nodding his head, not saying anything. Jongdae, who is sitting across the giant, can only smirk upon hearing what Chanyeol and his classmates have just said. You guys just don’t know.
