SinB twiddled her utensils as she sat at the dinner table, holding a fork in her hand, she tapped the end of it on the table rhythmically to cure her boredom, waiting for Tiffany to bring out the food.

"Who's going to eat my food today?"

A bunch of the other kids looked away and Tiffany pouted, SinB watched the others curiously. Why weren't they cheering for food?

"SinB yah, you're willing to eat my food?"

"Why are you making it seem like you're about to poison me with a poisoned apple? I'm not Aurora." (Sleeping beauty ref.)

Food was food, that's all that mattered to the maknae at the table. A older boy whispered to her quietly.

"Yah, you'll get stomachaches after eating her food."

SinB watched amusedly as Tiffany bopped his head lightly.

"Yah, if you don't want to eat it, then don't eat it and wait for Taetae to finish cooking."

Being served a small bowl with what looked like fish and rice, SinB grinned as soon as it was in her reach, she wasn't particularly tall enough for the table and their chair. Hearing the door slide open, SinB turned to look, spotting Jessica who looked around the room before leaving again.

"Is Jessica-ssi not eating with us?"

"SinB. What did I tell you about calling with honorifics? Call her unnie."

SinB pouted, it wasn't like they were close enough.

"But-"

"No buts, we're all family here."

"Fine....is Jessica unnie going to eat with us?"

"Yes I am squirt, now hang on my arm for a sec."

Jessica's arm was in front of SinB, she had instructed the child to hang on it? Reluctantly, SinB put her arms over Jessica's arm, letting the adult lift her up a bit.

"Yah, you're hella light wha-"

"LANGUAGE JUNG."

"Sorry. Sorry. You're super underweight what did they feed you?"

Jessica shot Tiffany a glare before setting SinB back down, noticing the difference in height, she looked under her. Jessica had brought her a shoe box to sit on.

"Huh?"

"What should you say SinB yah?"

"Th-thank you?"

Jessica just made a noncomittal grunt and sat down in her seat, further down their dining table, pulling out her phone.

"When are you going back to your house Sica?"

"Uhh soon, I'm running out of vacation days at work too. I guess I should go back from my mini strike. Don't want me here Tiff?"

SinB poked her fish curiously, she had never seen such a weird colored fish before, not that she had eaten much fish before anyways. Taking a small bite, she hummed as she chewed, it tasted better than her mother's cooking at least. Happily eating and making a mess as she swung her legs and banged her hands on the table in small expressions of happiness, Jessica looked over as it caught her attention.

"YAH!"

SinB was surprised, dropping her fork on the table as Jessica got out of her chair.

"HWANG MI YOUNG!"

"What?! Don't call me that!"

"Are you trying to ruin her stomach?!"

Tiffany pouted as she ate her own food, it was fine. Wasn't it? Even Taeyeon was eating it after all. It wasn't because her salmon came out red right? Jessica took SinB's bowl and tossed it in the sink, moving to get a sandwich put together instead. Hearing a sniffle, she turned around to see why.

SinB was trying to hold in her tears as they welled up in the corner of her eyes, she wasn't upset about losing her food, nope. She wasn't gonna cry, her hands held into small fists as she tried to supress her sadness.

"Look! You made her cry!"

Tiffany got up and went around the table to pick up SinB, who found it harder to keep her tears in once in a warm embrace.

"I....Look kid, if you eat that monstrosity, you'll have a terrible stomachache."

"I told you so!"

"You shush, adults are talking."

The boy quieted instantly and turned back to his bowl of Taeyeon's cooking. Jessica's cold gaze was deadly. Turning back, Jessica took the bowl of Tiffany's cooking. Looking back at the crying baby, she sighed and scraped the fish off the top, the rice was still fine, it was Taeyeon who put it in the cooker after all. Opening another cupboard, she took out a small can of dried seasoning for rice. It had bits of dried salmon and seaweed, as well as sesame seeds and other flavored bits. Putting a generous amount, she put the bowl back in front of SinB's seat before going to her seat again.

Tiffany patted SinB's back, telling her softly to look at her food. Seeing her bowl back, SinB looked to see the person who took it from her, looking at the wall instead.

"You know, sometimes, just sometimes, Sica acts kind of like you."

"Like me?"

"A tsundere."

"Huh?"

"She might not look it, but she cares a lot."

SinB was now seated back at her shoe box on a chair. The noisy boy from the other table called her name again.

"You should thank Sica mama, she saved your stomach."

"Hey, theres that again. Why does Tiffany unnie make me call her unnie and call Jessica with unnie but she refered to Taeyeon unnie as Taetae and Taeng mama and you call Jessica unnie as Sica mama?"

She was genuinely confused, why would she call an oppa's mom, her unnie? And why, in particular, did Taeyeon unnie call Tiffany unnie, Fany ah, but Jessica unnie never called her that? Jessica called Tiffany by Tiff.

Taeyeon who was still sorry about scaring SinB, tried to explain.

"Uhhhh well, if you want to call us mom, that's fine, I don't know why Fany wants you to call her unnie, since technically she's already the age to be called an auntie."

"YAH! YOU'RE THE SAME AGE!"

SinB just stared at them as she dug her fork back into her food, but not yet eating. Was this family? Tiffany had said that they were family inside this house. Is this was family dinners were supposed to be? Stealing food, laughing at each other's food, teasing each other about age? She looked to Jessica, wanting to ask a question, but Jessica looked sad. Following her line of sight, she reached Tiffany and Taeyeon, who were almost play fighting, throwing childish slaps at each other's arms.

"Sica mama?"

Snapping out of it, she answered and looked over at whoever called her, her eyes landing on SinB. It oddly felt right, to be called mama, she usually yelled at the boys who called her that. SinB just looked innocently up at Jessica.

"Are you okay Jessica unnie?"

"Ah- Yes, I'm fine."

"Are you going to eat?"

"Yea, I am."

She got up and went back to the kitchen, unnerved.

hohohoho also, hint hint, Yerin's arc is coming back after this. Damn, this is the first time I've successfully stuck to a storyline :D I feel proud. Well, I'm not proud of my typos and gramatical errors, but I'm lazy :P
