Not Just Any Replacement

Narrator’s POV

After eating, Changmin went out of his room and decided to walk around the beach, since they were staying at a coastal hotel; the beach was an easy access to the guests.

He walked out of the building and as soon as he stepped he could smell the salty air. He smiled a little and continued to walk.

Then he saw a familiar figure.

“Jaehee.” He muttered, then he saw the man with her.

“That must be him.” He nodded.

He stopped on his tracks when he saw Yoochun kiss her. He looked away.

He was about to turn away but,

“It’s you.”

He looked at Jaehee, then he had no choice but to walk to her.

“You’re still out.” He nodded. Jaehee shrugged.

“Chun, this is Shim Changmin.”

Yoochun nodded and shook his hand. Changmin didn’t say anything.

“Nice meeting you, man.”

“Same here.” Changmin nodded.

“Let’s go.” Jaehee pulled Chun away and left Changmin.

Changmin shook his head.

“I need a drink.” He muttered.

Jaejoong flexed his neck as he walked out of the conference room. A few hours ago he had to take an emergency flight to their office at Japan.

It was about the concert that was to be held at Tokyo Dome.

He was driving back to their family penthouse when his phone rang.

“Changmin-ah? How’s your honey~”

“Is this Mister Jaejoong?” A male voice asked in Japanese.

Jaejoong blinked.

“Yes, who are you?”

“We have a customer here, this is his phone, he seems to be drunk.”

Jaehee’s POV

I arrived at the suite and found it empty.

Huh. He must have went out. I shook my head as I went in my room.

Come to think, it’s been a long time since I last spoke to him.

I shook my head.

I already forgot about you, Shim Changmin.

All the pain you caused me, it’s gone.

After taking a shower, I heard my phone vibrate.

“Oh, oppa?”

My manager was calling.

“I cancelled your schedule~”

“Wae?”

“You’re on a honeymoon, Jaehee.”

“But~”

“I know what happened, don’t try to reason with me, people will suspect you if you go to the shoot.” He replied.

“More time to spend with Yoochun then.”

“He’s at Japan too?!”

“Bye oppa!”

“Ya, Kang Jaehee, you~”

I placed the phone down.

Narrator’s POV

Jaejoong sighed as he found his younger cousin inside the bar. He paid the waiter and started helping him up.

“Hyung….?”

“It’s me, why did you drink so much?” Jaejoong said as they reached his car. He opened the door and helped Changmin to the seat.

“Jaehee…..she hates me….”

Jaejoong’s eyes furrowed.

“I don’t….know why…hyung…but she hates… me..totally.”

Jaejoong shook his head and got on the driver’s seat.

He knew that Changmin marrying Jaehee would be difficult but he didn’t expect for it turn out into a big mess.

And Changmin rarely drinks that much. It made him worry for his younger cousin.

Haejung blinked at her drunken in-law.

“Did you tell Jaehee?” She asked Jae.

“You think she would care?” Jaejoong sighed as he helped the younger male to the couch.

“She still…hates him?”

Jaejoong could only nod.

“I don’t even know why.” Jaejoong exhaled and removed Changmin’s shoes.

“I’ve never seen him this down.”

Jaehee didn’t even bother look for her husband as she woke up. She just ate and changed into an orange maxi dress.

On her way to the elevator she bumped into Changmin.

Changmin looked at her.

“I stayed over at Jae~”

“I don’t care.” She shook her head as she slipped in the machine.

“I don’t like this.” Jaejoong nodded as they got in the Kims’ pirvate jet.

“What?” Haejung asked.

“Changmin being like that. It never happened before.”

Haejung nodded.

“Maybe it’s a good thing Soo doesn’t know.” He nodded.

“She has the best temper.” Haejung chuckled.

Changmin stepped out of the shower. He put on a pair of chinos and a light sweater. He got his iPad and checked his schedule. His brows furrowed as he saw an email from his secretary.

“I have to get back.” He muttered.

He stood up and went out to look for Jaehee.

Jaehee’s POV

Yoochun and I were at the poolside when I saw Changmin coming.

“What does he want?” I muttered.

“Jaehee, I have something to tell you.” He started.

“Say it here.”

He looked at Yoochun briefly.

“I have to get back to Seoul, we need to pa~”

“We? I’m staying here.” I told him.

“But~”

“You do what you want to do, I do what I want to do.” I shrugged.

“What if people~”

“Just go Changmin. I don’t care.” I looked at him. He gave me a nod and left.

“Why do you hate him so much? He seems nice.” Yoochun nodded.

I just shook my head at him.
