“Oh!” Minhyuk blinked, “didn’t realize I had a roommate.” He’d opened his door to find a young man on one side of the room, unpacking his things.

“Apparently there was a pipe that burst this morning,” the man explained, “messed up some of the rooms.”

“That ,” Minhyuk winced, giving the other a sympathetic pat on the shoulder, “do you know how long it will take to fix everything?”

“Should only take a few days,” the man shrugged, “honestly, I’m thankful I’m not one of those people who’d already moved in.”

“Yeah,” Minhyuk nodded, “lucky you.”

“Oh!” the man gasped, “I didn’t introduce myself, I’m Sungjae. Yook Sungjae.”

“Lee Minhyuk,” Minhyuk smiled, offering his hand, “nice to meet you.”

“You’re a robot like me?” Sungjae questioned after taking the offered hand, “I almost couldn’t tell.”

“You’re a robot, too?” Minhyuk blinked, “I couldn’t tell at all!”

“Donggeun said the same thing,” Sungjae sighed.

“Hey,” Minhyuk frowned, “don’t look so down about it. That’s an awesome advantage to have.”

“I guess,” Sungjae sighed again, “I just…..back home, some of the others would give me a lot of about it. Like, they thought less of me for being more human-like.”

“Oh,” Minhyuk frowned, “I’ve heard that stuff like that happens, but…..” he decided to change the subject, “so, who’s Donggeun?”

“He’s a robot like us,” Sungjae explained, smiling slightly, “I met him the day of the meeting. He’s kind of cold at first, but it’s just a defensive thing.”

“Maybe we can all do something together later,” Minhyuk suggested.

“That would be awesome,” Sungjae grinned, “come on, I’ll introduce you to Donggeun now and we can all go out for lunch together.”

“Alright,” Minhyuk nodded, happy that Sungjae seemed to have been cheered up.
