A/N: Ah. Sorry for this blah chapter. Most likely just a filler... And thank you for staying with me and understanding too. By the way, the song used within the story is Tiffany's OST Ring. I just used the english translation of the lyrics. I thought the meaning was just spot on for them in this story...well that's just me. I wonder if you'll think it too. I hope so..lol Thank you again! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. <3

---------------

Taeyeon and Tiffany were sitting at the back seat of the sedan that Sunny sent to pick them up. They kept on stealing glances on each other with shy smiles painted on their faces.

“Are you sure you’re going to be okay?” Taeyeon asked, breaking the silence.

Tiffany smiled, “Of course. It would be really nice to see how you and your friends were like back then.”

Taeyeon raised an eyebrow, amused. “There’s not much of a difference you know. And, it’s been a while since I was last there so…”

“I know. And, I’m here with you and I’ll be there with you as well.” She squeezed the hand that has been holding hers since they walked out the door of their apartment. “I think it’s my turn to tell you to relax. I think it’s going to be fun.”

“Alright. On one condition…”

“What condition?”

“You have to stay next to me at all times. Understand?”

Tiffany giggled. “Yes.” And she gave Taeyeon a peck on the cheek, making the latter grin.

Not long after, they arrived at their destination – Hyoyeon’s event at her club. They could already see people coming in and out of the place, all dressed up with their masks on. They could faintly hear the music blaring from the inside and their hearts started pounding together with it as the car started to pull over by the door.

“Thanks. I’ll give you a call when we’re ready to leave.” Taeyeon said as she stepped out of the car after the driver opened it for her.

“Yes, ma’am. I’ll be on standby.”

“Good.” She then turned around and offered a hand to Tiffany. “Now, my angel, let’s go see what’s going on inside shall we?”

Tiffany nodded as she took Taeyeon’s offered hand. She took a deep breath and told herself that everything’s going to be alright.

Walking hand in hand, Taeyeon led the way towards the door and showed the guard their invitation. They were escorted right away to one of the VIP sections and saw that Sunny and Sooyoung were already there.

“Taeng! Tiffany!” Sunny greeted them with a hug before handing over a glass to each of them.

Taeyeon chuckled. “Seriously? We just got here and you’re already giving us alcohol?”

“Of course! Loosen up, midget!”

Taeyeon just shook her head and pulled Tiffany closer to her as she greeted Sooyoung. “Where’s Hyo?” she asked as they took a seat.

“She’s somewhere… You know how she is. She’s checking out some stuff she said then she’ll join us.”

“Cool. By the way, thanks for sending the driver.”

Sunny just replied by raising her glass to Taeyeon.

Sunny and Sooyoung were snickering as they watch the other couple get so cozy across them. Sunny, herself, still get surprised each time to see how gentle Taeyeon is towards Tiffany. The attentiveness was just something she never saw from the girl before but as time passes by, she’s discovering more and more of the Taeyeon that she never saw. And it is refreshing and amusing for her.

Tiffany’s gestures and caring touches and eyes didn’t go unnoticed by Sunny as well. The way the girl looks after the stubborn friend of hers and actually be able to calm and tame her was really something she never thought someone would be able to do. She knows how pain and hurt have changed her friend, have her put up so many walls to guard what’s left of her heart.

The four of them chatted their night away, laughing at some of their embarrassing stories and jokes. Tiffany made sure to look after Taeyeon and what she’s been drinking, knowing that the latter can’t drink too much. They have a great view of the majority of the club from where they’re seated and they could see how people were having their own definition of fun for that night.

It took a while before Hyoyeon finally joined the four of them. When she greeted and gave Tiffany a hug, she whispered to her how grateful she is for being able to drag Taeyeon to go to her event. Tiffany blushed behind her mask and told Hyoyeon that she didn’t do anything and that she’s the one who’s thankful for inviting her.

The night is getting deeper and more and more drinks were being consumed by Hyoyeon, Sunny and Sooyoung. Tiffany was monitoring the drinks she and Taeyeon were having though.

“Taeng, you should sing something for us. It doesn’t matter if it’s a ballad or something.” Hyoyeon casually said as she took another swig from her drink.

Taeyeon shook her head. “No. Not tonight, Hyo. Sorry.” She gave her a sad smile.

“Why not? Come on. It’s been a while. Just one song.” Hyoyeon turned to Tiffany who was silently sending her a message to try and convince Taeyeon.

Tiffany was not sure what to do though. Taeyeon became a bit quiet and seemed lost in her thoughts until she felt a hand squeeze her arm. Tiffany smiled at her and she couldn’t help but smile too. The others have changed the topic of the conversation already, whilst Taeyeon deal with the sudden rush of memories of her past.

“I know you miss it. Every time you sing in the shower and you would suddenly stop because you feel guilty, I know it too.” Tiffany pats Taeyeon’s cheek. “Oh, I can hear you, alright? And, it’s actually amazing to hear you sing.” Taeyeon looked away before looking down to the hand that she was holding. “I am hoping you could finally find another reason or inspiration to sing again.”

Taeyeon looked up and was met by Tiffany’s gentle eyes, looking at her as if she’s the only one with her in that room. After exchanging vows, Taeyeon has found herself humming and singing more often than before although she would always stop before she could actually fully enjoy the feeling of it – the feeling of being freed and carefree and happy. Singing was something she buried together with her brother in that same grave. It’s been years, but she still couldn’t find it in her heart to forgive herself, to stop blaming herself for what happened to her brother. Yet, she also couldn’t help it for Tiffany was like the rainbow after the storm that makes her want to do nothing but to rejoice.

“Don’t force yourself. If you think that tonight is still not the right time, then don’t. Just remember that I’ll be here to cheer you on and be with you when you feel like it’s time.”

Tiffany then joined the conversation of their friends after seeing how torn Taeyeon looks. As much as she wanted for her to break free from the guilt that’s still eating her up, she knew better than to force her to do so. Taeyeon has been nothing but patient and understanding towards her and her nightmares and she would be doing just the same to her too.

Taeyeon excused herself to go to the restroom. “Stay here. I’ll just go to the restroom. Don’t go anywhere.”

“Where would I go?” Tiffany asked.

“Just... Just stay here, okay?”

“Okay. Go on.”

-----

Taeyeon left and went to Hyoyeon’s office instead of the restroom as she told the others. As soon as she closed the door behind her, she took her phone out and sent someone a message. She was pacing the room back and forth, mumbling something to herself.

Few minutes later, the door opened and came in the person she sent a message to earlier.

“Taeng? Are you okay?”

Taeyeon turned around and saw Hyoyeon standing by the door.

“Yeah...”

There was a brief silence before Taeyeon spoke again. Hyoyeon was confused that she chose not to say anything and just waited until Taeyeon was ready to tell her why she was asked to follow her to her office.

“I’ll do it.” Taeyeon said just above a whisper.

“Huh? Do what?”

Taeyeon took a deep breath. “I’ll do it. I’ll sing. Tonight.”

Hyoyeon’s eyes widened in surprise. She cleared and said, “Look, Taeng, I’m sorry. Please don’t do it. I’m sorry if I pushed you to do something you don’t want to do.” She was feeling guilty, thinking that she has pushed the girl too hard and forced her into doing
