“Where are you going to take me?”, Hyoyeon said as he buckled up his seatbelt. Seohyun insisted to drive her car today, so, here they are, inside her car. They promised to have their lunch together today, and Seohyun told him earlier that she will fetch him from his workplace.

 

“Somewhere”, she replied with a smile. Hyoyeon puckered his lips while tapping his chin, looking at his fiancee curiously.

 

“Hmm.. sounds so suspicious”, he said, causing Seohyun to giggle. She ruffled his hair while continued to driving the car.

 

“Yah!”, Hyoyeon exclaimed while fixing his messy hair. Seohyun just laughed at him, receiving a glare from the latter.

 

“Aww.. you’re mad, honey?”, she said with a grin.

 

“Honey? I like that”, he thought smilingly.

 

“Anni. I can’t be mad at you because I love you. So, consider that you’re lucky today”, he said. “You’re so naughty today, huh?”, he said with a sly smile. Seohyun glanced at him and giggled. Her eyes then back concentrated on the road as she was driving the car, heading to the unknown destination.

 

“Annyeong haseyo!”, the waitress greeted the HyoSeo couple soon after they entered the restaurant. It’s a five star restaurant to be exact, and it’s located at Cheongdam-dong.

 

“Annyeong!”, Seohyun replied and winked at the waitress. The waitress winked at her back, and led the couple to the VIP dining room.

 

“Wow, are you going to treat me lunch at this expensive restaurant?”, he asked as both of them entered the room. Hyoyeon then pulled the chair for Seohyun.

 

“Thanks, honey!”, she said and sat on the chair. Hyoyeon smiled widely upon hearing the word ‘honey’.

 

“You’re welcome, babe. Is that the nickname for me?”, he asked. Seohyun blushed while nodding her head shyly. Hyoyeon giggled while looking at his sudden shy girlfriend. He then took the seat next to Seohyun, and wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

 

“You’re so bold to me just now. Why so shy out of sudden, huh?”, he said teasingly.

 

“Don’t tease me..”, she whined while jabbing her sharp elbow on Hyoyeon’s stomach, causing the latter to yelp.

 

“You’re so cute when you shy, babe”, he said and pecked on her cheek. Seohyun’s face flushed even more.

 

“Ehem! Sorry for interrupting your precious moment!”, a man’s voice suddenly echoed as the person entered the room, startling the couple. Seohyun suddenly got up from her seat, and bowed to the person. Hyoyeon followed his fiance as he stood up from his chair, and bowed. The tall middle-age man with his black chef uniform smiled at them.

 

“Annyeong, Hyunnie!”, he greeted her.

 

“Annyeong, appa!”, Seohyun replied.

 

“Appa?”, Hyoyeon’s eyes widen in shock, and his face turned pale. “He’s Seohyun’s father?”, he thought. He mentally cursed himself for kissing Seohyun’s cheek just now. Seohyun’s father then walked towards her, giving her a hug.

 

“Aigoo, it’s been a long time since you’re not coming here. How are you my dear?”, her father said while patting her back.

 

“I’m good, appa. How about you?”, she replied, still hugging his father.

 

“Same old, sweetie, same old. How come you seldom come back home to visit us since you moved out, huh?”, her father asked as he slowly pulled of the hug.

 

“I’m so sorry, appa. I was so busy with my work, you know, meeting with clients here and there. I will try to make it up to both of you after this, I promise”, Seohyun replied.

 

“It’s okay, sweetie. I understand”, he said. His eyes then shifted to the nervous looking Hyoyeon.

 

“And, this young man...”, he was about to ask when suddenly Seohyun interjected.

 

“He’s Hyoyeon, appa. He’s my.. he’s my boyfriend”, Seohyun said shyly. Her father’s eyes widen in shock at first, but he slowly let out a smile.

 

“Boyfriend?”, Hyoyeon was surprised with Seohyun's words just now, but he tried to understand on her situation right now.

 

"Maybe this is not the right time", he thought.

 

“A-annyeong haseyo, Sir!”, Hyoyeon immediately bowed to the older man respectfully. He never thought that Seohyun will introduce him to her father today as she never mentioned about it before. A sudden meeting like today makes him felt so nervous, just like the first time his late wife, Nicole introduced him to his parents in-law.

 

“Annyeong, Hyoyeon. It’s nice to meet you. Seohyun never brought her boyfriend or anyone to meet me and her mother before. You must be special to her”, Mr. Seo said while glancing at his daughter, and winked at her.

 

“Appaaaa..”, Seohyun whined as her face flushed. Hyoyeon’s face turned red as well. Mr. Seo giggled amusingly at both shy couple.

 

“Alright, alright. Appa won’t tease you anymore. Just sit back and relax, okay? The food will be served soon. I will cook my special dishes especially for my beloved daughter, and my soon-to-be son in-law”, he said, teasing the couple.

 

“Appaaaa..”, Seohyun whined again as she felt embarrassed with his father’s teasing words. Hyoyeon on the other hand just giggled awkwardly. Mr. Seo laughing amusingly before he walked out of the room.

 

“That was so embarrassing!”, she exclaimed as she facepalm her face. Hyoyeon chuckled while grabbing her hand, slowly pulling her to sit back on her chair.

 

“He’s just teasing you, babe. I like his sense of humor. It makes me feel comfortable”, he said while sitting on his chair.

 

“He’s always like that. He liked to tease me and my mother back then. He said that’s the way he relieves his stress after working as a chef for almost 30 years”, Seohyun said.

 

“Wow, he must be an expert one, huh?”, Hyoyeon replied.

 

“Yup. After quitting his job as an Executive Head Chef at Seoul Hotel, he opened this restaurant, and sometimes he was invited by some hotels or culinary schools to recruit new chefs, since he had wide experience in this field”, she explained. Hyoyeon nodded his head.

 

“What about your mother?”, he asked.

 

“She’s a piano teacher. She taught piano lesson for kids as early as five years old. She used to work at the music school, but she stopped working since I started school. Right now, she only become a personal piano teacher for certain clients”, she replied.

 

“Wow, your parents have a wonderful background”, Hyoyeon said in awe. “But, how did they meet? I mean, both of them have different background. Normally people will meet someone who are working in the same field or related, you know, just like us”, he asked in curious.

 

“You’re curious, aren’t you?”, Seohyun replied.

 

“Yup, I just want to know”, he said as he nodded.

 

“Are you that curious?”, she asked with a sly smile.

 

“Of course I am. Why are you asking me like that?”, Hyoyeon asked, furrowing his brows.

 

“If you’re curious, give me 50 cents!”, she said as she held out her hand before bursting out into laughter.

 

“What the.. y-yah!”, Hyoyeon snapped at her. Seohyun couldn’t stop laughing while holding her stomach.

 

“Oh, god! What day is today? Oh, yeah, first April, it’s April fool, right?”, he said as he smacked his forehead. He then laughed.

 

“Seo Juhyun, you are so naughty today, huh?”, he said while slowly creeping his hand on both side of her waist, ready to tickle the still laughing girl.

 

“Andwe.. andwe”, she said after she realized on what Hyoyeon wanted to do on her. She was about to get up from her seat, but it’s too late when Hyoyeon already launched his attack on her. Seohyun shrieked the moment Hyoyeon started tickling her waist, and kicking her feet while laughing non-stop. While the two lovebirds were busy playing around, suddenly..

 

“Ehem!”, a deep voice suddenly interrupted, causing both of them immediately stopped on what they were doing, and sat back straight on their respective chairs.

 

“Kids, sorry for interrupting your playing time”, the owner of the voice, no other than Seohyun’s father, Mr. Seo. He was carrying a tray of food, followed by his assistant who was carrying a tray of drinks. Both of them slowly approaching the table.

 

“Alright, here’s the food for both of you”, he said while placing the plates on the table. “Enjoy your lunch, okay? And, you guys can continue playing after having your lunch. It’s good to have some exercise after eating”, he said casually, earning a giggle from his assistant. Both of them were blushing madly.

 

“Mianhae, appa!”, Seohyun said as she ducked her head down, not daring to look at her father. Mr. Seo then chuckled.

 

“It’s okay, sweetie. I was just teasing you. Enjoy your lunch okay? I need to continue my work”, Mr. Seo said while patting on his daughter’s shoulder. He then signaling his assistant to leave the room.

 

“Oh gosh! Double embarrassing!”, she exclaimed, covering her face with her both hands. Hyoyeon on the other hand just giggled at his embarrassed girlfriend.

 

“Chillax, babe. Your appa said just now he was just teasing you”, Hyoyeon said as he patted on Seohyun’s thigh.

 

“Urghh.. this is all your fault!”, she groaned as she glared at him. Hyoyeon furrowed his brows, but his lips slowly formed a smile.

 

“Now, why is it my fault, huh? You pranked me just now, so, I just seek a revenge on you”, he said while giggling. “Alright, just forget about it, and let’s eat, okay?”, he said as he patted her thigh again, and started to dig in his food.

 

“Okay”, Seohyun nodded her head, and started eating her food.

 

Hyoyeon was eating his food quietly, and his mind still keep on thinking about why Seohyun introduced him to her father as her boyfriend, not her fiance. He wanted to ask her about that, but he was afraid Seohyun will misunderstood him. So, he just continued eating his food while spacing out.

 

“Why are you so quiet?”, Seohyun suddenly asked as she noticed Hyoyeon sometimes playing with his food, and he seems like he was in a deep thought.

 

“Honey?”, she asked again after Hyoyeon didn’t answer her. She then grabbed his arm, which makes the latter startled.

 

“Huh? W-what’s wrong?”, he asked.

 

"I asked you just know. Why are you so quiet out of sudden? You’re not your usual self”, she asked again.

 

“Oh, it's nothing”, he replied nonchalant. Seohyun stopped eating as she put down her chopsticks. She wasn’t satisfied with Hyoyeon’s answer. She then grabbed his arm, making the latter stopped eating as well.

 

“There must be something. Come on, spill it out”, she ordered. Hyoyeon let out a soft sigh, and put his chopsticks down. He cleared his throat before he started to speak.

 

“I’m sorry if I making this as a big issue. I.. I just wonder…”, he paused as he still contemplated whether he should tell her or not.

 

“You wonder what?”, she asked impatiently. Hyoyeon flinched.

 

“I.. I just wonder.. why are you not introduce me as your fiance to your father?”, he replied. Seohyun’s face expression immediately changed from frowning to smiling. She then let out a soft giggle.

 

“Honey, listen. The reason why I did that because, I didn’t want my father to freak out when he found out that we’re already engaged. I will tell him personally later. So, you don’t have to worry, arasso?”, she said as she caressed his cheek. Hyoyeon nodded his head meekly, and his lips slowly formed a smile upon hearing her answer.

 

“I’m sorry, babe”, he apologized, feeling guilty for bringing up such matter to her.

 

“Why are you need to be sorry? Honey, I understand on how you feel, but it’s not my intention not to tell my father about our unofficial engagement. It’s just, I need some time to explain to him. I don’t want to hurt his feeling, you know”, she said as she smiled.

 

“Yeah, I know”, he replied. He then took Seohyun’s hand, and entwined their hands together.

 

“Alright, let’s continue eating. We just have another half an hour before the lunch hour is over”, Seohyun said.

 

“Okay”, Hyoyeon replied, and both of them continued eating their food while chatting on random things.

 

“How’s the food, sweetie?”, Mr. Seo asked soon after HyoSeo couple approaching him at the reception counter. Mr. Seo insisted they didn't have to pay for the lunch as he wanted to treat them.

 

“Fantastic as always, appa”, Seohyun replied. Mr. Seo then turned to look at Hyoyeon.

 

“How long have you guys been dating?”, he asked. Hyoyeon gulped while looking helplessly at Seohyun. She just smiled as she encouraged Hyoyeon to answer her father’s question.

 

“A-about two months, S-Sir”, he said nervously. Mr. Seo then giggled.

 

“Aigoo. Please don’t call me Sir. I’m not an army retiree that you need to address me like that. Just call me uncle, okay?”, he said as he patted on Hyoyeon’s shoulder, making the latter startled.

 

“Y-yes, uncle”, he said shyly. Seohyun just chuckled on her father’s words.

 

“Appa, we really need to go now since our lunch hour is over. Thank you for the lunch, appa. I promise I will visit you and eomma soon”, Seohyun said as she leaned closer to hug her father.

 

“It’s okay, Hyunnie ah”, Mr. Seo replied as he returned the hug, and patted on her back.

 

“Why don’t you come and visit us this weekend? I will tell your eomma to cook dinner for us. And, please bring this boyfriend of yours too, okay? We would like to know about him more”, Mr. Seo suggested.

 

“Sure, appa”, Seohyun said as she pulled of the hug.

 

“Thank you so much, uncle”, Hyoyeon said as he bowed to the middle-aged man.

 

“You’re welcome, son. Please take care of Hyunnie here, okay?”, Mr. Seo said while patting on his back.

 

“I will, uncle”, he replied with a smile.

 

“Appa, please send our regards to eomma, okay? Tell her I missed her so much”, Seohyun said before she bid goodbye to her father.

 

“Sure, sweetie. Drive carefully, okay?”, he replied.

 

“Dae”, Seohyun said, and both of them waved their hands at Mr. Seo before they went out of the restaurant.

Hello chinggus! Sorry for the long hiatus. Just wanna tell you that I'm still alive.. hehe. Sorry again for the late update. So many things happened to me for the past months, and I just recovered from flu and cough. So, I hope you guys will like the update. Thank you for patiently waiting for me.

 

Well, as you guys already know, another Soshi members dating news revealed today. So, we should congratulate KhunFany couple for finally end up as an official couple. For Hyoyeon, we felt so sorry to know about her broken relationship, but it's a good thing for her though, since the news reported that her ex-boyfriend was the one who made the police report last time. Hopefully Hyo will find a good man in the future. So, let's pray for their happiness, and keep supporting SNSD, okay? :)
