LA, Here We Come! - Last Part

 

“Taetae, this is Chloe, and this is Debbie, my cousins and also my BFF. Girls, this is Kim Taeyeon, my fiance”, Tiffany introduced Taeyeon to her cousins.

 

“Aww.. finally we meet you, Taetae!”, Chloe exclaimed excitedly as she stretched out her hand, wanting to shake hands with him.

 

“H-hi, Chloe! Nice to meet you!”, he shyly greeted her with his thick Korean accent while shook hands with the latter. Chloe giggled as she found it funny and cute at the same time.

 

“Hi, Taeyeon! Nice to meet you!”, Debbie greeted him as she smiled, and shook hands with the latter.

 

“Hi, Debbie! Nice to meet you too”, he replied.

 

“So, are you guys ready? Shall we go now, Tiff?”, Chloe asked.

 

“Yup, yup! Let’s go!”, Tiffany exclaimed excitedly while grabbed his fiance’s wrist and pulled him to walk together towards the car. It’s actually Chloe’s car, and they had planned to take a tour around LA together for the last time before the TaeNy couple returning to Seoul in two days.

 

They then immediately leave from The Hwang's residence, heading to the Disneyland Park in Anaheim as their first destination in the list. It was TaeNy small wish actually to go there since both of them liked Disney cartoon characters, and they rarely could spend their time going to an amusement park together.

 

After an hour’s drive, finally they arrived at their destination. Chloe parked the car at the car park provided.

 

“Alright, we are here!”, she announced right after she turned off the car’s engine.

 

“Tiff, we will go to buy the ticket first. Mind if you two wait for us at the main entrance over there?”, Debbie said.

 

“Sure, babe”, Tiffany replied and gestured Taeyeon to get off the car. Taeyeon then rushed to the other side to open the door for Tiffany.

 

“Thanks, Taetae”, she thanked him while flashing her infamous eye smile.

 

“You’re welcome, baby”, Taeyeon replied, and slowly grabbed Tiffany’s hand as to help her to get off the car.

 

“Aww.. so sweet!”, Chloe and Debbie exclaimed in sync while both of them looked at Taeyeon in awe.

 

“Yah, yah! You girls have your respective boyfriends, so back off!”, Tiffany said as she stood up sending a glare at both of her cousins.

 

“Geez! Jealous Stephanie Hwang is always like that”, Chloe retorted as she rolled her eyes in annoyance, while Debbie just chuckled. She then dragged Chloe to the ticketing counter while waving her hand at the TaeNy couple. The loving couple then walking hand in hand, heading to the empty bench near the main entrance of the famous amusement park. Both of them sat down while waiting for Tiffany’s cousins to buy the tickets. Tiffany then hooked her arm around Taeyeon’s, and leaned her head on his shoulder.

 

“We used to come here when we were small. Our parents will treat us to go to the amusement park during a summer break. But, after my mother passed away, I lost my interest to come here again until I decided to move to Seoul, to forget all the memories with my mother for a while”, Tiffany said as she sighed. Taeyeon then wrapped his arm around her shoulder, and kissed on top of her head.

 

“You don’t have to do that, babe. Those sweet memories you had with your mother, you can share with our children later. I’m sure they wanted to know about how their grandparents were, on how your mother took care of you until you grown up and became a sweet, beautiful and loving mother to them”, Taeyeon replied as he tried to soothe his fiancee’s feeling. He knew, Tiffany felt sad every time she visited Disneyland, the place which kept lots of her sweet childhood memories with her late mother.

 

“Yeah, you’re right, Taetae. I can’t wait for our child to be born, so that I can take care of him/her well, and to be a good mother to them”, she said as she caressed her cute bloated tummy.

 

“I can’t wait too, babe. I want to be a good Daddy to them, play with them, and we can bring them to Disneyland for our family vacation”, Taeyeon replied as he put his hand on top of his fiancee’s hand and caressed it gently.

 

“Aww..you two are so romantic!”, Chloe exclaimed while looked at the couple in awe, causing both of them startled with their sudden appearance.

 

“Aishh.. this brat! Are you planning to tease us the whole day, huh? Yah! Where’s the ticket?”, Tiffany exclaimed while shoot a glare at the latter. These three cousins were getting used with their love-hate relationship, but they were just being playful. Taeyeon and Debbie just chuckled while looking at them.

 

“Here you go, officer!”, Chloe said as she rolled her eyes annoyingly while handed the two tickets to her cousin.

 

“Thank you, sweetie!”, Tiffany thanked her while flashing her infamous eye smile. Yeah, the smile which actually almost all Hwangs inherited with, including her two cousins.

 

“Alright, let’s begin our adventure!”, Chloe exclaimed excitedly like a small kid while putting her hands up in the air, earning laughter from the rest. They started to walk around the amusement park in group.

"Tired?" Taeyeon asked as he handed a bottle of drinking water to his fiancee. They were sitting

on the bench near the Mickey’s Fun Wheel where her two beloved cousins were enjoying themselves riding it for the second time.

 

“A little. I’m hungry actually. Aishh.. when are those two brats will stop riding that thing? I felt dizzy when riding it just only once”, she grunted. Taeyeon smiled upon hearing her small grunt.

 

“Aigoo.. just let them have some fun over there, okay? If it is not because you are pregnant right now, I bet you will join them inside that ride for the second time”, Taeyeon said teasingly.

 

“Yah! I’m not!”, she whined as her hand automatically slapped his arm. Taeyeon chuckled while looking at her in amuse.

 

“Let’s wait for them to finish, and then we ask them to have our brunch later, okay?”, Taeyeon said.

 

“Okay”, Tiffany replied while leaned her head on his shoulder.

 

After waiting for almost twenty minutes, finally Chloe and Debbie had done having fun with the Mickey’s Fun Wheel, and the girls then heading to the bench where the TaeNy couple were sitting.

 

“Having fun so far?”, Tiffany asked in sarcastic tone which her two cousins just brush it off.

 

“Yeah, it’s been a while, though. I really missed riding this with you girls. Do you still remember when we were small, we often ride this wheel with your brother Leo? He couldn't stop crying for fear of heights. Poor him at that time”, Chloe said while giggled.

 

“Yeah, I still remember that”, Tiffany couldn’t help but to chuckle, reminiscing their childhood memories of riding the wheel.

 

“Chincha? I couldn’t believe a tough guy like your brother is afraid of heights”, Taeyeon said casually, causing the rest laughed.

 

“He’s a mama’s boy because he’s the only son in our family, Taetae. But, ever since he entered college, he has changed and started to like sports and become an active athlete”, Tiffany explains. Taeyeon nodded understandingly.

 

“Girls, I’m hungry. Can we grab our brunch first? I’m craving a turkey sandwich right now”, Tiffany said to her cousins.

 

“Yeah, why not? I feel hungry too after riding that wheel.  Let’s have a brunch at our usual place.  Blue Bayou Restaurant?”, Debbie suggested.

 

“Aww.. my mouth is watering. Kaja!”, Tiffany said as she slowly got up from the bench with the help of her fiance.

At Blue Bayou Restaurant

 

After walking for about ten minutes from the Mickey's Fun Wheel, the four of them then finally arrived at the restaurant. The restaurant was quite packed at the moment, but they managed to get the vacant table for four persons as the staff ushered them to the still vacant table.

 

“Wow, it’s still pack like usual, huh?”, Tiffany said. Taeyeon pulled the chair for her to sit, causing the other Hwangs looked at them in awe while smiling sheepishly. Tiffany noticed on it, and she stuck her tongue out at them, causing her two cousins snickered at her. Taeyeon on the other hand just shook his head while giggled silently, feeling amused with their childish act. He then took a seat next to his fiancee. Not long after, the staff arrived with the menu and laid them on the table.

 

“What do you want to have, Taetae?”, Tiffany asked while putting her hand on his back, rubbing it gently. Taeyeon tapped his chin while looking at the menu. After a while, he sighed as he couldn’t decide on what he wanted to eat. The list of food on the menu were so foreign to him since he’s not a fan of American food.

 

“I’ll just have the same with what you have, Fany ah”, Taeyeon replied.

 

“Tiff, you said you are craving a turkey sandwich, right? Why don’t you two order the signature dish of the restaurant?”, Chloe suggested.

 

“Hmm.. good idea. Taetae, you don’t mind, right?”, Tiffany asked him.

 

“Anything will do, babe”, Taeyeon replied as he smiled.

 

“Alright. I would like to have two sets of Le Special de Monte Cristo Sandwich, and two Louisiana Lemonade for drinks. That’s all”, Tiffany said as she made her order. “What about you girls?”, she asked.

 

“Since I’m hungry, I would like to have Royal Street Seafood Jambalaya set, and for drinks I would like to have the same. That’s all”, Chloe made her order.

 

“Ermm.. I would like to have Herb-marinated Flat Iron Steak set, and I would like to have Mint Julep for drinks, thanks”, Debbie placed her order. The staff jotted down all the menus they have ordered, and repeat the order once again for confirmation before she left their table.

 

“Hey girls, if you want to continue with the game activities after brunch, you can proceed without us, okay? I’m sorry I can’t join you girls because, you know, with my condition right now”, Tiffany said to her cousins.

 

“It’s okay, Tiff. We can just proceed with other games which not involve rides. You can join too, you know”, Debbie replied.

 

“Yeah, sounds fun too. But, you know how bad I was on a game like that. Taetae, do you want to join them?”, Tiffany asked her fiance. She wants Taeyeon to be involved with their activities so he doesn’t feel neglected since he’s the only thorn among the roses.

 

“Sure, why not?”, he replied. Not long after, the staff came to their table with food and drinks they had ordered earlier and immediately served on the table.

 

“Thank you!”, they thanked the staff in chorus.

 

“You’re welcome. Enjoy your meal!”, the staff replied before she left the table.

 

“Alright girls, and the one and only guy here”, Tiffany said as she patted on Taeyeon’s thigh. “Say a prayer first before we dig in”, she continued and immediately closed her eyes. The others just followed suit and once they had done with the prayer, they then began to eat their food while chatting some random things.

After the having their brunch, Chloe and Debbie planned to go to the Haunted House to continue their fun time there.

 

“Are you two sure you don’t want to join us playing this game?”, Chloe asked the TaeNy couple.

 

“It’s a haunted house, dude. Do you want me and my baby inside my womb got a heart attack?”, Tiffany sarcastically replied, causing the rest chuckled on her words.

 

“Opss.. I forgot that you are pregnant, babe. Sorry! Hehe..”, Chloe said with a giggle. Tiffany just rolled her eyes.

 

“It’s okay, girls. You two just go ahead, okay?” Me and Taetae will join you two later. We want to go to the souvenir shop there to look for souvenirs”, she said.

 

“Alright. We will meet you back there”, Debbie said as she and Chloe waved at them, and started to walk to the Haunted House entrance.

 

“Shall we go to the souvenir shop now, Taetae?”, Tiffany asked.

 

“Yeah, sure babe. Kaja!”, he said enthusiastically and grabbed his fiancee’s hand, entwined their hands together, heading to the souvenir shop. While Taeyeon was busy observing the view of their surrounding, suddenly Tiffany stopped walking, causing Taeyeon to stop walking too.

 

“W-wae?”, he asked. He saw Tiffany was staring at somewhere, and he immediately followed the direction to where his fiancee was staring at.

 

“Oh no!”, Taeyeon gasped the moment he saw the pink building which Tiffany was staring at. It’s a souvenir shop painted in a pink which have My Little Pony cartoon characters statue on the top of the roof.

 

“Oh yes! Aww.. Taetae! I wanna go there. Kaja!”, she said excitedly while hooked her arm through his, and basically dragging her fiance to go there. Taeyeon sighed in defeat and just followed her suit.

 

“Aigoo.. babe. How many pink stuffs you want to buy, huh? These are already too much, you know”, Taeyeon said as he lifted four shopping bags contained pink little pony plush toys and some merchandises related to it, all of them in pink color.

 

“I want to buy this pink baby pillow set for our baby, Taetae. It’s cute. Please?”, Tiffany said while giving her puppy eyes look. She knew Taeyeon will give in whenever she did her aegyo to him.

 

“But, all of them in pink color, Fany ah. What if we got a baby boy? I don’t think it will suit him, you know”, Taeyeon replied as he disagree. Tiffany pouted, and she slowly put the pink baby pillow back on the display shelf. Taeyeon slowly let out a sigh as he didn’t have a heart to see his beloved one sulking.

 

“Arasso. You can buy them, babe”, he said. Tiffany then slowly let out a big smile and hugged him.

 

“Thank you, Taetae! I love you!”, she replied and gave a peck on his cheek.

 

“I love you too, babe. But, promise me this will be the last item we buy in here, okay?”, he said.

 

“Okay!”, she replied as she nodded. She then pulled off the hug, and quickly took the pink baby pillow set and brought it to the cashier counter. Taeyeon just shook his head while giggled silently, staring at his 'pink maniac' fiancee excitedly marched towards the counter. After they had done with their shopping at that place, they then headed to the next souvenir shop to buy souvenirs for Taeyeon’s family and friends.

Chloe and Debbie were staring on the shopping bags in disbelief which they basically have been forced by their cousin to carry them for her.

 

“Urghh.. this pink maniac! I couldn’t believe she made us to carry all these pink stuffs for her”, Chloe grunted annoyingly. Debbie chuckled after hearing her cousin’s complaint.

 

“Don’t complain, okay? You’re carrying my stuffs not for free. I promised I will treat you girls for dinner tonight”, said Tiffany who was walking behind them. “Besides, I’m pregnant and I can’t carry those shopping bags by myself. Taetae already carried four shopping bags for souvenir”, she said.

 

“Yes, ma’am! We don’t complain, though. We just feel annoyed with all these pink stuffs we have to carry”, Chloe said sarcastically, causing Debbie and Taeyeon chuckled on her words. Tiffany quickly glared at her fiance, causing him shut his mouth up immediately.

 

“You! Don’t insult my favorite color, okay?”, she pointed at her cousin with an intense glare, and the latter immediately covered and giggled silently. She then gestured her two cousins to walk faster to the car park.

 

“Aishh.. what’s wrong with this woman today?”, she groaned softly, but still comply to whatever her cousin asked her to do. Not long after, they arrived at the car park, and Taeyeon helped them to load the shopping bags into the car’s trunk. After making sure all of them already got inside the car, Chloe then turn on the engine, and started to drive to the next destination, The Rose restaurant, which located in Venice to have their dinner there. After the dinner, they went to the Venice beach, having a stroll there before they went back home almost in the midnight.

Two days later, at LAX

 

After spending their vacation with The Hwang family for two weeks in LA, today is the time for TaeNy couple to return to Seoul. Tiffany and Taeyeon were inside Mr. Hwang’s car as he wanted to send off his beloved daughter and his future son-in-law to the airport. The rest of the family went to the airport with their respective cars.

 

“Taeyeon, sweetie. You guys go inside first, okay? I need to park this car at the parking lot. I’ll meet you two at the waiting area later”, Mr. Hwang said right after he stopped the car in front of the main entrance.

 

“Okay, Daddy”, Tiffany and Taeyeon replied in unison. Taeyeon who got out of the car first then rushed to the passenger’s side to open the door for Tiffany, and after that he went to the car’s trunk to take out their luggages. Once he had done with the luggage, Mr. Hwang waved at them before he drove off to the parking lot.

 

“Kaja!”, he said as he pulled the luggages with his left hand, and his right hand grabbing Tiffany’s hand and entwined it together.

 

“Hmm..”, Tiffany replied in short. Her face looks gloomy and sad. Taeyeon who noticed on his fiancee sudden mood change then let out a faint smile. He knew she felt sad to leave her beloved family again.

 

“Babe, don’t be sad, okay? We will come back again here for our wedding reception after we had done in Seoul”, Taeyeon said softly while caressing her hand with his thumb. He then suddenly heard a faint sob, and he knew Tiffany was crying. His heart sank when watching his fiancee crying like that. He then quickly walked towards the empty seat at the waiting area, and put their luggages at the side before he asked his fiancee to take a seat.

 

“T-tae-tae..”, she weakly called him right after Taeyeon sat next to her.

 

“Aigoo.. come here, baby”, Taeyeon gently pulled her into his embrace and hugged her. “There, there. Don’t cry, okay? It’s not good for our baby. He/she will feel sad too, you know”, Taeyeon said as he rubbing her back softly, tried to comfort her.

 

“I.. I’m not crying, though. I just feel sad”, she reasoned, earning a chuckle from Taeyeon.

 

“Oh, God! Here we go again! Our cry baby little sister!”, a voice suddenly interrupting the couple, causing them startled and immediately pulled off the hug.

 

“Just shut up, Leo!”, Tiffany exclaimed while glaring at him, causing her brother laughed.

 

“Honey, stop teasing your little sister, will you?”, Alice, Leo’s wife scolding her husband. Leo lifted up his both hands in defeat.

 

“Serves you right!”, Tiffany said as she stuck her tongue out at her brother. Leo playfully showed his fist to her, but he suddenly stopped when he earned an icy glare from his wife. Tiffany chuckled when she saw that.

 

“Hey, Tiff. Sorry we are a bit late. My work shift just end half an hour ago, and we straightly heading here after Leo picked me up from the hospital”, Alice said as she spread her arms and hugged her sister-in-law.

 

“It’s okay, sis. Sorry for troubling you guys”, she replied with a faint smile.

 

“No it’s not, sweetie. We really want to send you off because we are going to miss you”, Alice said as she patted on her back before she pulled off the hug.

 

“Where’s Michelle and Mark?”, Leo asked while his eyes wandering around the area.

 

“We are here!”, Michelle suddenly appeared with her husband, Mark.  “Aww.. come here my baby sis”, she said as she leaned towards her baby sister and hugged her.

 

“I will miss you, unnie”, she said between the sobs. Michelle smiled and kissed on her baby sister’s cheek.

 

“Don’t be sad, okay? You’re going to be a mother soon. Be strong. Taeyeon and his family over there will always be by your side to take care of you and your baby. Right, Tae?”, Michelle replied while glancing at Taeyeon, flashing the infamous Hwang’s eyesmile.

 

“Yes, noona. We will take care of her like a princess, don’t worry”, Taeyeon said as he nodded.

 

“Thank you, Tae”, she thanked him before she pulled off the hug.

 

“Is everyone here? Where are your cousins? I thought they want to send you off too?”, suddenly Mr. Hwang’s voice could be heard, and all of them immediately looking at him.

 

“Daddy!”, Tiffany exclaimed while dashed towards her beloved father and hugged him.

 

“Aigoo.. be careful, sweetie. You’re pregnant, though”, Mr. Hwang said.

 

“I will miss you, Daddy”, she replied sadly.

 

“We will miss you too, sweetie. We will see you again in your wedding day, okay? I will make sure the whole family will fly Seoul on next month to attend your wedding ceremony”, Mr. Hwang made his promise.

 

“Really? I love you, Daddy!”, she said with a big smile.

 

“I love you too, sweetie”, Mr. Hwang replied and kissed her forehead.

 

“Stephanie Hwang Miyoung!”, a sudden voice being heard calling Tiffany’s full name, and all immediately turned their heads towards the source of the voice. There were no other than Chloe and Debbie, their cousins.

 

“Hey, cuz! Come over here!”, Tiffany immediately pulled off the hug and gestured her two cousins to come to her. They then formed a group hug while patted on each others back.

 

“Aigoo.. I’m going to miss you two. Thanks for spending your time with us with the tour”, Tiffany said with a sad pout.

 

“What’s with the pout, huh? Of course we will see you again, cuz! We will definitely come to Seoul to celebrate your big day there”, Chloe replied with a grin.

 

“Really? Aww.. that’s very sweet of you two! I want you girls to be my bridesmaid!”, Tiffany said, clapping her hands excitedly.

 

“Gone her sad mood in a split second when she talks about wedding thing with her cousins”, Leo whispered to Taeyeon, causing the two guys chuckled.

 

“Yah! Don’t corrupt my Taetae’s mind!’, Tiffany said as she saw Leo whispered something to her fiance, and she shoot a glare at her brother. Leo just laughed and lifted up his both hands in defeat.

 

The Hwang family and Taeyeon continued their chatting until it’s about the time for them to depart. They bid their goodbye for the last time before they headed to the boarding gate.

“Yeah, it supposed to be Taeng and Fany who will get married first, and me and Sica next . What was really made you changed your mind, huh?”, Sooyoung said, still struggling to put his bowtie. “Aishh.. I hate to wear this stupid tie!”, he groaned in frustration, causing his two best friends laughed at him.

“I don’t want to wait for too long, though. Besides, Yoong is pregnant, and my mother wanted to take care of her until she will give a birth to our baby. My parents wanted me to stay with them since our baby will be their first grandchild. They didn’t want me to leave Yoong alone while I’m working”, Yuri explains.
