Minho paws at the minuscule ball of yarn, “what do you plan to make with this?”

Kibum smiles at him, “nothing, that’s not even enough for a mouse’s blanket. I’ll probably use it as scrap yarn. I need to ask Jonghyun for more.” Kibum glances at the pack of cards hiding under the coffee table. He gasps, “We should play!”

 Minho looks up from the ball of string, “Play? Play what?”

Key grabs the cartridge, “a game Jonghyun taught me.”

“Oh?” Minho takes the cards from Kibum.

Key watches him shuffle the card, “we each get five cards.” Minho deals the cards. Key drops a pair of Jacks. Minho mimics him, wordlessly tossing a pair of his own. Kibum studies his cards, “now ask me for a card.”

“Do you have any tens?” Minho asks lightly.

“No,” Kibum shakes his head, “go away.”

Minho begins to laugh, “What?”

Key laughs timorously, “It means pick up some more cards.”

Minho takes a card from the deck, “your turn?” Kibum watches him throw a pair of fours into the pile of face-up cards. Key flinches, I needed that card.

Kibum wiggles his nose, “do you have a king?”

Minho hands him a card, “do you have any nines?”

“Go away,” Kibum answers coldly.

“This game is mean,” Minho smiles awkwardly.

Key lies down, “I thought it was a strange game too.” Minho drops his last pair.

Minho pulls Kibum in with a pained grunt, “are you sure you’re playing it right?” Kibum lets his cards fall onto his chest.

Key looks up at him, “yes, it’s the way Jonghyun taught me. You’re really good by the way.”

Minho smirk at Key, “it was luck.” His smile fades, “do you feel comfortable here?”

“Yeah. Why, am I hurting you?” Kibum begins to sit up.

Minho stops Key, “no, I’m fine. I meant this place. Are you really comfortable here?”

Kibum lies back into Minho’s arms, “it’s my house, shouldn’t I?”

“Its just … doesn’t feel like a house. It’s too empty. There are no pictures. A lot of common house items are missing. You don’t find that strange?” Minho examines.

Key shifts, “Kind of…”

“It looks like a house, but it feels soulless. It almost feels like a hospital,” the ghost whispers as he looks around the living room.

Key crosses his arms, “you know you’re offending me right?”

Minho runs the distal phalanx of his index finger up Key’s cheek, “you shouldn’t be offended by what I say about this place.” Minho’s fingers gets dangerously close to Kibum’s left eye. Key shuts his left eye. Minho’s finger tips brush past Kibum’s eyelash. Key perks up. The poltergeist stares at him, “what’s wrong?”

Kibum blinks, while placing a hand on his own cheek, “I thought I felt something.”

“How strange,” the demon states insincerely. 

Hi lovlies. I've been having trouble with the last couple chapters. Sorry v.v I read the comments. I laughed when I read movelikeshinee's I'm glad we have some common ground with our forgetful behavior. Honestly i'm not sure. The story will end once I've given all my hints. Hopefully you guys don't figure me out by then. I have two endings, and both depend on what you guys tell me. 501404 Jonghyun has something to do with what? Explain please :3 I wanted to know if you guys mind that I reply in the footnotes. Would you rather I reply on the comments? 0.o I do it cause it helps me post faster. I have a tendency of procastinating as much as possible. Replying through the footnotes makes me post more consistantly. I apologize for any typoes. I'm pretty sleepy >.< I stayed up to write this chapter and the next. I lost a sub T^T I think I got another? I'm not really sure.
