Key sits on the bed nervously. He watches Minho pull off his shirt and put on a looser fitting one.

Minho can read the anxiety on Kibum’s face, “I can sleep on the floor.”

Key shakes his head shyly, “no, sleep here. I want, I want you to sleep here.” The ghost laughs sweetly making Kibum blush. Key can’t remember the last time he’s had another person in his bed. It doesn’t matter if that person is a ghost. Kibum feeling this nervous reminds him of his first time. It reminds him of the same emotions he felt. The phantasm crawls onto the bed slowly, never breaking eye contact with Key. Minho lies down, keeping his distance.

Kibum snuggles up to him anyway, “thank you.”

Minho bites his lip tensely, “no problem.” He clears his throat, “I’d rather you didn’t hug me.”

Key pouts, “Why?” Minho turns his head away from Kibum. Key smiles while looking down bashfully. He starts to cackle, “I guess you’re also excited about sleeping over.”

Minho blushed, “please shut up.”

Kibum continues to giggle, “I think my sheets might be haunted by a tiny man.” Minho groans at the joke. Key continues to stare at Minho’s lower half, “I’m mistaken he’s not a tiny man at all. We should be very frightened.”

Minho purses his lips, “how am I already regretting this?” Minho tries to shift away from Key.

Kibum continues to snicker. He gasps, “It’s following you! It wants you!” Minho stops moving, he knows he can’t win.

The demon sighs, “go to sleep.”

Key sits up, terrified. His skin is moist with sweat. He can’t catch his breath, but reaches out aimlessly for the light. Kibum turns on the light to find Minho squinting at him. Minho rubs his eyes while watching Key cautiously. Key reaches out to Minho. He can feel his heart beating against his chest.

Minho blinks sleepily, “it’s ok. It was just a dream. Whatever it was.” Kibum keeps panting on the edge of tears. Minho can see that Key is only becoming more and more anxious. He begins to worry. Minho cradles Key’s face, “I’m touching you, Key. Breathe, I’m here. Imagine me touching you.” Kibum’s breathing becomes less erratic. Key takes a few more deep breaths. Kibum shuts his eyes trying to imagine his touch, “thank you.”

Minho sighs while letting go of his face, “no problem.” Minho yawns, “Did you remember your dream?”

Kibum pauses, then shakes his head, “no, just another bad feeling.”

Minho lies back down, “maybe next time.”
