“I finally found you. And I’m so glad it’s you.”

“Tae-Taeyeon ah…” Tiffany said, barely a whisper.

“I should have known. I should have known.” Taeyeon kept muttering as she kept her hands on Tiffany’s face, cupping her face as she it with her thumbs.

Sooyoung and Sunny just watched from the other side of the room in silence. Sunny had a wide smile on her face and she crossed her arms while Sooyoung was still lost as ever.

“Okay, for the nth time tell me what’s really going on?!” Sooyoung asked, getting frustrated as she nudged Sunny.

Sooyoung glared at Sunny who was trying her best to stifle a giggle. Sooyoung sighed as she turned her head to look at the other two people in the room with them. She was staring at them intently when her eyes widened and her jaw dropped.

Sooyoung was shocked with what she saw. She rubbed her eyes to make sure she isn’t just seeing things and she definitely wasn’t. She even tried to pinch her cheeks and arms to make sure she really wasn’t at all. And she took one step forward and continued to stare. She saw the matching rings on their hands. The wheels in her head started spinning; she couldn’t find the words to say something.

She took a step back and turned to Sunny who was now watching her. Sunny grinned and then covered as she giggled silently at Sooyoung’s reaction.

“Y-you… Th-them…” Sooyoung stuttered.

Sunny just patted her arm before going back to watching the other two.

“The-… Tae-… Tiffa-… Wh-what… How… Wh-why… Th-they…” Sooyoung kept on looking at the couple then at Sunny while her brain tried to absorb the news, the fact that was just suddenly laid out before her.

Sooyoung was brought back out of her thoughts when she felt Sunny nudging her and pulled her towards the table. She shook her head, trying to get a grip. She then followed Sunny’s line of sight and saw the teary-eyed couple, holding hands walking towards the table. She kept quiet. She didn’t know what to say anyway so she just waited and waited and tried to understand the whole ordeal.

“Taeng, Fany sit down. You guys okay?” Sunny asked as she took her own seat.

Once everyone was seated – Tiffany and Taeyeon sitting next to each other, Sunny and Sooyoung seated across them – Sunny took out a little device and pressed a button. It was to let the kitchen know they’re ready for their lunch.

“Maybe a little food will take away the shock from everyone.” Sunny spoke up again, just grinning at the situation as she found it funny, awkward yet heartwarming and definitely surprising.

Few minutes later, the door opened and came in three servers who laid out everything on the table and left right away after doing their job.

“Well, let’s dig in!” Sunny excitedly said as she was really hungry and to try and take away the quietness in the room.

Taeyeon suddenly moved, took the table napkin on Tiffany’s side and carefully draped it over the latter. She could feel her face getting warmer as she could feel all three pairs of eyes on her. She swallowed nervously, closed her eyes briefly and tried to calm herself. She then took Tiffany’s silverware and took her hand and made her hold it.

“Eat, Fany.” Taeyeon said, above whisper, looking to her side. She could see the blushing cheeks just like her own and couldn’t help but smile. She took her hand and held it, squeezing it lightly. “Eat. Even just a little bit, please?”

Tiffany heard the plea and looked to her side. She was met by Taeyeon’s gentle gaze and couldn’t help but blush even harder. She nodded, “You too, please.”

They shared a sweet smile that earned a giggle from Sunny who was now leaning on the table, head resting on the palms of her hand. “Damn. Taeyeon, I can’t believe you can be as gentle as this.” She teased making the other three blush – yes, even Sooyoung who was still at a loss.

Taeyeon stuck her tongue out to Sunny and then turned to give back her attention to Tiffany. “Eat, Fany. We’ll talk after this, okay?” A sweet, gentle smile was painted on Taeyeon’s face.

Tiffany meekly nodded before finally moving to take a bite. She could feel Taeyeon still watching her and she took another spoonful of the food on her plate. She could feel Taeyeon’s eyes on her still. And, as if she has forgotten that there are other people in the room with them, she turned towards Taeyeon and placed the spoon in front of .

Taeyeon was caught a little off guard and looked at Tiffany then at the spoon. Tiffany tilted her head waiting for Taeyeon to move and eat the food she was offering. After a few more seconds, Taeyeon finally did and muttered a thank you on a mouthful of food making Tiffany giggle.

The two finally seemed to have relaxed and so did Sunny so they went on and enjoyed the food served before them. Sooyoung on the other hand was still trying to absorb everything. She was too preoccupied with everything that she wasn’t even touching her food at all and Sunny noticed it.

“Yah! Shikshin! Why aren’t you eating?” Sunny elbowed Sooyoung who pouted and rubbed her side.

“Shikshin?” Tiffany asked.

“Yeah. Shikshin. This person has a bottomless pit of a stomach.” Sunny said, grinning.

“I’m not!”

“You are!”

“No!”

“Yes!”

“Hmph!” Sooyoung crossed her arms while Sunny stuck her tongue out.

Sunny and Sooyoung then saw the confused expressions on Taeyeon and Tiffany’s faces. Sunny chuckled.

“Well, how do I say this? As you can see we are this comfortable with each other that is because we’ve known each other for quite a long time too. We go way back even before we became lawyers actually.” Sunny started.

“Yeah. But unfortunately, she never grew taller throughout the years.” Sooyoung shook her head exaggeratedly. Sunny hit her on the arm.

Tiffany was giggling at the childish antics of the two and Taeyeon was just smiling and looking at Tiffany. She loves it whenever she laughs and smiles, seeing her happy. Then, Taeyeon looked at Sunny and Sooyoung’s direction, raising an eyebrow and was about to say something but didn’t at the end. She made a mental note though to corner and ask Sunny about it.

They resumed with their lunch in a lighter note and after the dishes were taken from the table and replaced with teas and coffees, they all knew it was time to talk about why they were all there in the first place.

Sooyoung asked if she and Taeyeon could switch seats for a while as they go on and proceed with the matter in hand. Reluctantly, Taeyeon stood up after giving Tiffany’s hand a light squeeze and sat on the seat across Tiffany’s.

Then, there was a brief silence until it was broken by Sooyoung clearing .

“Well, I guess we really wouldn’t have much problems here at all. I mean obviously you both know each other and by that I mean really know. Right?” Sooyoung started, her eyes moving from Tiffany then to Taeyeon and lastly to Sunny. “Anyway, why don’t we get down to business? There’s also something else I would actually like to discuss but not until I guess we finish with things that has to do with the company.”

Taeyeon then spoke up next. Tiffany was first yet again in awe, in trance as she listen to Taeyeon speak – well at least tried to listen but Taeyeon’s voice got her to daydream for a moment there. It seemed like Taeyeon transformed from that gentle, sweet lover in to this genius business magnate.

Taeyeon and Sunny presented everything that they have in hand which also included Taeyeon’s story of how she ever came to meet Tiffany’s mother and how all of these have started. Tiffany couldn’t help and hold it that the tears started flowing from her eyes. Taeyeon can’t help seeing her like that so she stood up and hugged Tiffany.

“I’m okay. I’m okay, Taeyeon.” Tiffany reassured her. She was indeed okay. There’s still pain, true, but somehow she could finally feel herself healing from her loss. And she has no one else to thank for but that person who is holding her right now.

After a while, Taeyeon continued on with the reports she has in hand and explained them to Tiffany and Sooyoung. She also went over her future insights and plans for the company as well as asked Sunny to let the two know further about the current standing and status of the company, their projects and deals as well as the employees.

“Oh and before I forget, I actually have a new building built for the company where we can move from the one where we are currently located. No one is actually really aware of what the new building is going to be although it is about 80-90% finished. We’ve heard the rumors about what the people thought it would be and who bought it but thankfully we were able to seal all information that might point to us.” Taeyeon said before actually giving Tiffany and Sooyoung the floor to speak. “I also wanted the partner, which is you,” and Taeyeon smiled sweetly at Tiffany before continuing, “to come with me and have a look at it and perhaps you know add or give out suggestions for the interior and other finishing details. I was hoping that once we really give the company a proper launching, that is when we would also completely move everyone there.”

Tiffany was listening intently this time. She was really in awe and couldn’t find the words to say. Taeyeon really has everything planned well and even got the company standing even while juggling it with her job back when she was still with Kim Corporation.

Tiffany thinks she got way too easy and she’s really not that deserving to be called as Taeyeon’s partner at this part. She hasn’t really done anything at all. She still has a very long way to go to even at least get to half of what Taeyeon was able to do for the company her mother left her.

“So, what do you think?” Taeyeon asked Tiffany and Sooyoung.

“I- I think i
