Distraction
Two Moons And A Werewolf
You ended up sitting on the same branch of the tallest pine tree with Kai. It has the clearest and fullest view of the clearing, giving you a blow by blow account of what’s happening on the ground. Problem is, it was too dark for a pair of human eyes to see the fleeting movements of both werewolves and Forces. It’s like they were on fast forward that even if you squint or focus, nothing made sense.
With that, you made use of the person right next to you. “Kai! I can’t see a damn thing! I need you to be my eyes! What do you see?”
As he narrowed his eyes, he enumerated everything in detail. “Baekhyun hyung, is right there!” he pointed on your left. “He’s hiding safely behind a tree trunk but injured pretty bad… Uhmmm… Chen hyung just passed him being chased!”
“Okay… What else?” you asked.
Kai shifted his head to the right. “There’s Tao! He just killed a wolf! Nice!”
“Good job! How many are left?” you added.
“Wait…” his eyes turned into slits at every direction. “One… Two… Three…” he counted. “Nine! That’s all!”
“Cool! Where’s Kris and Luhan? How ‘bout Bang?”
As he look around, you thought of your own strategy. The full moon shining so brightly above the clearing was the only place visible to you. ‘! I gotta get those wolves back in the middle!’
“Sehee-ah! Kris hyung is with Baekhyun hyung, he’s helping him!” Kai said and suddenly choked. “Oh no! L-Luhan hyung got bitten!”
“What???” your world came crashing down.
As much as you want to crawl or jump to your husband, you can’t. It’s far too much of a risk. For all you know the wolves had already smelled your presence.
“What are we gonna do?” Kai started to panic.
“Hey…” you grab hold of his trembling shoulders. “Calm down… I need you to relax, okay? We can do this!”
He closed his eyes for a bit, took a deep breath and nodded. “Got it! Now what?”
“Is Luhan alone by himself?” you asked.
“Neh!” he affirmed.
“Okay! First, go get Tao over here! Now!” you ordered.
Kai vanished in an instant and came back with Tao. He sat beside you while Kai climbed at a branch above you. “What the hell are you doing here? Are you crazy?"
“I’ll explain later!” you then looked up. “Kai! Take LuLu and Baek home, then get back here ASAP!”
“Got it!” he disappeared once again.
Tao worriedly watch on the side while your eyes were burrowed on the clearing. He saw how much you wanted to be there and later surrendered. ‘I swear! Seri and her sister will be the death of us one day! Aish!’
“Tao!” you called and he snapped back. “Where’s Bang?”
“Errmmm…” he looked around. “There! 3 o’clock! He just killed a wolf!”
“Yeah! That’s my man!” you smirked. “That leaves us with eight!”
“We’re still outnumbered… 8 plus 2 traitors against 5?” he smirked. “But I don’t give a ! All I can think right now is kill Taemin and Minho! Those scumbags will never get out of here alive!”
“Yah!” you held his shaking fist. “Revenge is a dish best served cold. Their winning streak just came to an end!”
Tao blew out an air and his eyes intensified. “What’s the plan?” he sneered.
“Give me your sword!” you opened a palm.
“W-Wae?” he raised an eyebrow.
“Just give it to me, damn it!” you demanded.
Tao hesitated to hand you his weapon but he still followed your order. He removed it from the sheath, and as you gripped the hilt, you felt powerful, almost untouchable.
His eyes grew big when you lowered the blade on your wrist. “Yah… Yah… YAH!!! What’re you doing?”
“We need to get those bastards out in the open!” then you sliced yourself. “Ssshhhiiitttt!”
Feeling the cold blade, cutting through your skin left a mix of sting and burn. You felt dizzy at the smell of iron and Tao snatched the sword. After letting enough blood ooze on your hoodie, you took it off and handed it to him. “Put this out there! G-Go!” you winced.
Not too far away, Minho picked up the very familiar scent. “S-Sehee?”
Taemin came to his side, baffled and frightened. “Hyung! Eotteokke? She can’t be here! They will hurt her!”
Minho grabbed Taemin’s shoulders and ducked behind a mass of bamboos. “We will continue with the plan! Let’s get your sister first, and then Sehee out of here!”
“Okay!” he replied.
But before they can even react, the rabid werewolves came sprinting back to the clearing. ‘YAAAHHH!!!’ Where are you going???’ Taemin stood up.
No one replied since the fresh scent of human blood was too hard to resist. It’s like sweet perfume teasing their nostrils and home cooked meal inviting their taste buds.
On their opposite sides, Chen, Kris and Yongguk noticed the werewolves scrambled away from them. As he looked around, Kris caught a glimpse of a shimmering blade behind a thick foliage. “Didi? What are you doing up there?”
While the enemy was distracted, Kris flew towards a pine tree. What he expected to see their maknae caught him by surprise. He floated as you sit on a branch with a piece of cloth wrapped around your wrist with a smudge of blood. Kai was also back on a higher branch. “Oh hell no Sehee! Don’t tell me it was you who thought of that?” he pointed at a pack of werewolves fighting over a bloody hoodie in the middle of the vast field.
“Sorry babe… I have to…” your lips curled down.
“Aish! Whatever Sehee! You are so ed up!” he raged.
Kris was noticeably angry. One thing he always hated about you is when your thick skull takes over and won’t listen to simple instructions.
Chen and Yongguk apparently saw Kris flying and followed him. They ended up climbing the same tree and saw the group.
“In what part of “STAY!” didn’t you understand?” Yongguk fumed. “What’s wrong with you Sehee?”
“Miahnae… I just wanted to help…” you pouted.
“Hyung… Give her a break…” Kai spoke. “You gotta admit, if it weren’t for her, we wouldn’t have this chance of getting back at those bastards.” he pointed.
“Whatever!” Kris and Yongguk scowled. “We’ll continue this at home!” BAP's leader added. “And stay here!” he warned. “For sake Sehee! Listen this time!”
“Neehhhh…” you pouted.
