Moving on - Part 1

The next day at YulTaeSoo apartment

“KNOCK! KNOCK!”

“Tae, aren’t you supposed to go to pick up Tiffany this morning?”, Yuri shouted from outside. The time now is already 8:00 a.m. Taeyeon usually got up as early as 7:00 a.m. and he usually will prepare breakfast for the three of them. Since there’s no response from the latter, Yuri decided to enter his room. He slowly pulled the door knob, and popped his head inside. He found Taeyeon was still in dead asleep.

“Haishh.. this midget!”, Yuri grunted. He walked to the bed, and sat on the edge. “Tae, Tae, get up now. It’s already 8:00”, Yuri said as he patted on Taeyeon’s shoulder, tried to wake him up.

“Huh? W-what?”, Taeyeon lifted his head a bit, his eyes still closed. “Urghh.. my head”, he groaned. He landed his head back on the pillow while massaging his head.

“Tae, how many cans of beer you drank last night?”, Yuri asked. Taeyeon raised his hand, and showed his four fingers. “Tsk, tsk”, Yuri shook his head. “Aren’t you supposed to pick up Tiffany as usual?”, Yuri asked again.

“Nope. I’ve called the call center last night, and asked someone to pick her up today. I’m having a headache right now, of course I can’t drive”, he weakly said.

“Alright. I’ll make you a hot tea, and get a painkiller. Have a rest first”, Yuri said as he got up from the bed.

“Thanks, Yul”, Taeyeon thanked him before he closed his eyes back.

“RING! RING! RING!”

Taeyeon’s phone suddenly rings. He just ignored the call, and tried to get back to sleep. The phone then ringing back several times. Again, he just ignored it. He then heard a beep sound. “Urghh..”, he groaned before he took the phone, and looked at the screen. He then checked on the missed calls and text message.

“Hmm..”, he let out a soft sigh. Two missed calls from Tiffany, and one missed call from IU. “Huh? IU ssi? Why’s she calling me?”, he mumbled. He then checked on the text message. It’s from Tiffany.

From: Tiffany

Hi, Tae! I’m sorry for what I’ve done to you on yesterday. And, thanks for the food. Aren’t you going to pick me up today? Please call me back.

“Hmm..”, Taeyeon let out another sigh. He then replied the text.

To: Tiffany

You’re welcome. It’s okay. I’m not feeling well today. I’ve asked someone to send and fetch you from work today.

Taeyeon pressed the send button. A few minutes later, his phone rings.

“Hello”, he weakly answered the call without looking at the phone screen.

“Tae, are you okay? What happened to you?”, Tiffany asked in worried tone.

“I’m okay, Tiff. Just having a headache, that’s all”, he replied calmly.

“Tae.. is it because of..”, Tiffany was about to continue when suddenly Taeyeon cut her off.

“No, it’s not like that. I just not feeling well today, I need a rest, that’s all. Don’t worry too much, okay?”, Taeyeon said as he assured the latter.

“Okay, have a good rest. I’ll see you later. Bye!”, Tiffany said.

“Okay, bye!”, Taeyeon ended the call. He then threw his phone on the side table. Yuri then entered the room with a mug of hot tea and two tablets of painkiller.

“Here, drink this first, and then eat these. I need to go now. Get some rest today, okay?”, Yuri said as he put the mug and painkillers on the side table.

“Thanks, Yul!”, Taeyeon thanked him while leaning his back on the headboard. Yuri just smiled while raising his hand and gave his peace sign before he went out of the room. Taeyeon then carefully drink the tea, and swallowed two tablets of the painkiller. He was about to lie down when suddenly he smacked his own forehead.

“Haishh.. how can I forget to call IU ssi back”, he mumbled. He took his phone, and dialled IU’s number.

“RING! RING! RING!”

“Yoboseyo?”, a soft voice answered.

“An.. annyeong, IU ssi? This is Kim Taeyeon. Sorry I didn’t pick up your call earlier”, he said.

“Oh, Taeyeon ssi. I’m sorry if I disturbing you earlier. I thought I could use your taxi service this morning”, she replied.

“It’s okay. I’m off duty today. I’m not feeling well”, he said.

“Oh, jinja? I’m sorry to hear that. Have you taken your medicine yet?”, she asked in concern.

“Yes, I just took it. Hmm.. IU ssi..”, Taeyeon said.

“Yes, Taeyeon ssi? Is there anything that I can help you?”, she asked.

“Hmm.. c-can I ask you out for lunch tomorrow?”, he nervously asked.

Yeah, Kim Taeyeon. Why should you put a hope on her. Now it’s about the time that you should move on.

“Mwoh?”

Meanwhile, at the fitness centre

“Good morning bo.. huh? Krystal?”, Yuri was surprised to see Krystal in the office early this morning. She was sitting on the couch.

“Good morning, Yul oppa. Jaejoong oppa is still not arrive yet”, Krystal said with a smile. He smiled at her back, and headed to his desk. He put his backpack inside the drawer.

“Oppa, come and let’s have a breakfast first. I bought you a coffee and sandwich”, Krystal said as she pointed at the breakfast set that was on the table.

“Huh? You bought that for me?”, he asked. Krystal nodded her head smilingly. “Aigoo.. you don’t have to, Krystal. I’ve already had my breakfast at home before coming here”, he said. Krystal pouted. Yuri scratched his head as felt guilty after he said that to her. He then walked to the couch and sat next to Krystal.

“Alright, I’ll eat this. Next time you don’t have to do this for me, arasso?”, Yuri said.

“Arasso. Now, let’s eat!”, she happily said as she handed the coffee cup to Yuri. They eat their breakfast while chatting on random things. After done with their breakfast, Krystal clean up the table. Yuri couldn’t help but to smile while looking at her.

“At least, there’s someone who still appreciates me”, he thought.

“Thank you for the breakfast, Krystal”, Yuri thanked her.

“You’re welcome, oppa. And, stop calling me Krystal. Just call me Krys”, she replied. Yuri just smiled over her words.

“So, Krys, are you ready to start your work today?”, he asked while looking at the latter.

“Yes, I’m ready!”, Krystal replied excitedly as she got up from the couch.

“Okay, let’s go!”, Yuri said as he led Krystal to the gym.

Later on that afternoon, at YulTaeSoo apartment

“Tae, you’re not working today?”, Sooyoung asked while looking at Taeyeon. He was watching TV while eating ramyun. Sooyoung just woke up, and already taking his shower and get dressed.

“Nope, I’m having a headache. I just wanna stay at home today”, he replied while his eyes still glued on the TV screen.

“Heh? You had a headache yet you still eat ramyun?”, Sooyoung said as he shook his head.

“I’m hungry, though! And, there’s nothing left in the kitchen except this one”, he said as he raised the ramyun cup. He then continued eating his ramyun while looking at Sooyoung who was busy fixing his hair in front of the small mirror that was hanged on the wall.

“I thought you have two days off. Where are you going?”, Taeyeon asked.

“Oh, I want to see someone. I need to return her belonging”, Sooyoung replied while grabbing the black organizer that was on the side table near the mirror. “Alright, I’ve got to go now. Do you want me to buy anything for dinner tonight?”, he asked.

“Nope, I think I want to go back to my home to visit my mom. I probably will having my dinner there”, Taeyeon replied.

“Arasso. Send my regards to your mom, okay? I’ll see you later, bye!”, Sooyoung said as he walked to the door.

“Okay. Bye!”, he replied while waving his hand at Sooyoung.

40 minutes later, in front of XYZ Talent Agency building

“Should I call her first, or just walk-in?”, Sooyoung mumbled, still contemplating. He parked his car in front of the building. He tapping the steering wheel while looking at the organizer. “I think I just walk-in, and ask the receptionist there”, he mumbled again. He then took the black organizer that was on the passenger seat, and went out of his car. He then entered the main entrance of the building, and walked towards the reception counter.

“Excuse me, Miss. Can I know where’s Miss Seo Joohyun’s office?”, Sooyoung asked the receptionist.

“Oh, her office is at 10th floor. Do you have any appointment with her?”, the receptionist asked.

“I actually don’t have any. I just want to return her organizer here. She left it at the cafe on yesterday”, Sooyoung replied.

“Ah, yes. She’d been looking for that since yesterday. Could you please give me a minute? Let me check whether she’s in or not, okay?”, the receptionist said.

“Thanks, Miss”, he replied. The receptionist then dialled Seohyun’s extension. Luckily Seohyun was in her office at the moment, so, the receptionist informed her about Sooyoung and her black organizer.

“Miss Seo asked you to meet her right now. Her office is at the right wing”, the receptionist said.

“Thank you so much, Miss”, Sooyoung thanked her, and immediately walked to the elevator.

“DING!”, the elevator stopped at the 10th floor. Sooyoung immediately went out, and walked towards the office main door. He then pressed the bell, and a few seconds later the door opened. A girl then walked towards the door.

“Yes, how can I help you, Sir?”, the girl asked.

“Hmm.. I have an appointment with Miss Seo. Is she in?”, Sooyoung replied.

“Ah, yes, she’s in. Come on in, let me guide you to her room”, she said.

“Thanks”, Sooyoung replied as he entered inside, and he just followed the girl from behind to where Seohyun’s office room was located. After they reached in front of the room, she knocked the door.

“Come in!”, a voice shouted from inside. The girl pulled the door knob, and entered inside.

“Miss Seo, there’s someone wants to see you. He said he had an appointment with you”, the girl said.

“Oh, yes. Let him in”, she said. The girl then signaled Sooyoung to enter the room.

“Hi, Miss Seo. I’m Choi Sooyoung”, Sooyoung introduced himself. Seohyun’s eyes widened and immediately stood up from her chair.

“Hey, it’s you! I remember you! We got bumped in front of the cafe’s restroom on yesterday, right?”, she said excitedly. Sooyoung just smiled over her words.

“Yeah, and you dropped this”, he then handed the black organizer to Seohyun.

“Thank god! I’ve been looking for this since yesterday. I thought I’ve lost it somewhere”, she said as she took the organizer from Sooyoung’s hand. “Thank you so much, Mr. Choi. I’m so sorry for troubling you to send this to me”, she continued.

“It’s okay, Miss Seo”, Sooyoung replied with a smile.

“Just call me Seohyun”, she said as she held out her hand to shake hands with Sooyoung.

“Okay, and call me Sooyoung”, he replied and shook his hand with hers.

“Ermm.. I think I should do something to pay your kindness for returning this to me. How about I treat you for a lunch today?”, she said.

“It’s okay, Seohyun. You don’t have to do that”, Sooyoung replied.

“No, I insist. I really owe you, you know. This thing is kinda important to me. I’ll lost my job if I lost this”, she said. She then took her handbag and walked towards Sooyoung. She then grabbed Sooyoung’s hand and walked towards the door. Sooyoung was dumbfounded, and just blindly follow the girl, heading to the office’s main door.

“Lily, I’m going out for lunch for a while. I probably be back to the office a bit late”, Seohyun said to her staff.

“Okay, Miss Seo”, Lily replied while nodding her head.

“Alright, let’s go Sooyoung”, Seohyun said smilingly, still holding his hand.

“Oh..kkayy..”, he replied. Both of them then went out of the office.

Wow! This girl is really something!
