The next day, Taeyeon woke up before Tiffany this time. She was getting ready, about to put on her jacket to leave when Tiffany stirred from her sleep, hands roaming around the bed looking for the warmth that wasn't there. Her eyes fluttered open and saw that there is no Taeyeon next to her. 

Tiffany groaned and  turned around only to see a Taeyeon getting ready. Her eyebrows furrowed as she watched Taeyeon before speaking up. "Where are you going?" She said in a hoarse voice.

"Whoah! You scared me." Taeyeon exclaimed as she turned around to see a Tiffany that is now sitting at the edge of the bed. "I just have to go get something from my apartment. I'll be back right away. I made breakfast for you already. Just stay here and wait for me okay? Don't leave the house without me."

Tiffany just tilted her head, questioning Taeyeon in silence. Taeyeon understood the look that Tiffany gave her.

"I'll be fine, Fany. You've got nothing to worry about." Taeyeon walked to Tiffany and then knelt down before her, taking both of the latter's hand. "I promise, I'll take care of myself. I'll be careful this time. Okay?" 

Tiffany looked straight at Taeyeon's eyes, full of worry and love before looking away.

"Hey. Nothing's going to happen okay? Not to me. Not to you as well. I promise you that." Taeyeon said as she held Tiffany's chin gently so she could see her eyes. Tiffany's eyes were glistening with tears and Taeyeon felt a little stab in her heart as well as warmth. She feels guilty for making Tiffany worry and scared yet she also feels so loved by the latter. 

Taeyeon pulled Tiffany in her arms as she comforted her. "I'll come with you." Taeyeon heard Tiffany say. 

Taeyeon shook her head before speaking up, "No. Just stay here. I won't be long. I just have to get some of my stuff and some important documents. I'm planning on selling that place because I don't think it's a safe place anymore for me and even you."

"The more reason I need to go with you. Please, Tae. Please let me go with you." Tiffany begged as she tightened her grip on Taeyeon.

Taeyeon sighed in defeat. "Okay. You can go with me. Go get ready now and we will leave after you eat breakfast, okay?" She pulled out of the hug, caressing Tiffany's cheeks with her thumbs before giving her a kiss on the forehead.

Tiffany gave Taeyeon a peck on the cheek before going about her routine and started getting ready.

"Well, there's that. Somehow, something doesn't feel right." Taeyeon muttered to herself before preparing Tiffany's things and waited for her downstairs.

"Sir, she managed to sneak out. She's not in her apartment and around the building." The guy reported through the phone.

"Idiots! You just have to follow and watch her and you can't even do that?" The guy on the other line replied.

"We are so sorry, sir. Her car never left the premises. We misjudged the whole situation."

"Stupid. Stop making excuses. I am not paying all of you for that."

"We're going to start looking for her in the nearby areas and all other places she always goes to. We will report again once we get her exact location."

"Do that but you and your team, stay there. I have something else I want you to do while she's not there."

"Yes, sir."

Few minutes later, the call ended and the guy gathered his men to give out the latest instructions before calling another team to do the search.

While Tiffany was having her breakfast, Taeyeon took this time to give Sunny a quick call. She went to their office and waited for Sunny to pick up.

"Good morning, Taeyeon!" Sunny greeted excitedly.

"Good morning, Sunny." 

"Soooo... What can I do for you?"

"Well, the favor I called in... Were you able to do it?"

"Oh yes I did. I got the files that you told me about from your apartment already. I have it safely kept right now. Don't worry."

Taeyeon sighed in relief. "That's good then. Thanks for doing that for me. Though I left some more behind but I'll be getting it in a bit. I'm wondering if you could go and help me out with some other things."

"Wait. I haven't asked you yet and you haven't told me about your resignation. What happened, Taeng?"

"It's over Sunny. And as expected, he didn't accept it but it doesn't matter. I want out and that's what I'll do that's why we need to step up our game a bit. He's getting closer and I don't want to get caught in the middle of his dirty deeds. I want to be free, Sunny. I want a life, my own life... With Tiffany." 

Sunny can hear and feel the sudden change in emotions as Taeyeon spoke and she couldn't help but think how much Taeyeon have changed ever since Tiffany came to her life. She mentally noted to express her deepest gratitude to the girl once she get the chance to meet her. "You'll get there Taeng. You got me and there's Yuri and Hyoyeon. I'll do everything that I could to help you out. You know that. I owe you my life and this is nothing compared to what you did."

"Not this talk again, Sunny. You know I am not asking for anything in return. This has got nothing to do with that. I mean these favors I've been asking for lately. I just... I just don't know where and whom to turn to. And you know me..."

"I know that. And like I said, it's nothing. All these favors I'd still do and help you put with whether what you did for me in the past happened or not. You're my friend and family more than a client, Taeng."

"Thank you. I really mean it."

"And so do I." Sunny replied sincerely. "So what can I help you with?" She continued.

"I'm thinking of selling the apartment. And my other car, the one that they are familiar with. I can't risk anything else right now, Sunny ah. Not when i have Tiffany always next to me. If something happens to her..."

"Okay. Hold it right there. You're being negative again. Calm down and take it one step at a time. I told you I've got your back. Don't worry about Kim Corporation right now. Focus on your Tiffany and the company you've been working hard with for years." Sunny said as she cut off Taeyeon. "And about your apartment and car, consider it done would you like me to go look for another one then? New car too?"

"Thanks. You know this will get really messy right? And apartment yes. For the car, I think I'll handle that one instead."

"Messy or not, I've got your back. And got it. I'll look into that. Why don't you go relax, unwind or whatever. Let's just talk about these next week."

Taeyeon sighed. "Okay. Thanks Sunny ah."

"Anytime, Taengoo. Anytime. By the way, you still owe me, Yuri and Hyoyeon a lunch or dinner." Sunny reminded Taeyeon playfully followed by her laughter.

"Just when I thought you guys forgot about it already." Taeyeon laughed along. "Just let me know when you guys are free, though as we know Yuri would just have to join some other time. I'll make time for you and Hyoyeon though.. Maybe you guys can meet Tiffany too." 

"Sounds good. Well, I'll let you go now. Be careful, Taeng."

"Thanks. You too."

After the call ended, Taeyeon went to look for Tiffany whom she found cutely pouting while eating her breakfast. 

"And why are you pouting Ms. Hwang?" Taeyeon playfully asked as she sat next to Tiffany.

Tiffany just shook her head in reply. Taeyeon just kept watching Tiffany eat until the latter spoke again. "Why are you staring at me like that?"
