Jonghyun Visits 2
I'm a Goner, Somebody Catch My Breath“So,” Jonghyun asks. Key sits on the floor silently rearranging his books. “Any improvement,” Jonghyun pushes. Kibum continues to ignore him. Jonghyun sighs and grabs Key’s book. It takes him a couple of minutes to read. He closes the book, “your last entry was lengthy.” Kibum scoffs while shaking his head and mouthing Jonghyun’s words to mock him. Jonghyun s his cuffs and rolls up his sleeves, “So you think you’re being haunted.”
Key slams a book against the floor, “I am being haunted!”
Jonghyun crosses his arms, “by whom?”
Kibum looks over his shoulder, “can’t you read?”
Jonghyun sits back in his chair, “yes I can. I want to hear you say his name.”
Key turns back around, “Why?”
Jonghyun looks up at the ceiling, “because I’ve visited you countless times and you’ve never once said his name. Who is haunting you Key?”
Key looks down, “I don’t know.”
“Who does he resemble,” Jonghyun prods.
Kibum’s expression harshens, “Minho.”
Jonghyun smiles gently, “very good. You’re doing very well Key. I’ll see you in a couple days.”
“Wait,” Key yells.
Jonghyun stops and looks at Kibum. He’s crying silently, his desperate eyes stare at Jonghyun.
“Please stay,” Kibum whimpers.
Jonghyun checks his watch, “I suppose I could stay for a little while.” Key sniffs, while wiping away tears. Jonghyun sits back down; Kibum walks over to him and sits on his lap. Key balls up and leans onto Jonghyun’s chest.
Kibum closes his eyes, “do you remember when we were younger and I couldn’t sleep.”
“Yes Key,” Jonghyun replies.
“Can you do what you always did,” Kibum whispers. Jonghyun sighs. He then places his hand over Key’s further ear. Jonghyun begins to hum gently, Kibum’s eyes become heavy.
Last post for the night. I just remembered my promise about the epilogue. ;-; sorry i couldn't keep my promise. It took me longer than expected to type up more of the epilogue and send it to chair. I'm not sure when she'll be able to post. I haven't really asked her about it either. We've been busy with discussions of resting face. The struggle.
