No one's POV: 

Expecting the incident to bubble on for a few days, Yixing was surprised that two days later, everyone had seem to have forgotten about the Kyungsoo incident and moved on to new things... well apart from Jongin... he was too busy nagging about his three weeks worth of detentions for sticking up for his friend... boys... 

For Yixing though, there was a more pressing matter at hand. Just before the ball arrived he came to the conclusion of something. This something he was sure he was not going to let himself get into just because everyone else had managed to fall into the trap. But, to his horror, it happened he figured out that;

He likes someone 

Not as in "Oh I like you let's be friends" but the like that means you get nervous whenever they're around, blush when their fingers grazed yours and stuttered when you're around them. Yep... to Yixing's horror, he was showing all the signs of this. 

He definitely liked someone 

But for this to be explained, we have to go back three weeks before the ball arrived. Around this time, letters had been given out to parents explaining that students in Yixing's year were being invited to a camping trip on Jeju Island, giving them time to relax before they began studying for their exams. In the weeks previous to that; Jongin had completed his three weeks worth of detentions with much nagging and whinning, Kyungsoo's crush on him was becoming more evident by the day... and yet Jongin failed to realise it and it was also the day that butterflies first started fluttering in Yixing's stomach; 

"Right class, today we're going to start our unit about the heart and lungs" Joonmyeon began, students walking in to find bags placed on their tables with something inside 
"What's in here?" a student asked, poking it, their eyes widening when they felt something squishy inside
"A heart" Joonmyeon replied and had to stop himself from laughing when a few students jumped out of their seats and away from the bags. 

"Why are you all acting like that? We're going to do disections today" Joonmyeon announced excitedly but not everyone looked as enthusiastic as he did 
"Right, to begin with I'm just going to teach you the basic structure so you know what to look for during the disection" he began and grinned when he heard some students groan 
"You'll be working in partners for this" he continued and signalled for everyone to find a partner. 

"Where's Kyungsoo?" Joonmyeon asked 
"On a school trip" Yixing replied moodily and looked around the room before his eyes landed on someone 
"Work with Sooyeon for today" he said and Yixing turned around to see a girl sitting in the corner scurry over to him, her face paling when she saw the bag in front of her. With Joonmyeon giving a quick overview on the structure of the heart and giving students the equipment they needed, they were left to do their disections. 

.....

"Are you alright?" Yixing asked turning to Sooyeon who shook her head 
"I don't like blood" she replied and Yixing frowned, turning to the bag to see that, indeed, there was a tiny amount of blood gathered at the bottom. Instantly, Yixing's hand shot in the air, he didn't want the poor girl fainting on him after all! 
"What's wrong?" he asked and Yixing pointed to a very pale Sooyeon who explained she didn't want to do it because the blood was making her feel sick. 

It was inevitable that Yixing was going to end up doing this by himself. Joonmyeon sent Sooyeon back to her table with a window open to let a breeze in. He was having fun though, it wasn't everyday you got to disect a heart on your own! Whilst everyone else was, let's face it shredding the hearts into pieces, Yixing was cutting his apart carefully and whatever he found, he laid out onto the side so he didn't lose it and could ask Joonmyeon about it later on. 

Sensing someone was watching him, Yixing looked up to find Joonmyun standing on the opposite side of the table, pretty close may I add, watching him. Well you can imagine how Yixing jumped before pouting 
"Sorry" was Joonmyeon response, laughing at Yixing's expression, Yixing feeling this weird fluttering in his stomach 
"So how are you finding this so far?" Joonmyeon asked and Yixing nodded.

"Pretty easy" he replied, pointing next to him 
"I found two valves and whatever animal this came from had to be unhealthy becaue of the fat around it" he added and Joonmyeon nodded before smilling 
"Well done, at least someone in here is actually doing the work I asked for" he said and walked away, Yixing was expecting the weird flutter in his stomach to go away... but it wouldn't!

By dinner that night, curiosity had gotten Yixing. The fluttering in his stomach didn't go away for another hour after that lesson and he wanted to know why his stomach was fluttering like that in the first place
"What does it mean when you feel something flutter in your stomach?" he asked
"Well" the headmaster's wife began 
"Usually it's when someone is really nervous about something and it's just nerves... is that what you mean?" she asked and Yixing shook his head.

"I-I heard some girls speaking earlier and one of them said she felt her stomach fluttering when she was around a guy" he lied, frowning, was she going to to believe that? 
"Ah yes... that my love is butterflies" she said 
"Butterflies?" Yixing asked 
"Ah yes" the headmaster said and turned to Yixing himself. 

"Supposedly when you like someone, you feel this little flutter in your stomach. People say you have butterflies in your stomach" he explained 
"And it doesn't go away?" Yixing asked 
"Depends on how strongly this girl you mentioned likes the boy she was talking about" the headmaster's wife replied and Yixing nodded before going back to his food. Bothered by something. 

The fluttering in his stomach earlier, that was not because he liked Joonmyeon... he was just scared because of how close Joonmyeon was when he was disecting the heart... right?

And so begins what I call Sulay development but, and this is like a teenie tiny spoiler thingy, it will be a while before anything actually happens. I'm not going to tell you when it'll happen but when it does and where I leave it... you'll probably be like :O :O :O
