Day Thirty

Err. I THINK it's Day Thirty... You can't even tell if the day changed or not in this place. The only reason I knew there was a change in date was because of that silver square. It showed an image of my room with the other Jaehyo sleeping on my bed. He woke up at around the same time I did and held up the mirror.

"Having fun in there?" he laughed.

I glared at him. "You're a bastard. Why am I in here? How did you get out there?"

"I'm only out here because of you."

"And why is it my fault?" I just realized something. I'm talking to myself, like, literally. Well, this is awkward.

"You care too much about your looks. It's quite funny actually." he laughed his evil laugh of his. "But thanks to you I get to roam free now instead of being trapped in that dark place. It was lonely being in there. And that Joon guy is annoying. He keeps singing about the letter Y for some reason."

I glared at this evil person. "How can I get back?"

Apparently my question was hilarious to him because he laughed uncontrollably. "Do you think I would really tell you that? I'm going to stay here forever. I like this life actually. It's much better than Alwaysland." I gaped at the evil man. "I'm going to go now. Toodles."

The screen-like thing I looked at changed back to a silver square. "That ." I growled at the silver square.

"Are you okay Jaehyo?" Joon's voice called from behind me.

I turned to him. I could feel my eyes tearing up too. "He is a bastard."

Joon nodded. "Yes he is. I saw everything. When he was here instead of you, he always insulted me. It was so cruel." he sighed. "Give it to my Y. Listen to my Y."

"Oh..." I didn't know what else to say so I stayed silent. What could one say to him singing about a certain letter of the alphabet?

"Well let me tell you one thing." He gave me a serious look, unlike all the nonserious looks he's been making ever since I met him. "Don't let him break that mirror. It's the portal between my world and yours. It's your only way back and if he breaks the mirror then you're stuck here forever."

"And how would I prevent him from doing so?" I glared at Joon, who shrugged in response causing me to sigh. "Great, there's a chance that I could be stuck in here forever."

"If you look on the bright side, you'll have me!" Joon grinned. Great, consider myself ed.

I laid on black space for what felt like forever, just staring at more black space.

"Don't you want to figure out how to get back?" Joon asked. I looked over to see him lifting his shirt and rubbing his abs. "Oh, don't mind me."

I sighed at the fool. "There's no point in trying to find a way out if I'm going to end up failing anyways. If there was an easy way out I would have been back already. Now I'm going to be stuck here forever and rot to death..."

"Aww don't be a pessimist! They're no fun! Be optimistic! You get to come up with fun scenarios that probably won't come true!"

"Fine, I'll be optimistic if it will shut you up." I sat up and glared at Joon.

"Okay~" he grinned and pulled me up. "Let's go find out why you're here. To the Room of Knowledge!"

"Room of Knowledge? They couldn't come up with a more original name?"

"Well, Alwaysland isn't that original either." Joon shrugged and teleported us elsewhere.

....Holy , we just teleported....

Cool~

"Here we are, the Room of Knowledge." Joon stood staring up at the dome thing in front of us.

"Shouldn't it be called the Dome of Knowledge instead of the Room of Knowledge?" I stared at the dome.

Joon shrugged. "I'm not the one that created it. Let's go inside."

We walked up the gigantic stairs to the entrance. The doors were really big as well. It rumbled as it opened up for us. Are these like, automatic doors or something? That would be cool because it's going to be like walking into a supermarket~

Inside, everything was white unlike the black space outside. Joon led us down a long hallway and we stopped in front of a red door. "Inside is the Room of Knowledge."

"Isn't this dome called that?" I looked at him quizically.

"No, no." He shook his head. "This is the Dome of Knowledge. That is the Room of Knowledge."

"But didn't you say the dome was called..." I sighed in frustration. "Never mind." You should never argue with fools, you'll never win. The only way to win is if you stoop down to their level. I'm not going to do that.

"Let's go inside, shall we?" he opened the door and skipped inside. I followed suit, except I walked like a normal person.

"Holy barbeque chicken with a hint of soy sauce. This room is huge!" I gaped at how large the room was. It was like the size of a master bedroom. Okay, maybe it's not that big but if you look up, it looks unending. The only weird thing was that there wasn't anything inside except for a book on a stand in the middle of the room.

"Go to that book for the answer that you seek." Joon nodded towards the book. I walked over to it and flipped through the book.

"Oh my gosh..." I stared at the book in awe.

"Amazing right?"

"It's empty."

"Exactly."

"What the am I supposed to do with an empty book?!" I shouted at him.

"Shh! Keep your voice down and no bad words! This is a holy and sacred place." he pointed his finger at me. "Now think about what you would like to know and the book will tell you the answer."

Okay, book. Here's what I want to know. Aish, why am I talking to a book? Anyways, I want to know why I am here. The last thing I saw was my reflection in my mirror before I fainted.

"Before you were completely knocked out, you had switched places with your reflection." I jumped at the loud booming voice that spoke.

"What's that?" I asked Joon.

"Shh, listen." He placed a finger on his lips. I turned back to the book.

"You care too much about your own looks. You don't compliment others on their looks and expect only compliments on your own. So your reflection is now in your world because you had received a comment that you didn't want."

"And there you have it. The reason why you're here." Joon nodded.

"Did the book just talk?" I gaped at Joon.

"Yup, I told you it would tell you what you want to know."

"I didn't think it was going to do so literally!" I blinked at the book. "Okay, now to find out how to get out of here."

Book, tell me how I can get out of here.

I waited for the answer but the book didn't speak.

"Book? Can you please tell me how to get out of here?" I voiced my question out loud this time.

"Come back in three hours. I'm on a lunch break."

"What the hell... What kind of book goes on lunch breaks?!" I growled.

"Hey, a book's got to eat too." It replied causing me to sigh.

"We can come back later then." Joon patted my shoulder. "In the meantime, you can go exploring the dome."

I sighed again. "Great... A delay on my return back to my world. The more time that's wasted, the other Jaehyo could be using that time to break the mirror."

"As long as he doesn't know about that, you'll be okay." Joon grinned.

"How would he know though?" I asked.

"I think he does know, he just doesn't remember at the moment. So hopefully he doesn't remember anytime soon."

"It would so bad if he did." I walked out of the room. "What else is in this dome?"

"Uhm, there's a game room if you want." Joon suggested.

"Where?" I ran towards a random room and opened a door.

Bathroom. "Nope." I ran to the next door. Basketball court. "Nope." room. "Definately nope." Game room. "Nope." English class—let's rewind.

"I found it!" I ran inside and began to play the games for the next three hours. Unfortunately two hours in, I was already bored.

"You sure get bored quickly." Joon commented.

"Yeah, I guess you could say that." I shrugged. So I went to go eat for the next hour before heading back to the Room of Knowledge.

"Let's see if the book is back." Joon went over to the book. "Book, are you there?"

"Out of service. Please check back tomorrow."

I fell to my knees. "ARE YOU ING SERIOUS?!?!"

"Shh—"

"I WAITED FOR THREE ING HOURS BECAUSE YOU HAD TO EAT. I COME BACK AND YOU'RE OUT OF SERVICE?! HOW DOES THAT EVEN WORK?!"

"Jaehyo, shh..." Joon placed his hand over my mouth. I tried moving his hand but it wouldn't budge, so I his hand. Hey, it got him to let go. Hopefully his hand was clean... "Eww..."

I breathed in and out several times. "You better work when I come back tomorrow." I stormed out of the dorm back to the black space. "How do I get back to the silver square?"

Joon came out after I did. "You can teleport."

"And how would I do that?" I asked.

"Oh wait, only I can do that. Okay I'll take you." He placed his hand on my shoulder and teleported me back to the square.

"How do you make it show my room?" Joon shrugged so I sat there waiting. After a while, the image of my room came up, with U-Kwon holding my mirror. His eyes widened when he saw me.

"Whoa!!" he gasped. "I can see myself as Jaehyo!"

"Kwonnie? It is me." I waved to him.

"But I just saw you in the kitchen." he tilted his head to the side.

"Okay, listen carefully. That Jaehyo isn't me. It was my evil reflection that switched places with me. So don't talk to him." I said as he nodded. "But don't tell him you know either."

"Okay!" he did a thumbs up and almost dropped the ing mirror, but luckily he caught it in time.

"Be careful! If you drop it I won't be able to go back!" I clutched my chest as my heart started beating a bajillion times faster.

"Sorry." U-Kwon grinned.

"Why don't you just put the mirror down and pretend you never saw me?"

"I guess I could—" Awww crap. The second Jaehyo took the mirror away from U-Kwon.

"What do we have here?" the other Jaehyo smirked. "I see you found out about Jaehyo. We can't have you telling anyone, now can we?" he then grabbed U-Kwon and knocked him out, throwing him inside my closet and locking it. "There we go. Problem solved."

I gaped at what he did. "Hey! Let him out!"

The second Jaehyo turned his attention back to me and frowned. "Hm, what to do about you... We can't have someone else come in this room and discover you now can we? I'll just throw you in with Kwonnie over there." He unlocked the closet door and threw the mirror inside as well before closing it. I almost had another heart attack because I thought the mirror broke since all I saw was darkness. Fortunately it didn't since I heard the sound of a click, indicating that the second Jaehyo locked the closet door.

The silver square went back to being a silver square and I sighed in relief. "I thought the mirror was going to break..."

"Hm, he sure is evil..." Joon nodded wisely at the square.

"Indeed he is." the square spoke back.

"Does everything in this world talk?!" I gaped at the square.

"Yeah." the square and Joon said.

"Aish..." I sighed as the square went back to being the darkness of the closet. "What's going on...?"

"Jaehyo?" I heard a voice whisper.

"Taeil?" the click of the closet made it's way through my ear and I saw the closet open. "Taeil!"

He frowned as he grabbed the mirror and U-Kwon. "I heard what happened when I was outside your room a moment ago."

"Don't drop the mirror okay?" he nodded and looked around to make sure the second Jaehyo wasn't eavesdropping like how he did earlier.

"I'm going to put the mirror, along with Kwonnie, in my room so that nothing happens. Stay quiet okay?" I nodded as Taeil carried the mirror and U-Kwon and placed them in his room. I'll keep the mirror in my closet so the fake Jaehyo doesn't find it."

"Thanks Taeil!" I smiled. "I'll try to get back tomorrow. In the meantime, don't let him know that U-Know, and don't let Yukwon out of your room."

"Okay. I'll come back from time to time to check up on you."

"Thanks. I know I can trust you." Taeil waved one last time before the image went back to being a silver square. Taeil, I hope you don't get found out. "At least now I feel like there's hope."

"As long as he doesn't get found out." Joon nodded.

"Hopefully not. He's my only hope. He needs to keep the mirror safe by tomorrow."

"Well, the book is technically your other hope." Joon pointed out.

"That too."
