Not Just Any Replacement
Narrator’s POV
Soomin looked away as Mrs. Jung ushered the couple.
“Soo, this is Yuru, Yuru this is Soomin, she’s a good friend of mine.” Yunho said.
Yuru shook her hand.
“I’ve always seen you on magazines, but you look more beautiful in person.” She smiled.
“She speaks Korean well.” Mrs. Jung said. Soomin could only nod.
“Oppa~”
“Yuru, do you mind if I speak to Soomin for a while?”
Soomin’s POV
“What is it oppa?”
“What is it oppa? Can’t you say anything else, Soomin?”
I looked away.
“Congratulations.”
He ran his fingers through his hair.
I can’t do this. I don’t know what to do. He’s getting engaged, what does he expect me to say?!
“Ask me not to do it. Tell me to not marry her.”
“Oppa…what are you~”
“Hoenstly, I don’t want to marry her Soo, it’s my parents’ wishes.”
“You can’t disappoint them, oppa. You’re the only son.” I replied.
Why does it hurt so much?
I swallowed. His eyes were looking directly at me.
“Saranghae, Shim Soomin, I…can’t~”
“Yunho-ssi? It’s time for the toast!”
Yuru was looking at us. I broke away from his grip.
“I…need to go, oppa. I’ll see…you soon.”
“I’m leaving for China tomorrow for the engagement.”
Then I felt him pull me towards him and he planted his lips on mine.
Soon, he was gone.
Narrator’s POV
Soomin finally got inside the car. She felt tears fall from her eyes.
She didn’t know why she was hurting this much.
But seeing him with another girl, it bothered her. It made her feel….angry.
She felt possessive of him already, but she couldn’t do anything.
He was engaged to her. That was final.
Yunho watched as the white Audi speed out of the Jung mansion. He gripped on the metal railings.
“Yunho~”
“Oh, Jaehee.” He looked at her.
“What is happening?”
“She doesn’t love me back. It’s useless going after her. I have to let her go. She can’t even ask me not to leave.”
Jaehee bit her lip.
She knows it wasn’t like that. That was not the case; Soomin just doesn’t realize how much she needs Yunho.
“Soomin disappeared at the party.” Changmin stated. Jaehee felt his chest on her back as he hugged her.
“You know your sister well, right?”
“Of course, and I know where this is going. I admit, Soomin does like him.”
Jaehee smiled and turned to him.
“I was right.” She chuckled. Changmin rolled his eyes and kissed her cheek.
Jaehee placed her arms around him.
“One thing I was wrong about though.” She stated. Changmin blinked at her.
“Hating you, that was wrong.” She smiled as she kissed him.
