BaekMi's POV

"BRING HER TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM!!" 

Just as we entered the hospital, umma bloody and carried by appa, every nurse that were standing by the entrance looked up in shock, but quickly got to action. As one had called a doctor, another was able to get a nearby rolling bed, laying umma down as I was holding my brother's hand tightly in fear. Quickly following after the nurses and doctors that were shouting and talking loudly, we were quickly stopped just as we were about to enter through some doors.

"Sorry, but you can't go in here. Please wait." she said as she slapped on some rubber gloves. Appa gritted his teeth, glaring at the nurse.

"THAT'S MY WIFE!! LET ME IN!" he demanded, but the nurse didn't seem fazed, as if she was used to it. 

"And this is my job. Letting you in might distract us from saving your wife. So sit down and wait." she said and put on a mask before closing the door just as a light bulb right over the door lit up red. Staring at the light bulb, I felt my heart hammering. Tugging on me lightly, Baekhyun oppa lead me to the seats and sat me down next to him. Shaking, I looked up at him and whispered, "Do you think umma will survive?"

"I know she will." he said, but he couldn't help but to look uncertain. 

"She better do. If not, you're next." appa hissed as he glared at me, his fists clenching so hard making the veins in his arms appear more. Looking up at my brother, I let tears fall as guilt ate me up slowly.

3 months later

'Water' umma spelled in my hand as she smiled, staring straight ahead with glassy, grey eyes. Biting my lips, I let go of her hand and turned to search for the glass of water. Finally finding it, I grabbed her hand and guided it to the glass. At the sight of her smiling, I couldn't help but to bite my lips as I felt them quivering.

A familiar double-knock was heard before the door was opened, and in came Dr. Son. Smiling at my brother who was doing his homework, he chuckled, "Alright, kids, you know what to do."

I nodded my head, getting off umma's bed before I grabbed oppa's outstretching hand and got out of the room as we always do every day. It was only umma's daily check, so there was no need to be worry. But why was my stomach telling me another thing?
