It's been almost 2 weeks since Mina called her parents, and her mom is supposed to be visiting today. Since the day of the call, Mina has been doing nothing but work, trying to distract herself from her mother's upcoming visit, and from life in general, she doesnt even want to see Chaeyoung. Mina has been pushing Chaeyoung away recently, Chaeyoung has trying to visit Mina everyday, not wanting her to be alone, but Mina had been ignoring her, being colder to her than when they first met.

Mina was now hard at work, when suddenly her doorbell rang, Mina hesitated before opening the door. There she stood, Mina's mom, looking at her daughter, the last time they saw in each other in person was when Mina go disowned, she was 15 then, and it's been a whole 5 years. 

"Come in" Mina said, her voice cold, not wanting to appear weak infront of her mother

"So Mina... how've you been doing" Mina's mother said, her expression unreadable

"I've been better" Mina replied, her voie bitter. 

Hearing that broke Mina's mothers heart, she didn't think that her daughter would be this broken. It was the first time she's seen Mina so bitter and cold, it honestly scared her a little.

"Have you been taking care of yourself?" Mina's mother asked

"I don't really have anyone else, so yes" Mina coldly stated, making her mother wince internally at how cold her daughter had become

"Mina, what happened to you" Mina's mother said, placing her hand on her daughters face

"I accepted who I was and got disowned" Mina said, pulling away form her mothers touch

"Mina don't be like this"

"Why shouldn't I? You guys disowned me"

"I didn't want that, it was your father"

"What do you mean?" Mina turned to face her mother, her voice low but filled with anger

"I did't want to kick you out Mina, I don't quite understand you, but I still love you"

When Mina heard that, she was immediately filled with hate, she felt betrayed that her own mother didn't help her

"Than why didn't you try to defend me" Mina snapped. Mina's mother just stood there, silent

"Why. Mom"

"Because I was scared to stand up to your father, he's my husba-"

"I'M YOUR DAUGHTER MOM, YOUR OWN FLESH AND BLOOD" Mina interrupted
