When Trouble Walked In [Hiatus]
Minah stared at the 12 pregnancy tests in front of her. All of them were positive. Tears were blinding her vision as she gathered them up. It had been a whole month since the incident happened. She had waited that long to wait to take the pregnancy tests to make sure that she truly was pregnant. As always, Sehun wasn’t home. He was out again and she didn’t want to tell their parents alone.
Minah placed the pregnancy tests under the sink before walking out of the room. She asked the driver to drop her off somewhere to distract her. She ended up going to Myeongdong with all the people and shops. She was stumbling through a crowd of people when something caught her eye.
“Hey!” smiled Jongsuk, waving at her.
She just stood there, dumbstruck. “H-Hi.” she responded.
“I haven’t seen you in a while. How have you been?” asked Jongsuk, as he approached her.
“O-OK.” she replied.
“You look tired and stressed.” commented Jongsuk, as he reached out to touch her hair. He helped it push it back to expose her face. “You look skinnier…. Have you been eating at all?”
Minah didn’t answer and he frowned. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her in a random direction. They went to a tonkatsu restaurant. Jongsuk ordered two plates for the both of them and he tried to talk to her more about what went on within the last month, but she didn’t want to say anything.
“Minah, eat.” said Jongsuk, making her snap out of her thoughts.
She didn’t even realize that the food was already there. She touched her utensils and dug into the food. She chewed on a piece of the tonkatsu and smiled, softly. The taste of the food was delicious and she wanted more. She didn’t feel like eating breakfast or lunch, but after walking for so long the food must had been necessary.
“I’m glad to see you smiling.” said Jongsuk, making her look up at him. “You’re adorable.” He leaned across the table and picked a rice grain off the corner of her lips. He laughed and popped it in his mouth. “I missed seeing you at school.”
Minah swallowed hard, as she set her utensils down. “I’m pregnant.” she said, almost whispering.
Jongsuk’s eyes became wide and swallowed, making his adam’s apple bob up and down. “W-When did it happen?” he asked.
“About a month ago.” replied Minah.
“Does Sehun know?” he questioned.
“Yeah, he does… He was the one that forgot the .” she answered. “It was an accident.”
“Does your parents know?” he questioned.
“No.” she answered.
Jongsuk nodded his head as he leaned back in his chair, letting out a long sigh. “I see.” he said, softly. “What do you plan to do now?”
“Keep it.” said Minah.
“How are you going to raise this child with your husband doing what he is doing?” asked Jongsuk.
Minah’s eyes started to tear up. “I-I don’t know.” she replied.
Jongsuk leaned back onto the table. “If you ever need me, I’ll be there to help you.” he offered, as he patted her hand. “Eat up. Your baby needs the nutrition.”
Krystal was furious. She couldn’t believe it that Sehun actually got her pregnant. She was angry that he was careless, but the most upsetting and blood-boiling thing was that he didn’t want her to have an abortion. Krystal let out a long breath as she stared at the vase of flowers that he had sent earlier that day. She frowned as she grabbed it and flung it straight at the ground. She could hear her older sister, Jessica, come running through her bedroom door at the noise.
Jessica let out a frustrated sigh. “What the hell, Krystal?!” she asked.
“Go away!!” screamed the younger sister.
“Why are you mad?” asked Jessica, making a face. “Did something happened between you and Sehun? Is that why he hasn’t been here for a few days and sent you flowers?”
“SHUT UP, JESSICA!!” screamed Krystal, as she tried to push Jessica out of her room when she let out an wince.
“Why weren’t you more careful, Krystal?” asked the older sister, worried, and the girl just snorted.
She looked at her foot and realized that she stepped on a piece of the broken glass vase. I hate you, Oh Sehun, she thought as she stared at the oozing blood on the hardwood floor. Jessica quickly left to grab the first aid kit and Krystal limped over to her vanity mirror.
The thought of Sehun with that other woman was driving her crazy. Just thinking of him, asking her to eat, sleep, or take walks, and more for their child or whatever it is now made her want to crush everything in her path. When he told her the other day that he was talking to her stomach as if it was born made her wanted to punch him across the face. Perhaps their argument over that made him stayed away. He haven’t came to see her in days already.
Krystal swallowed hard, as she tried to contain her anger.
It wasn’t fair. Krystal was there first before that other girl so why should she be the one that married him. Why did Mr. Oh have to make Sehun marry her in place of Sangchul? Why did he have to get her pregnant? Krystal let out a frustrated scream. It was all wrong and unjust.
