I’ve been dreaming to be in a noraebang. I know we have a lot of karaoke rooms back in the Philippines but I want to experience some real noraebang. Well, it’s different. Of course, the lastest KPOP songs are on the list, those funny props, those comfy rooms. I’ve been planning to go in this kind of place but I have no one to go with. I really want to sing my favorite songs there and if I will be given a chance, a day wouldn’t be enough for me. And now here I am, going to a noraebang, singing my favorite songs with the some of the actual singers of those songs. Yup, BEAST, 4minute and G.na. But I’m not sure if I would be able to sing. But the worst thing that might happen, once I got a hold of the mic, I wouldn’t able to let it go off from my hand. I love music but unfortunately, music doesn’t love me. Sad right?
We only walked from the restaurant to this noraebang-slash-bar in front of us since it’s very near. It wasn’t that ordinary and it looks it’s quite expensive there. What do you expect? I’m with the Cube Family! It’s expected to be expensive and more private. And I’m right, there weren’t much people here.
“Gaja!” Dongwoon shouted while he puts his arms around me and Sohyun. Sohyun and I chuckled with his sudden move and he dragged us inside.
“Look at those maknaes! They’re more excited than us coz finally, they’ll be able to drink now.” Yoseob said sounding so amused. I never realized that. Yeah, right maknaes LOL. I know Dongwoon isn’t one of the youngest but he is a maknae of Beast so let’s consider him. But no, I’m not really a drinker. I haven’t been drunk though I only had a glass or two and that’s if only my friends pleaded me so hard. That’s how far I could drink. I’m afraid of what will alcohol would make me do. And it really doesn’t taste well.
As soon as we all reached inside, we look for a private room. Everyone looks so excited and I know not because of singing but with the alcohol. But for me, I’m opposite. I’m really anticipating to watch them sing their own songs in a noraebang. Then as we finally settled, everyone starts to choose what to drink. Then everyone purchase that bottomless serving of beer. Omo!!! I didn’t expect them to be like this. Everyone seems likes to drink. Now, I’m afraid if they would request me to drink also.
Then as everything has been settled, everyone starts to sing one by one. The singing marathon is led by Dongwoon oppa and he starts singing Happy Birthday to you. We all laughed at his own epic version of the song. I glanced at Hyunseung oppa and he looks like he’s having the time of his life. I’m happy for him that he’s happy on his birthday. Then slowly, I glanced at Doojoon. I smiled a bit as I saw him laughing so hard too. I’m smiling coz I can no longer see those cold aura he has since I arrived though he haven’t still said anything to me.
“Hyung, Saranghaeng!!! Saranghae!!! Saranghae!!!” Dongwoon said after he sang as he tried his best to show some aegyo as he mimic Girl’s Day Mina’s three ways of saying I love you. [a/n: watch their guesting at MBC’s Radiostar if you’re wondering what am I talking about:)] Then we all now holding on our stomach because of how hilarious he looks now. It all took us for a while before the laugh faded. Then the singing marathon has now really starting. From the 4minute then G.na then Beast and back to 4minute again. It’s been like a cycle. Then same as with the drinking, it seems like a cycle. Everyone starts to drink as if there’s no tomorrow. What a rare scene! Idols drinking?
“Maya, why don’t you sing us a song?” Jihyun unnie asked then others nodded. Now, I’m dead! I’m not really a singer, I only love singing.
“Yeah, she’s right!” Hyuna unnie added then I profusely shook my head no with my hands waving in front of me.
“I do love singing but I’m not that good, I swear!” I said.
“Yah, just sing for me as a gift. You haven’t gave me anything yet!” Hyunseung oppa pleaded. I do have a gift for him but I don’t want to give it yet. I guess I really have to sing now.
“Okay, okay! Let me see that Song Book.” I said then everyone looked around where it is. then suddenly out of nowhere, Doojoon stood in front of me, song book is on his hands.
“Here.” then he handed me the book and smiled. Wait, he smiled at me, finally????!!!! So he isn’t angry at me anymore though until now I don’t have any idea why. I smiled back then look over the songs. it took me for a while and it seems so silent inside the room. I looked at them again and saw that everyone is really waiting for me what song I’ll sing. Then finally, my eyes stop at this song. One of my favorite, A Bitter Day by Hyuna, G.na and Junhyung. I typed in the number code for the song and as I entered it, everyone start to cheer on me.
“Omo, it’s our song!!!!” Hyuna unnie screamed while looking at G.na and Junhyung.
“Hwaiting, Maya!” Yoseob and Kikwang shouted.
“I wonder if she could do the rap parts.” Gayoon unnie said to the others. I suddenly felt so conscious. I wonder if I could still do the rap parts since it’s been a while since I sang it. Yeah I do sing it a lot as if I was having my own concert in my bathroom. (LOL) Then as the song start playing and I start singing, everyone starts to scream more.

DOOJOON’S POV
The room suddenly filled with a lot of screams as everyone start cheering on the well-mannered girl. A while ago, I smiled at her as I handed her the song book. I was also excited to hear her voice. I wonder if she is monotone, or has cracked voice or really has a good voice. Everyone shouted more as the song starts playing and she starts singing.
“A Bitter Day…” she start singing. Then everyone starts to get silent. All eyes and ears are on her. And damn! She got a nice voice!!!!! It might not be as high as G.na noona as she sing it but hers is can be considered good. My heart starts to beat faster and it feels that something has clogging my breath. I can’t stop staring. I got more anticipated when the rap lyrics came.
“Nalssi ga joha do…” she starts rapping. And dang! Everyone just staring at her including Hyuna since it was her part. She did it smoothly! Both of them are good but her style is different from Hyuna’s. Ah jinjja!!! I could really say she’s great!!!! My stare has been on hers quite some time coz my eyes are really stocked on her. I bet everyone eyes are also still on her. I start to feel my cold sweat to form into droplets. My heart has been really acting weird. Then after part by part, Junhyung’s rap verse came. Now I doubt if she could do that.
“Yeah, byeonmyeong cheoreom deulli getji museun mareul haedo…” she started. And I was definitely wrong! She exactly did how Junhyung rapped it. Then suddenly at the middle…
“apeun geon naega da halge neo geujeo haengbok haesseum joh gesseo
jigeum nae seontaeki heo…” then she suddenly stop as she lacks air anymore then she just shook her head in disappointment. I saw Junhyung show her an “OKAY” sign then she continued. As the song almost end, suddenly Junhyung stand up and grab the other mic and he start rapping his part.
“jigeumsshik ijhyeo jil geoya shigani jina gamyeon, useumyeo chueok halsu it getji” he rapped then he signaled her to do Hyuna’s part. Aish, what is he doing right now? Is he making some moves on her too?!!! But, you just broke up with Hara!!!!
“shigani yak iraneun heunhan mal malgo deo hwakshil han bangbeobeul naege mareul haejwo” she rapped then Junhyung again then her again. Now everyone including me looked like an idiot just staring at their rap conversations.
After she ended the song, she bowed at everyone and she starts to get blushed. Everyone starts to scream again as they were so overwhelmed by her performance. Now everyone has start to really get noisy because of being overwhelmed then because of the alcohol.
Now, I’m looking forward on her. This girl has still a lot of amazing things hidden on her. And I start to look at her not just one smart nice girl but also a talented one.

Wait, did I just had a rap duet with Junhyung oppa? I didn’t expect that to happen. Now, I could say that Hyunseung oppa’s not the only one treasuring this celebration. This event is really unforgettable.
After I ended the song, everyone starts to scream again. I don’t know why. Is it because I did great or I ? Or because they’re just already drunk? I don’t know. I bowed at them and immediately sat beside Hyunseung oppa as Yoseob oppa grab the mic and start typing in some code for his turn.
“Yah, you didn’t tell me you could sing…really well.” Hyunseung oppa said as I sat beside him.
“Ani! I just really love singing. You guys are the real great ones!” I answered him. Someone appreciated my singing? Woah!!!! That’s just great!!! Then Hyunseung oppa stood up to join Yoseob with his craziness and I was left alone sitting. Then suddenly, I was surprised to see Doojoon sat beside me. In my surprise, I was just staring at him as he sat… BESIDE ME!!!! Is he going to talk to me now? My inner mind is celebrating!!!!!!!!!
“Hey, you really did great there!” he said without any trace of amazement, just plainly a compliment. Doojoon appreciated it too? Did I really did great in there? WOW!!!!!
“Thanks. Uhm… about the thesis. I’m almost done with the chapter 1. Yeah, I just felt I have to tell that to you.” I said not making an eye to eye contact with him, I try my best to busy my eyes watching everyone. I just want to make a decent conversation with him. I missed him.
“Really? That’s good! Thank you and I’m sorry if I wasn’t able to help.” He said while looking at me. I looked at him and I smiled.
“Ani, it’s nothing. And don’t feel sorry, I understand how busy you are. Just help me when you can!” I said trying to light up his apologetic aura. I do mean that. I really want to make things easy for him.
“Really, thank you! You’re really nice!” he said smiling and I felt that my lips curled up into a really wide smile. He said I’m nice???? He’s complementing me then now we’re finally talking like this. I’m sooooo happy!!!!! No words can even describe it!!!!!! Now, I felt some hopes going higher. I know it wasn’t right but I just can’t stop this feeling.
“Thanks!” that’s all I could manage to say. Then we both sit there silently watching the others getting crazy and crazier. Oh, they’re really drunk. And I also noticed Doojoon starts to get also drunk. He was also getting playful with everyone. And yes, I’m here watching me while having only my first glass and only drank half of it. I’m the only one sober here. Then suddenly, my bladder has been calling by the bathroom as I felt I really need to pee right now.
As I finally let go of what I need to let out, I went back to the room. I guess I’ve been away for a while. I suddenly felt that the room starts to get have a drunk aura. Though how much I love these people, I just really hate that aura. I guess a nice walk outside would be great. I went outside the noraebang and walk outside. I was enjoying the scent of air as I was from a room filled with drunk idols. I was hopping and jumping around then something stopped me from walking and made me hide somewhere. I hid behind a wall then peek in.
“Doojoon oppa, I still love you!” I heard a girl said, sounding drunk. I looked closely to verify who are those people. I might be wrong but… I gasped with what I saw the girl did.
