Taeyeon got up really early. She wasn’t sure if it was the thrill and excitement of a business venture or the nerves that has really kept her up. She spent hours of just staring at Tiffany who was sleeping peacefully in her arms. She wanted to keep that picture of the love of her life in her mind and heart. She wanted that sight every single morning – to start the day with Tiffany next to her and end the night with her still next to her.

When she slipped off from the bed, she went into the closet and saw that it has different sets of her business suits. She contemplated on whether she should wear one of those or wear something a bit less formal. She didn’t want the meeting to be so formal though.

She sent Sunny a message to pass on to the other party and let them know that they wouldn’t need to dress up too formally or be in a business suit or whatever. She wants it be comfortable and dressing up casually wouldn’t hurt at all. After all, it isn’t just a business meeting – it is to keep a promise, to meet the person she has been looking for and it is outside business.

She wanted her daughter to be at ease with her, to be comfortable around her and be able to approach her at all times without having second thoughts. That’s what she promised her the last time they were able to talk. She knew something was off when they last talked. It’s still so fresh in her mind. She was really grateful of her – she treated her like she was her own. Taeyeon can still hear the excitement in her voice because she was going to spending the day with her daughter. It has always made Taeyeon jealous, but the woman would always put her heart at ease with her words and care even from afar. Like Tiffany, she was an angel for her.

Taeyeon was preparing breakfast when she let her thoughts wander off to the thoughts of her. She smiled sadly – it was bittersweet. She was smiling sadly as she remembered the woman whom insisted on being called ‘umma’ by her.

“I’m going to meet her today. I will make sure to keep my promise to you. I’ll keep her safe now that I found her. Thank you for making me feel like I was loved. How I wish you could have met my other angel. She reminds me of you.” Taeyeon mumbled all to herself, hoping she could hear her wherever she might be.

Her sad smile turned bright when her thoughts wandered to Tiffany. She has definitely turned her life around. She saved her from the pit she was falling in, from the darkness and brought her to the light.

Taeyeon finished preparing and cooking breakfast before going back to the room, only to see Tiffany still peacefully sleeping. Her smile grew wider. The sight got her breathless.

Tiffany’s hair was all over her face; body laid sideways still, injured arm resting over the pillow that Taeyeon put in her place before she slipped out. The rays of the sun that were peeking through the curtains were shining over her. She just looked perfect in Taeyeon’s eyes. She would really love to wake up and see this sight every morning.

Taeyeon carefully walked towards the bed and slowly went to her side of the bed. She was on her side, elbow propped as she was supporting her head. She reached over and slowly tucked the stray strands of hair of Tiffany behind her ear and let her fingers linger on the latter’s cheek. She lightly graze her fingertips up and down the cheek before she leaned down to plant a kiss on her cheek.

Tiffany stirred from the touches, and her eyes fluttered open when she felt the soft, warm lips on her skin. Her lips curved upwards when she saw who it was. She cleared . “Good morning.” Then, she pouted, asking for a proper kiss.

“Good morning, my angel.” Taeyeon said in reply before grinning and giving Tiffany what she was asking for.

The kiss lasted longer than what Tiffany thought of. They both pulled back, Taeyeon resting her head on the crook of Tiffany’s neck before chuckling, “Well, that was a great way to start my morning.”

Tiffany blushed and nuzzled her nose on Taeyeon’s hair. “I love waking up, knowing you’ll be the first person I’ll see when I open my eyes.” She mumbled quietly against Taeyeon’s hair.

“So do I. So do I, angel.”

They stayed like that for a while before finally getting out of the bed. Taeyeon watched Tiffany brush her teeth and wash her face, her body leaning on the door frame, arms crossed and a smile on her face. Taeyeon just couldn’t resist so she went behind Tiffany and hugged her, resting her head on the back of her neck.

“Are you okay?” Tiffany asked when she was done and rested her free hand on top of Taeyeon’s.

Taeyeon nodded. She shifted her position and rested her chin on Tiffany’s shoulder. They looked at their reflection on the mirror – with such gentle yet loving smiles on their faces, eyes twinkling, cheeks slightly blushing.

“My dream come true.” Taeyeon said, still looking at their reflection.

“My saving grace.” Tiffany replied.

And suddenly, laughter echoed the four corners of the bathroom. “Oh my god. I’m cringing right now.” Tiffany giggled while Taeyeon was laughing her heart out.

Taeyeon loved hearing Tiffany laugh and giggle. It was like music to her ears just like hearing her heart beating for her. And it was the same for Tiffany. Those laughter and smiles from Taeyeon, that’s what she lives for right now – to see those eyes full of life and hearing her heart beating for her with a genuine smile painted on her face. She wanted to be the one making her happy.

Then, Tiffany’s eye smile appeared, making Taeyeon to smile even wider. Taeyeon led Tiffany out to the dining table and ate their breakfast peacefully, talking about nothing and everything. Thankfully, their breakfast stayed warm courtesy of the food warmer plate covers.

---------------

Taeyeon just got out of the bathroom, robe covering her body while she was drying her hair with a towel. Tiffany was seating at the foot of the bed, watching Taeyeon’s every move.

Taeyeon could feel the eyes on her and it was just stirring everything inside of her and it was taking every single bit of control within her body not to take Tiffany at that moment.

“What are you wearing?” Tiffany asked as Taeyeon approached the closet.

Taeyeon turned around, meeting Tiffany’s gaze. She could see that there is something else in those eyes. Although the gaze seemed gentle and loving, there was a hint of something else in it. “Not really sure but definitely not too business formal. I want it to be a bit more of a comfortable type of meeting.” Then, Taeyeon took out what she thought she’ll wear and showed it to Tiffany.

Tiffany just smiled at Taeyeon and gave a meek nod in approval. It didn’t go unnoticed though.

Taeyeon went on and got ready. Tiffany gulped as she saw Taeyeon changing right in front of her. She suddenly felt nervous, butterflies flying around her stomach and eyes never leaving Taeyeon. She swallowed nervously. This beautiful person is mine. She’s all mine. Such a beauty to behold.

Tiffany stood from where she was seated and found her way towards Taeyeon when she saw the latter was about to put on her shirt. She took the shirt from Taeyeon’s hands and put it on the latter herself. She was avoiding Taeyeon’s eyes but she can feel her eyes on her – boring through her with intensity. She slowly buttoned the shirt from bottom to top. And after that, she smoothened the shirt, running her uninjured hand over it.

Taeyeon tilted Tiffany’s head by the chin, with a small smile, and placed a chaste kiss on her lips and lightly on the tip of her nose. She mumbled a thank you.

“Do you really have to go now?” Tiffany muttered in a low whisper.

“Yes. I’m sorry. I still have to fix things for this meeting. Do I look okay?”

“You always look beautiful no matter what you’re wearing. You can even be in a hobo state and you’ll still have heads turning your way.”

Taeyeon grinned. “Why, thank you for the compliment, Mrs. Kim.” Taeyeon saw Tiffany pouting. “What’s wrong?”

Tiffany shook her head. She walked over the closet and took Taeyeon’s jacket and gave it to the latter. “Here. Bring this with you.”

Taeyeon took the jacket and hang it on the chair behind her. “Tell me what’s wrong, angel. Is there something bothering you?”

Tiffany just shook her head and fixed Taeyeon’s shirt again before lifting her head and met Taeyeon’s worried, soft gaze. “Nothing’s wrong. You should go. You don’t want to be late for your meeting.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, I’m sure.”

Taeyeon held Tiffany’s chin and lifted it and their eyes met. She caressed her cheek with her thumb. “Wish me luck. It’s time for me to fulfill another promise.”

“Good luck. You will do well. I know you would.”

“And I know you would too. Please don’t dress up like I don’t know too prettily. I don’t want the person you are meeting to ogle over you.”

“I think I’m the one who should tell you that.”

“Huh? What? Why?”

“Nothing.”

“Oh, come on, angel. Tell me.”

“Please behave on your meeting?”

“Wha-“ Taeyeon chuckled. “I haven’t even met the person yet, Fany. She’s the daughter of my business partner. I am just here to fulfill a promise.”

“Still…”

“Please stop whatever thoughts you are having right now. You are my wife. There’s no one else for me. Okay?”

Tiffany nodded.

“If there’s anyone who should be worried, it should be me. If only you could see how quick those heads turn whenever you walk pass by other people. Girls or boys, they all fall for your charm, your eye smile. Better make sure that person you’re meeting behaves.”

“The person is a she, Taeyeon.”

“She, he… Doesn’t matter. Behave Kim Tiffany.”

“Behave Kim Taeyeon.”

Taeyeon smiled then giggled. “Don’t worry about a thing. You’re the only one in my eyes.” She leaned forward and kissed Tiffany’s forehead before resting her own against the latter’s. “Good luck on your meeting later. I’m proud of you. And please don’t go anywhere out of the bodyguards’ sight?”

“Don’t worry about me. I’ll be a good girl.”

“My good girl.” Taeyeon pecked Tiffany’s lips. “Send me to the door?”

“Of course.”

Taeyeon took her business case and purse after putting on the jacket that Tiffany handed over earlier. She held Tiffany’s hand as they walk towards the door. “Call me if there’s anything, okay? It doesn’t matter what time, just call me.”

“Yes. Stop worrying. Good luck.”

The two shared a passionate kiss before Taeyeon finally pulls back. “I’ll see you later. Love you.”

“Love you too.”
