It is dark, Kibum can’t seem to find a semblance of light. He stumbles through darkness before hitting a wall. His weight suddenly shifts he’s no longer standing against the wall, he’s lying on top of it. His body is too heavy to stand. He crawls against the wall. He yelps when he hits another wall unexpectedly with his head. The wall sounds hollow. He smacks it with a hand, hearing it loosen with every hit. His hand bursts through, shining blinding light on him.

His weight shifts, he can feel his body begin to drop. He grabs at an edge of the walls he’s broken through. Fingers wrap around his wrist and pull him through the hole. Key’s placed on the cold white floor carefully. He doesn’t want to move. He pants, shaken by the experience. He can see shoes walk into his view. He doesn’t look for the owner. The figure kneels down, making him completely visible to Key.

“Are you all right?” Minho whispers. Kibum nods, his heart is still racing. Minho drags his body closer, “I’ll miss you…”

Key can see a dust forming around him. He turns to Minho. Minho’s eyes are shut, as if he were at piece with his fate. His body is fading and diminishing into the dust that’s floating away. Kibum tackles him, unwilling to allow him to fade away. Key smack into the floor hard as Minho disappears into puff of powder.

Key cries as he messily wipes the soot off his face. Footsteps emanate behind Kibum, he doesn’t want to turn around.

“Nevermore,” Jonghyun states coldly.

Kibum whips around, “What the is that supposed to mean.”

Jonghyun smiles, “nevermore.”

“Leave me alone!” Kibum screams.

“Nevermore,” the distorted voice caws.
