~Chapter 15~

Baby Steps

Seohyun was thrown into the deep end. Noticing Jungkook’s figure caught her at a bad time. Jungkook was then hovering above her, and his body was exposed. Yoona turned back to her monitor upon hearing that familiar voice as her eyes widened. Once Seohyun came back to reality, she quickly shut her laptop lid a bit too hard, causing it to slam, hopefully preventing Yoona from being able to tell what was behind her.

Jungkook jumped a bit when Seohyun shut the lid. “Wow, are you OK?” Jungkook asked, with his hand on Seohyun’s shoulders to calm her down since she seemed tense.

Looking over so that he was able to see Seohyun’s face, her cheeks were flushed red and she was clearly uncomfortable. Jungkook wasn’t sure why though; maybe she was watching Keroro or something? Nobody would expect a girl as academic as Seohyun to watch stuff like that, so Jungkook catching her must have been embarrassing if that was the case.

“What’s up? Are you cheating on me with someone on the Internet?” Jungkook asked jokingly, thinking that she might have been talking to a guy or something. In actual fact, Jungkook didn’t see who Seohyun was even talking to since she closed the screen so fast, but he was very much wanting to know if Seohyun already had a boyfriend.

“N-no,” Seohyun stuttered. “Can you go and get some clothes on? I need to finish a project.”  Seohyun insisted, trying to get Jungkook away from her so that she could recover and adjust to the situation and leave her seat. She moved her head to try making eye contact, but her eyes were automatically focusing on the wall and blinking.

 “You should get changed first, your clothes are wet.” Jungkook mentioned after feeling that Seohyun’s clothes were clinging to her shoulders.

Seohyun managed to relax a bit as she stood up from her chair to go into her bathroom while Jungkook’s gaze followed her.  Jungkook’s eyebrows furrowed, wondering if Seohyun was doing something she shouldn’t have been. From experience he knew that he would react the same way when he was watching and his dad or mom walked in while he was trying to feel good. He was able to access sites like that after Jimin had told him a good proxy site, so they both visited the places often.

As she was about to enter, Jungkook side stepped and blocked her path. “Were you watching naughty videos, babe?” he asked, restraining a laugh.

Trying to keep eye contact and not exploring Jungkook’s body properly, Seohyun answered him rather hysterically. “No!”

Jungkook raised his eyebrows, not fully believing what Seohyun said. “Tell the truth, Joohyun, I won’t tell your mom.”

Seohyun was almost offended. She would never do anything as dirty as that. “I wasn’t! I need to get changed so please let me through.” Seohyun defended, accidently looking down to see Jungkook’s smooth, white abs, glistening with droplets of water. Admiring them for a bit too long and not realising it.

Noticing that Seohyun eyes widened after looking down, Jungkook followed her eyes to see what she was so surprised about. Realising, he couldn’t help but snigger. “Have you never seen a guy shirtless before?”

Seohyun immediately met his eyes, “I’m sorry!” she almost pleaded, thinking that doing such a thing was offensive, covering her eyes with her palms.

Seohyun wasn’t stupid, but she had no experience with guys whatsoever. The only guy friends she had at University were Do Kyungsoo who would often lend her his notes since they were much better than hers, Taehyung, and Jin... sort of. She had seen Jeon Jungkook without a shirt on before though. Seohyun just wasn’t used to seeing a boy half this close to her, and because his body was well-built, as much as Seohyun hated to admit it, she couldn’t help but stare. The reason she apologised was because she thought that she would be offended if a guy stared at her body, so surely it worked the other way round.

Jungkook was confused at her response but smirked anyway. “It’s fine, I know I’m hot.” Jungkook said wittily, biting his lip as he examined Seohyun’s physique, which was clearly outlined by her wet clothes, turning him on. He then took Seohyun’s hands and brought them down from her face, not letting them go though.

Why was Seohyun getting so nervous talking to him? She was talking to her sister’s ex. If anything, she should be treating him as her younger brother or something like that, not falling head-over-heels for his body. He was in a gang too, and as Sooyoung had reminded her when Seohyun started developing feelings for Jin, ‘never be affiliated with ugly boys in gangs’… Jungkook didn’t see
