Misunderstood Maknaes~Chapter 16~
Could You Turn Off Your Cell Phone
“Hey, babe.” Jungkook greeted, facing the door to close it carefully behind him, knowing that now everyone else in the house was going to bed.
Turning to look at Seohyun, he saw she had covered up her eyes upon hearing his voice, which was because she was expecting him to be half again.
Seohyun had just finished preparing a makeshift bed on the floor for her or Jungkook. She wasn’t sure if the guest should sleep on the floor, or if she should. She would probably feel sick the morning afterwards if she slept uncomfortably on the floor, but if she let Jungkook then she’d feel guilty for putting that on him.
Noticing that that Seohyun was vulnerable, Jungkook in the spirit of the moment, firmly grabbed the sides of her waist, causing her to fidget and quickly jump out of his hold, squealing a bit.
Seohyun saw that Jungkook found the scene funny, however she did not. “That’s not nice!” Seohyun stated pouting after she discovered he was the culprit, crossing her arms when his laughing lasted longer than she expected..
Seeing that Seohyun took his act so seriously, Jungkook stopped laughing in case he pushed her over the edge. “Sorry, babe,” Jungkook apologised, rubbing the back of his neck when he didn’t get a response. “Want to do something fun?” he asked, smirking evilly.
Seohyun’s face lit up. She hadn’t had a lot of fun today; it had been a really bad day actually. She hadn’t done her section for the project, Naeun was still refusing to communicate, and she found out that Taehyung is dating someone. Maybe the two of them could watch Keroro together?!
“Yay! Sure!” Seohyun answered cheerfully, ignoring what Jungkook had done before as she held up her little in excitement.
“OK, it’s called doctor and nurse-“
“Let’s watch TV!” Seohyun exclaimed, not really caring what Jungkook had said.
Before he knew it, Seohyun had put on an episode of what looked like Keroro. She hastily dragged Jungkook by the wrist to sit on the bottom end of the bed with her, which he didn’t resist. While Seohyun was engrossed in one of the most childish TV shows in Korea, Jungkook was too busy staring at Seohyun. The way she laughed at the smallest of things made him feel fuzzy for some reason.
“Are you alright?” Seohyun asked. Jungkook didn’t realise she had caught him staring at her.
Jungkook nodded quickly. “Yeah, I’m fine,” he assured her. “Are you?” he asked, putting his hand on her thigh smoothly and moving it a little to far up.
Seohyun let out another squeal at the sudden contact. That was a noise Jungkook could get used to. “I’m fine… This episode gets boring now.” Seohyun told Jungkook, turning off the TV with the remote.
She had seen all the episodes several times. Seohyun then stood up, making Jungkook internally hit himself for not making a move earlier. He could still fix it though.
“What should we do now?” Jungkook asked as ily as possible.
“I’m going to sleep.” Seohyun answered bluntly, not noticing that Jungkook was trying to hint at something ual.
Jungkook didn’t understand this girl. Was she oblivious to everything? Were his hints not good enough? Did that make out session in the mall mean nothing?
He then checked the clock. “It’s way too early!” he pointed out. Who went to be before midnight at least? Seo Joohyun apparently.
Seohyun couldn’t care about what Jungkook had said. Seohyun often went to bed at around 9 so that she could get her beauty sleep and wake up early enough to read. Her friends thought she was weird for doi
